Broccoli Rabe Malfadine with Sweet Sausage
Andre V.

This was my most disappointing visit to one of the restaurants in the Quality group. It's a nice atmosphere and you didn't feel too crowded. Service was good but not overly helpful or engaging. Stated with the Whipped Ricotta which was very good. The next course was the Broccoli Rabe Malfadine which was very good. We then ordered the Hanger steak which was a huge disappointment. It was tough and chewy and not much flavor. Finished with the Ice Cream Cheesecake which was okay but not great. For the amount of money you spend here I would have wished for a more memorable dining experience

This place is absolute perfection! A perfect date night spot with a great ambiance, attentive service and incredible food and drinks. The chicken parm pizza is so unique and absolutely to die for!

The ambiance of Quality Italian is spectacular! I loved the design of the place. There was great care taken with the bar, dining area, bathrooms, etc. The appetizers were also delicious. We started with the ricotta & shrimp cocktail and drinks. Everything was great! My fish was also very good! My husband ordered a spicy lobster pasta,, but asked that it not be spicy and unfortunately it was. We also were not fans of the broccoli raab as it was too hard and hard to digest. Also some food was salty. My gelato dessert was delicious & the tiramisu was nicely presented, but my husband did not love. All in all, I really liked this place and I would definitely go back. I would try different menu items as I feel we just got a little unlucky on what we ordered. Bar also looks like a fun place to hang out!

Quality Italian in New York was another great experience. The service was excellent from start to finish and the food was outstanding. I ordered the Caesar salad, calamari, spicy lobster rigatoni, and the broccoli and everything was so good. The flavors were on point and the presentation was really well done. Really good ambiance, very chill vibes. This was my second time here and it still hasn't failed me yet. Consistent quality, great energy, and definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

Thank you for fitting my party in on short notice! The Italian was QUALITY! I've been to the steakhouse so I've always wondered about the Italian spot! After this, looking forward to trying the BISTRO! We ordered the stuffed clams, focaccia, lobster pasta, and truffle caccio de peppe! Also shared the most popular dessert, bread pudding. All exceeded expectations and were highly recommended by the staff! The lobster pasta, very unique cheesy and creamy texture and flavor! Full of lobster chunks! The truffle pasta was also delicious with shaved truffle, also creamy and delicious. The food tasted like they simmered it long to build up the flavor, yet the texture of the pastas was perfectly aldente! Cheers! They also followed instructions for my special cocktail(club soda, lemon juice, mezcal) to a tee!

Another stellar Quality brand restaurant, Quality Italian is definitely not to be missed. We dined in on a Monday and it was absolutely packed! Definitely make a reservation. To drink, I had the 57 Spritz which was nice - could've used a bit more aperol. They do give complimentary garlic bread rolls which is a plus. We tried a variety of items: Whipped Ricotta (good but could pass on it), Brussels, Delicate Squash (seasonal special), and of course 2 of their delicious pastas - the Gnocchi and the Truffle Cacio e Pepe. Both were fabulous and so rich/flavorful. Dessert is also a must - we had the Ferrero Rocher Gelato, Chocolate Cake, and the best of the 3 in my opinion, the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Our waiter was also wonderful - so kind and made a point to converse with us throughout the evening.

I've been here a few times and can honestly admit that I've had nothing but amazing experiences. The staff is super helpful, the food is beyond delicious and the atmosphere itself is such a dichotomy from the noisy streets of the city. I'm still day dreaming about the grilled octopus and they sure know how to make a martini! 10/10 each time. Will be back.

Quality Italian very much meets the mark for location, food, and price. This is a group dining, midtown restaurant, with Italian American food that has good service in a nice space. This is not going to achieve what you want out of a Del Posto (RIP) type spot, and certainly doesn't have the neighborhood feel of a Nonna Dora's, but it also delivers good food, in a sexy environment, that is great for a birthday dinner or a work get together. This is the same restaurant group that owns Bad Roman and Don Angie, both restaurants that deliver Italian food and a different vibe entirely. Don Angie would be my fun date spot, Bad Roman would be where I take my parents, and Quality Italian would be where I take my team. Tricolore margarita is the same as it was 10 years ago, the whipped ricotta just so tasty, the paccheri honestly really good and the truffle cacio e pepe so tasty. The chicken was good, the salmon tasty, and nothing was overwhelmingly large, but nothing was overwhelmingly great. The whole experience is marked with honestly great service each step of the way. I love that about it.

I have been to three of the restaurants in the Quality restaurant group, here, Quality Bistro, and Bad Roman. And while I say this is my least favorite of the three, I still enjoyed it! Service was as friendly as the others, dining feels upscale but doesn't break the bank. I LOVED the chicken parm pizza. We were worried when it came out that we misunderstood and it was pizza with chicken parm on it... NO they got the cutlets THAT FLAT I think about it often, but not much else which is why it's lower for me then the other two.

