I would give like a 4.5/4.75 if I could. The decor is very nice, (very brown and artsy in a museum kind of way), and the food was delicious. I will say, I came as a single reservation and it was crowded, so I expect service to be a little brief as they have like 50 other people to serve. The waiter I had was very nice, but he had a 16-top next to me so it could've been better if circumstances warranted. Even though the place is quite spacious, they pack the seating very tight. It can be quite claustrophobic in certain areas of the restaurant. This is the only location I've been so I have no other reference. I got the limone tagliatelle and it was delicious. The portion size was comfortable but I do wish I had more. It was one portion and I believe one portion alone, not much for leftovers. I know that's most likely a tactic to make you order more, so great on them. Good at biz! The pasta is homemade and you can definitely tell, the texture is softer and is just better. I believe the limone sauce is most comparable to a chicken broth based alfredo, with Parmesan cheese and lots of butter. It is rich but it is not as creamy and (solid? idk how to explain it) as a traditional a Italian American alfredo. The sauce is almost like a Parmesan soup but in a good way. The lemon balances it out and it is very good. Highly highly recommend this dish, especially for a picky eater. Not that I am at all, I was just craving something like this in the moment, and it hit. The tap water is good quality, and the bread is a delicious. A crime they only give two slices per person. I wanted more! I am not a fan of olives, but I bet if you are, you would enjoy the ones they give. Just not a fan, personally! I had their take on a cosmopolitan / lychee martini, and it was very good. It was slightly sweet, very aromatic, and not overly strong until the end. I believe they use absolut vodka, if you're a vodka snob and that matters. Vodka isn't my first spirit of choice but the flavors were balanced. I will say though, this to me almost tasted like perfume. Maybe the mixture of the alcohol and the lychee? As an aperativ I had a single shot of espresso and it was very good. Did not taste burnt or super acidic. Bitter? Yes of course, it's straight espresso. But a great palette cleanser. I was kind of floored by this one. Walking in, you're immediately greeted with friendly staff, warmth and delicious plates of everything, everywhere. I asked for a suggestion and was told the Carbonara is the most popular of the pastas. I'm a carbonara addict when I'm in Italy but honestly in the US, I have a hard time finding one I like. This one exceeded expectations. The waitress gave me a heads up about the raw egg on top which was appreciated because I'm sure they get people who weren't expecting it. Food came out super quick! The multi staff service was attentive the complimentary olives and bread were pleasantly consumed. We both ordered the Ricotta & Pomodoro Ravioli. The sauce was exquisite and sweet, the basil that adorned the dish added to the enjoyment, and I could have had twenty. For dessert, I had the White Chocolate Panna Cotta. I have never had this rendition and it was memorable. The lemon gel and white chocolate shavings elevated each spoonful and is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The other dessert was the Three Scoops of Chocolate Gelato. I was told, that it was one of the best they've ever had and was creamy and deliciously sweet. I came here after work one evening and tried the RW menu (note the hostess only gave the regular menu when seating and I had to ask for the RW one from the waiter, luckily I knew about it or it wouldn't have been mentioned). Chose the bruschetta as the appetizer, which was all right but needed more ricotta to balance out the tomato. I would have actually preferred more of the complimentary bread & olive oil they gave at the start which was tastier. My lemon tagliatelle entree had a delicious lemon sauce but the burrata seemed plopped coldly on top as an afterthought (and I say this as someone who loves burrata) and there'a no additional protein or seasoning. Grilled chicken or shrimp would have gone excellently with this sauce, and at the very least they should offer to grind some fresh pepper on top. The star of the meal was definitely the dessert--the pistachio panna cotta may have been the best thing I've eaten all month! I also had a mocktail to drink, the "non il farfalla rosa", which was pretty & delicious. Service was great--my waiter was friendly & I asked him for recommendations (clearly he gave good ones!) and he periodically came by to check how everything was; the busboy also came by to give new utensils after each course, clear plates & fill water etc. The restaurant was packed & lively, and while tables were fairly