The food was just as impressive. The Brussels sprouts with the honey vinaigrette were absolutely unreal sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced. How do you rate a restaurant where the food is really good, the service is wonderful but the power hungry hostess is beyond your tolerance. The Open table reservation system I'm sure shows past attendance (once before) , tipping behavior (always above 25%), whether you are local (20+ years of NYC reservations) and yet when you request a corner 3 top in the back room where you are seated and there are a slew of empty tables including 3 sets of other 3 tops empty, you are told "sorry, we have a reservation for that table". Well here is the table both at the start of our meal and when we left and it remained empty throughout our meal. Would I return? Maybe. The food carries the restaurant for now, the servers are wonderful and attentive, but I'm getting more and more tired of the haughty hostesses who gatekeep. read more

This is a very long overdue review. My friends and I came in May for my late birthday celebration. I saw this place on TikTok and fell in love. I'm a fan of La Pecora Bianca so I was looking forward to trying their new restaurant. I can say the food at Giulietta is even better! We had a 4 pm reservation, which was smart because it got busy quickly. Service was super efficient and professional. Very cutesy inside. I had the Riviera Spritz, which was refreshing. My friends had Shirley Temples. We kicked things off with garlic bread and a truffle pizza. Both were so rich and a carb lovers dream. I ordered rigatoni alla vodka with buratta which was so so good. My friends loved the lemon pasta with shrimp. Dessert was phenomenal. We had a baci sundae and tableside chocolate mousse. 10000/10! I'm writing this review about my experience last night for takeout. I ordered the chicken Milanese with a margarita pizza and the pasta with the pesto and mushroom and I was very disappointed. When I received my food in the bag to go, they forgot to give me my chicken !!!!!!!!!!! So I went all the way home after the restaurant already closed. A new spot opened near my job, so I had to try it. We made a 5PM reservation and it was surprisingly quiet. The space itself is really cute, very clean aesthetic and well put together. Everything we tried: Fritto misto - fried calamari, shrimp, and broccoli. This was overly salty! Tuna tartare - just OK. The grapefruit didn't pair well, the flavors felt off. Diavola pizza - decent, but nothing memorable. The hot honey was a miss, I'd skip this. Campanelle al limone - easily the standout. Perfect al dente pasta with a strong lemon flavor. Yum! Baci sundae - really good and a great way to end the meal. Comes with chocolate and caramel sauce you pour yourself, which made it a bit more fun. Definitely don't skip dessert. What bothered me most was the service toward the end. The manager rushed us and dropped the bill while we were still eating dessert, even though another table that arrived before us was still there after we left. Decent food similar to its sister restaurant, La Pecora Bianca, but front-of-house management really needs work. We had a reservation and still waited 30+ minutes due to overbooking. Once seated, our waitstaff was very kind and skilled, but the host stand was a different story. The hosts seemed overworked and undertrained, mostly staring in silence when asked simple questions rather than communicating. Place is literally one of the best Italian spots I have ever had. To start off simple, ambiance is beautiful, the place looks like the south of Italy, if you ever been to the arienzo beach club the design is very similar an there is a nice orange tree on the inside. Food is absolutely incredible, the garlic bread with cheese and lemon sauce is amazing, one of the best garlic breads I ever had! Pizza is as bomb, the Diavolo had the perfect blend of sweetness and spicy, I had been on the hunt for a carbonara close to one I had in Rome and this place came very close to it, ( nothing beats Italy ) quality of the food is amazing. The dessert was to die for, the table side chocolate moose and ice cream is just the perfect way to top off a wonderful night! We started with the ricotta toast which was phenomenal and a great shareable app. We also got the Saint Tropez spritz which was super refreshing and not too sweet. Pros: Awesome tasting food, great coffee too. Cute style and design. Service is quick, but a bit too much. Besides high prices, $$$ rated in my book (Filet Mignon entree is $64, excluding sides). Another small nitpick (and main reason I reduced a star) is the bathrooms could be Much, Much improved for such expensive place. The toilet seat paper covers were missing, as well as paper towels to dry the hands. I consider such amenities as absolutely basic in civilized public bathrooms. read more

I was very excited to try Giulietta since I'm a big fan of La Pecora Bianca. The space itself is stunning, think summer in the Amalfi coast vibes. It's large but still feels comfortable and not overly loud, which makes for a really pleasant dining atmosphere. The staff was absolutely incredible. Everyone was kind, helpful, and very attentive throughout the meal. The food was great, but I will say I was a little disappointed to find that the menu is essentially the same as La Pecora Bianca, just with a few additional options. While that may be great for some people, it was a bit of a letdown for me. I was hoping the concept would feel more distinct. It's one thing to have a few shared signature dishes, but this felt like almost the same menu with just 2-3 extra items. That said, the food itself is really good and I'll probably be back, it just felt like a bit of a missed opportunity to innovate and create something more differentiated. One thing I absolutely recommend: get the affogato espresso martini. That's all I'll say. read more

We all ordered the same cucumber drink which was the Saint Tropez Spritz fresh cucumber, gin, st. germain, prosecco It was very good. My friend had a mocktail that looked exactly like ours too. For food we ordered the whipped ricotta toast with truffle honey which was delicious, the meatballs which were good the green beans and fried calamari. These two i cant talk about as I have food allergies to these things. For main dishes half of us got the rigatoni with vodka sauce, stracciatella and half of us got the Campanelle al Limone roasted shrimp, chili flakes, parmesan. We did have a little mishap, I had a glass of water spilled on me by accident and my friends drink also got spilled too. Mistakes happen especially if a place just opened up. The manager ( I think it was the manager) came over to me and apologized many times and he even gave me his contact info incase I needed my coat to be dry cleaned they would take care of it which I thought was very generous of them. And also after we paid on the app from the QR code we had to scan we had the option of getting a free Lyft ride which I had never seen before! I will be back. read more

We ordered a few apps to share including the Giulietta Garlic Bread, Cacio e Pepe Arancini, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Fried Artichokes, all of which were delicious. For mains, we had the Rigatoni with burrata, the Pomodorini Pizza, and the Campanelle al Limone. Every dish was so good and I would highly recommend all of them. 3.5/5 but rounding to a 4/5. Had high expectations which were partially met. The inside of this restaurant is gorgeous and our waitress was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our meal was paced well and we didn't feel rushed, but we had to ask for more water a couple of times. I got a great dirty martini to drink, and then we split the tuna tartare, eggplant parm, and garlic bread. The tuna tartare was excellent and the tuna was very fresh. Eggplant parm was tasty but nothing outstanding. The garlic bread I was really excited about and was hyped up by our waitress, and it was yummy (garlic + focaccia + cheese, duh) but it wasn't served hot. I was hoping for a nice cheese pull but unfortunately that didn't happen because it was pretty lukewarm. For entree I got the shrimp limone which, again, was tasty but not served hot. There was a decent amount of shrimp and the pasta is homemade with a nice chew. The sauce was lemony but there really wasn't much of it- in fact, I found it pretty dry. I like my pastas saucy and I love a lemon sauce so this was also disappointing. For dessert we got the lemon merengue tart which was divine, but there was almost a little too much merengue. Overall, food was good, but could use a little tweaking on execution. I'd be willing to come back and try more things on the menu because it's quite extensive and has a lot of items that look good. read more

We tried a Pizza and some Pasta. The Salsiccia Pizza was a bit heavy, and the dough a bit floppy. The Orecchiete Pasta was a bit heavy as well. Linguine with Clams was pretty good.