Delicious every single time. Idk how I haven't reviews it before. We had to wait about 30 min for our table which was unusual... usually we are sat immediately. This delay let me encounter the bartender however who was SO good. He didn't have specifically the drink I asked for, but made me something he thought I would like and nailed it. My whole party had delicious drinks served quickly, efficiently and fairly priced for nyc. He managed the bar expertly while we waited and navigated a lot of people waiting to eat dinner really well. (Great first impression for this visit to QI). Once sat our servers immediately greeted us with apologies for delay on reservation, fresh bread (their classic four Parker house style rolls with garlic butter). We had more cocktails and a bottle of the Quality Red wine within minutes and they reviewed the specials and some selections with us. We started with the Cesar salad without lemon rinds (they grind fresh lemon rinds on top normally, which is fresh and bright but not what we wanted that evening) and some of the whipped ricotta. That whipped ricotta is never necessary but SO so good and never a regret. From there we shared the chicken parm pizza, pesto malfadine pasta and fries. In between our servers brought us complimentary meatballs that were served in fresh red sauce with cheese on top. Delicious. Get them. The chicken parm pizza is always a show stopper, for those who don't know it's literally a giant pizza shaped chicken parm, not actually a pizza. This was our best yet; hot, crispy and perfect sauce/cheese ratio. We had a gorgeous corner half moon booth overlooking the back dining room. It was nice and dim and moody inside and the restaurant was lively but not loud. Overall always such a delicious meal and one of these days we will try some new things.

I had the most incredible dinner with my girlfriends on Friday at Quality Italian! Because we had 7 people we made a reservation a few weeks in advance, and I'm glad we did because it was PACKED. We sat upstairs in their gorgeous dining room and everything we ate was absolutely amazing. My favorite dishes of the night were the chicken parm pizza, the pesto pasta and the sticky toffee! They also had an incredible espresso martini that I highly recommend!

While visiting NY I hit up this place. It is pretty big. The staff was attentive. The chicken parm pizza with the hot honey was delicious. Meatballs were good. This is a place i would try and come back to be able to try a few items on the menu. More people the better. Place was low lit dim depending on where you sit. They do have a bar area as well.

Spicy Lobster Rigatoni Alla Vodka made at the table. Delicious!!

This restaurant deserves every single star -- and here's why. I flew into town to celebrate my mother-in-love's 94th birthday, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was memorable. She and her friend were able to use the elevator, which made things much easier. Check-in was smooth, and although our initial table was in a high-traffic area, I had written a note in the reservation requesting something more special. The team graciously let us wait at the bar (where we enjoyed a glass of prosecco), then seated us at a beautiful window table with a HB note to her. The service was excellent -- fast, kind, and attentive. Our servers were informative and even switched to Spanish when needed, which my guests deeply appreciated. The food was outstanding. The lobster appetizer was phenomenal, the fish filet and the lobster with spicy pasta served table side, was absolutely unforgettable. On top of that, they surprised us with complimentary dishes and birthday cake, a gesture that truly showed how much they care about their patrons. Most importantly, they made my mother-in-love feel celebrated and special on her milestone day. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare, and we were touched by it. We'll absolutely be back -- and I can't wait to try everything else on the menu!

Similar to what the person asked below, if you order the chicken parm pizza with 3 people would they charge per person $34? Or would they just charge for 2 people $68? The third person will most likely order an app or some sides instead.

They only charge for 2 people and it's enough for 3 or 4 people. Very filling

What is he dress code?

Casual dress.. we wore jeans, nice shirt, dress. Nothing fancy. Probably feel under dressed in T-shirt and shorts.

How brunch Chicken parm pizza different than regular parm pizza ? Can we order regular Chicken parm Pizza on Sunday for brunch?

No. You cannot order during brunch

Do they serve Chicken Parm Pizza on Sunday for brunch?

Yes, there is a brunch version of the QI Chicken Parm pizza, served for 2 people for $34 pp.

Are they open for lunch?

Yes they are :)

Just reading not good for kids. I have a 10 and 14 year old who're wonderfully behaved. Anyone?

I think this is a great place for kids. Great service and big menu. I would say they will love it.

So the chicken parm is $34 per person? So for two of us we would order one pizza and it would be 68 total? Is it worth that much money?

The most recent time I went with a group, they charged a flat $68 for 5 of us to share it. It may be a little hard to swallow the cost for two, but I would still recommend it at least one to try. In a group, the pizza makes a great appetizer and I… Read more

Particularly the penne funghi is to die for. Tried the linguine vongole clam pasta for the first time and was pretty good as well! Just wish there was more sauce and the clams were the tiniest size I've seen which was disappointing and to make matters worse, a good 1/3 of them were empty. Besides that, the meal was delightful and still great value as it was delicious with huge portions! Love! However, service at this particular branch is nowhere near as good as other branches. I understand it's busy and it's always incredibly crowded with people and cramped seating and loud music/voices but this was like no other. When I arrived party of 2, they had nearly 5 tables empty and yet we couldn't sit at any of them because the had to wait for reservations to see if they arrived and we had to wait 15 min but they said they'd let us know. We were forced to sit at the bar which the giant metal can of alcohol bottles took up 1/2 my seating/dining area and no one bothered to move it or ask if that was okay because obviously it wasn't but the didn't care. We waited awhile for the food to come and during that time we asked if there really wasn't any table availability since tables clearly open and the denied again even though reservations never came. Literally 3 tables remains consistently empty throughout our entire dining experience confined to the cramped bar area. They even closed the door, separating the outdoor diners which was weird and it became insufferably hot inside, even on a cold windy day. Bathroom situation here is also terrible as it is downstairs with steep narrow stairs and me and other customers almost bumped into each other and staff carrying multitude of food dishes and dirty dishes up and down the stairs. Never have I ever had such an undelightful experience going to bathroom at a restaurant. Additionally, sink water pressure either had no water coming out or a giant spray of water making it impossible to wash hands without getting a whole shower. This location really needs work. Only reason why I'm not giving it five stars is because I love Fumo as a whole. Just skip this location.

Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage.