close together the place has high ceilings and lovely decor/ambiance. Five very enthusiastic stars! On the way to NYC, our small group was looking at dinner options, and everyone agreed Italian sounded good. After seeing Olio E Più pop up with rave reviews, we booked a reservation. (I am glad we booked ahead, as they were telling customers it was a 2+ hour wait that evening.) The decor in the room was really pretty, and there was a steady buzz of activity throughout our visit. Our waiter was absolutely lovely. Although he said he was new, we wouldn't have known it unless he told us, as he expertly made recommendations and served us well throughout the evening. One of the first culinary standouts was the olive oil that came with the bread. This is the REAL single-source non-adulterated EVOO that has a distinctive earthy taste. I can't remember the last time I got to enjoy oil like this at a restaurant. I ordered the Spaghetti alle Vongole. In my Italian family, there's no such thing as too much garlic. If a recipe calls for a clove, it gets a bulb. But this dish was beautifully garlic-forward with a generous portion of clams atop the handmade spaghetti. We joked that the vampires of The Lost Boys wouldn't dare mess with us after our dinner! It also went perfectly with a glass of Prosecco. Although we were pretty full from the meal, the chocolate mousse looked too interesting to pass up. It was so amazing that we ended up ordering a second! The salt flakes and light EVOO drizzle really brought the depth out of the chocolate, and the cocoa nibs added a nice crunch to contrast with the softer mousse. I unfortunately think the West Village location is superior to this one. My cup of water had two random dots floating in it so I didn't really drink it. Idk if the prices went up recently but I feel like it's gotten more expensive but the pasta portions aren't reflecting the prices fairly. The ravioli dish is $28 for 5 pieces which felt like a big rip off. However, the Olio Club was quite big and came with nice hot crispy fries. I was able to share the sandwich with my friend whose ravioli portion was so small and barely filled her up. I do wish the bread on the sandwich was toasted a bit longer. It's a nice space inside and the service was good, but I think there's better Italian spots in Midtown for sure. read more

At this newer location across the way from Bryant Park, it's a bit more upscale than the Greenwich (my personal favorite) location which has more of a homier, boutique feel. But the two share the same excellence in food and service. Gabriella here at this location was incredible to myself and family, and made it a dinner they will remember. Olio is such a great place for larger groups, families, kids, and even date night. Great food, great service. 10 out of 10. Not pictured but recommended by Gabriella was their Lasagnetta Classico which was incredible. The tagliatelle is rich, creamy and fresh...perfect for keeping things light. This was my birthday dinner 8/10 Cavatelli Lamb Ragu - It was okay! The flavors were just eh, and I wasn't a huge fan of how the meat was prepared. I also didn't love the pasta that it came with. She never refilled our water, even after my boyfriend's cup had been empty after sitting down for only 10 minutes. My boyfriend also let our server know that it was my birthday, but she never mentioned whether we received a birthday dessert or anything special she just said "Congrats happy birthday" okay... lol On top of that, we never received our complimentary bread. We had to ask the manager about it while we were eating our pasta, and he immediately went to get it for us. The manager was honestly so kind and apologetic. He offered us 2 desserts to make up for the missing bread, but we only wanted 1 because we didn't want to take advantage. Like crazy noisy. I could hear the person next to me better than my spouse across the table. The food however, more than makes up for the noise and we enjoyed ourselves. My husband took me here for dinner on Mother's Day, and overall we had a really pleasant experience. I loved the ambiance and decor, though the restaurant did feel quite hot due to the small space and limited airflow, so I was sweating quite a bit. Other than that, the food was phenomenal. The tartufa pizza was genuinely one of the best bites I've ever had, and I'd come back just for that alone. The espresso martini was also the best I've ever had. My waitress Ayla W. was very kind and patient with me as I asked various questions about different meals for a first-timer. She gave her honest opinions and consistently checked on me. Shoutout to her for the great service! As for the ambiance, it's a very dim and intimate setting, but the dress code is free. I ordered the popular Spaghetti Carbonara - it was finely crafted, the meat within was pretty flavorful, and it was topped with an egg. Could've used a pinch of salt and maybe pepper for the overall flavoring (aside from the meat that was sprinkled within), but that's just my personal opinion when it came to the overall meal (to each his/her own). Note that this meal is also a medium-sized portion, so I'd advise ordering a side or salad, if you're pretty hungry. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. I also ordered the Polenta Fritta. This was my first time hearing of this, and the best I can do to explain it would be mashed potatoes with a mozzarella stick-like breading (if that makes sense). It'd give this an 8/10. Olio e Più near Bryant Park gave us one of those meals that stays with you long after you leave. We started with the tuna tartare and the grilled octopus, and both were absolute standouts. The tartare was incredibly fresh and bright, with clean flavors that let the quality of the fish shine. The octopus was tender with a perfect char -- one of the best versions I've had in the city. Next came the Insalata di Spinaci, a simple but beautifully executed salad that added a fresh, crisp break between courses. solid NYC italian institution. i'm a big fan of sausage and broccoli/broccolini pasta so the orecchiette pasta was a must order for me. both the carbonara and orecchiette were yummy when i first started eating but then as i continued eating got to to be way to heavy and salty lol but also i'm generally not the biggest fan of the restaurant italian food i've had so take that with a grain of salt. they give free bread as every italian institution should but i felt judged when i asked for more bread. service was reallllyyyy mid like this waiter guy must've not liked us that much also we got sat at this tiny 2 seater table and my friend had a giant pillar behind her so we just didn't have that much space even though the restaurant is pretty big on the inside. overall the pasta was yummy but i don't know if i would necessarily come back. read more

Came here during the cold Winter of 2026 and let's just say, I am thankful that there's two doors and a heater blasting between the two doors. I end up sitting close to the main entrance since I wanted to sit at a table and I was eating by myself. I rarely ever felt the cold wind because there's two doors. And when I left my table to put my Winter coat on properly by their entrance, it was nice that it was heated so I didn't feel the cold as much the main entrance door opened. They just knew to let me enjoy my food. I came during January restaurant week of 2026 so I got to try their restaurant menu. Insalata di spinaci - a delicious salad! It has a hint of citrus and balsamic vinegar with right amount of cheese to balance it all. There's some almonds so if you have a tree-nut allergy, just let your server know. Piccata limone e salvia - just an all hearty meal for lunch. Nice balance of protein, lemon, and veggies. Overall, I would come again even if it's not restaurant week. I recommend the $45 dinner menu. It was the first time a restaurant didn't give small portions. I love the orecchiette because it was well seasoned and I was getting my vegetables intake. I saw servers walking around the restaurant waiting in corners so it's not like it was too busy and they were swamped with their tables. We only had 5 dinners in new york, so I did my homework and had big expectations and maybe that was the problem. We snagged a reservation through Open Table a few days before about 9. Super easy to get to and host was friendly. We showed up 15 minutes early and was asked to wait at the bar. No worries. Bartender made yummy cocktails and was attentive. Wish I hadn't sent my hubby to check on our table (quite sure they forgot about us and bartender was way more attentive then what we got from our waiter). The room was well decorated with a real tree in the middle. Very festive. However, they sat the tables so close together near the tree the people next to us couldn't even get out (and they were small girls). Our waiter seemed less than excited for another table and that continued all evening. For app, we ordered Focce Tagliere Trentino. It was crisper than crisp and so many greens I couldn't find the rest. It wasnt cut all the way which made it very hard to eat. Also had the carpaccio. It was good but nothing exciting. For dinner, I was so excited for the carbonara. It was good. He got the Fusilli. It was fine. What hubby and I both decided.... it was fine everything was fine. We arrived here about 5:30 pm on a weeknight and the place was jampacked. That said, they were able to find us a high top table for two; there were four such tables lining the front of the bar. These tables are the smallest two top tables I've ever seen, they're really more of a table sized for one person. And they were back to back, where you are sitting with your back pressing up against the patrons chair behind you. I had to move my chair off to the side into a floor plant in order to sit down. The set up at this restaurant is designed for beyond maximum occupancy, whereas every square inch is used. Believe me, this restaurant does not take the diners comfort into consideration. Not only was every square inch of the place occupied, but there were so many people that the noise was almost deafening. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, these tables line the front of the bar, and for those of us dining at these dinky tables it was not fun. We had patrons who were waiting for tables, standing at the bar, trying to order drinks, so we have people literally standing up against our table as we are trying to dine. Not to mention servers were trying to get through constantly, so it was just a constant movement of people - a distracting and very annoying experience. The food itself was excellent. I visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening after work with a friend. The space itself is beautiful -- the ambiance, decor, and overall atmosphere were very inviting. Unfortunately, the experience did not quite live up to the setting. We were seated at a small table that was only about an inch away from the tables on either side of us, which made it extremely difficult to get in and out once those tables were occupied. Our server came over to take our order, but he spoke so quietly that it was difficult to hear him throughout the interaction. We ordered the meat and cheese board, beet salad, and spaghetti vongole to share. We originally wanted to try the ravioli pomodoro but asked if it could be made without sage. We were told that the sauce was already prepared, which was extremely disappointing -- an authentic italian trattoria and sauce is pre-made? Red flag. The food arrived all at once, brought out by the busser. Our server never asked whether we preferred the dishes served together or separately, which would have been helpful given the size of the table and the fact that we had both appetizers and an entrée. The spaghetti vongole was enjoyable but underwhelming. I appreciated that the pasta appeared to be homemade, but the dish itself lacked flavor and was a very small portion for the price ($32). Between the two of us, we each had only a few forkfuls. The beet salad was fine, but at $24, it did not feel like it offered much value. The meat and cheese board was the highlight of the meal, although it is also a dish that is difficult to miss the mark on. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment. Our server never checked in to ask how the food was, whether we needed anything else, or if we wanted another drink. The restaurant has a lot of potential given its beautiful space, but the overall experience felt rushed and more focused on turning tables than creating a memorable dining experience. Being located in a tourist area may contribute to that feeling, but regardless, the service and attention to detail should still match the expectations set by the restaurant's atmosphere and pricing. Overall, this was a one-time visit for me. Beautiful ambience - great for a date night. The waitress was lovely, our food was delicious. We got the arancini (really hit the spot), salmon, and carbonara. All super flavorful that paired so nicely with a nice wine. A definite repeat! read more

I finally got to try Olio e Piú -- at their new Bryant Park location -- and it lived up to the hype. I was surprised at how easy it was to snag a reservation, especially for a spot that feels this upscale. The service was amazing from start to finish. The space itself is beautiful and has that cozy, elevated Italian ambiance, but just a heads up: it is on the tighter side. I was seated in a corner booth that felt intimate and cute, but also a little cramped. Now the food... unreal. The quality of the noodles honestly blew me away. I ordered the carbonara and I still remember the taste of the sauce -- rich, silky, and perfectly balanced. The pasta had that fresh, chewy bite you only get from truly good handmade noodles. I would literally fly back to NYC just to have that dish again. Overall, great service, incredible pasta, and a slightly tight but charming space. Food was good, but horrible service. So many servers but not one came up to us to ask if we needed anything. It took forever to get a server's attention and took even longer to ask for our check. Even though this was the case, the second we finished eating something our plate was taken away so quickly before we could ask them a question. Also, all the other tables received bread and we didn't. Just go to the West Village location. This one is horrible. read more
