Came here for dinner on a weekday during NYC Restaurant Week. The place was exactly what we were looking for... Elegant and romantic atmosphere! The place was a little, but the service was amazing, and the food was delicious! The food was fresh and came out fast. I had Passata di Verdure as an appetizer, Fusilli al Ferretto for my entrée, and Mango and Raspberry sorbets for dessert. Everything was tasty and flavorful, and all of my dishes were gluten free, dairy free and soy free. The portions were generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Others had something else I had no interest in to remember the name. Their menu has many options to offer, including gluten free, soy free, and dairy free options, which is a great plus for people with dietary restrictions or allergies. We would come back again. While we were in NYC, we had lunch at Felice 56. It was our first visit, and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. As of May 2026, this is now one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city! Ambiance, service and food were all incredible. Upon entering, the main dining room is downstairs, and I had no idea how huge and beautiful it would be! The decor is awesome and I love the huge wall art and mirrors. The servers were also all nice and the food came out pretty quickly with each course although dessert took longer. I loved the arancini, calamari, pistachio gelato, and my fusilli entree. I also had non alcoholic red wine for the first time, which was pretty good! I would absolutely recommend coming here. read more

Nice atmosphere. Tables are not too close. Interesting lobby area and descent to a lovely dining area. Good wine list - on the high end but options for moderate wines also. We started with the buratta and it was great. The skin was firm and the inside soft but not runny. The cherry tomatoes were perfectly blistered and the acidity worked well with the cheese. Olive oil was great accompaniment and the crispy bread was the right dipping implement. The entree was the special. Linguine à la vongole. Nice dish with delicious sauce. The last was a little too Al dente but was ok for me. The clams were interspersed plus in shell. Good taste and some nice herbs. The Parmesan was not offered so I asked for it and it was needed. We celebrated a birthday at Felice 56 and found the restaurant be just the perfect setting. The ambience is gentle and relaxing, allowing for a nice conversation and a lot of smiles. The food was OK, nothing that I would crave on repeat. We thought that the chicken patty was just that a big chicken patty with a lump of lettuce on it. It would've been nice if it came with a side of pasta. And we felt that in general, the dishes needed a little more depth and flavor. That's not to say they were horrible. They were passable. The restaurant gifted us a tiramisu dessert for our celebration and that dessert was amazing. 10 out of 10. The service was very attentive and good, they were not overbearing, but they were there when we needed them. I would recommend for a celebratory occasion, however, it is not a restaurant that I would frequent a regular basis. read more

Visited Felice 56 for dinner during a day trip to NYC in the fall. We didn't make reservations, but were easily seated, especially considering we stopped in on the earlier side (~5:30PM). The restaurant is quite large, which I was surprised by. The dining room has a nice slightly moody ambience that fits for an Italian restaurant. Our server was very attentive and helpful in expediting our check when we had to leave to catch a train. Their menu is extensive, again mostly Italian fare. I was drawn to Felice 56 for their wide variety of NA cocktails, which is always much appreciated. We both enjoyed their seasonal NA spritz, which was refreshing and delightful - I particularly loved the basil leaf, which was unexpected but fit. You would never know it was sans alcohol! For food, my friend and I split all our dishes. We started with the bruschetta and a salad. It was early fall, so the bruschetta was still so fresh and seasonal with juicy and flavorful tomatoes. I enjoyed the inclusion of the crunchy almonds and sweet raisins in our salad, adding extra flavors to the crisp brussels. We then split the gnocchi with pesto; I loved the burrata topping this dish to elevate it a touch. This was a solid pasta dish, and the 1/2 portion was just right. We didn't have time for dessert, but their menu was intriguing! The prices were reasonable for NYC and considering the quantity and quality. We both enjoyed our meal at Felice 56, and I would certainly revisit to try more menu items and especially their desserts and more NA cocktails! read more

This location is absolutely beautiful. The dining room truly feels like an experience. In comparison with the 71st st location, both the service and vibe is far superior to the 71st st location. This location has white tablecloths, plenty of room, more attentive staff and better service all around. I honestly don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars. The pasta is fresh and never disappoints. I ordered the fusilli which was incredible. You can just taste how fresh the pasta is. We also received an "on the house" gelato dish because we had reserved to celebrate a graduation! It was delicious! Will be back! read more

I previewed the menu before going and was going to have a chicken dish but opted for the steak and potatoes which was cooked EXACTLY as I asked them to 10/10. The companions had two different items and appetizer. We had a reservation and was seated immediately. The waiter introduced himself shortly after being seated and presented us with a drink menu. Service 10/10. We were dinning downstairs their overflow is actual ground level which I found strange. I do not know if you can get seating on ground level just on standard. A pretty good restaurant but nothing special for New York! The food was decent. I don't eat calamari but the folks I was with LOVED it. The pasta was nothing to call home about. The service was great and fast. We were seated immediately with a reservation which isn't common in New York. The restaurant definitely gives a fancier vibe. Felice 56 amazed me on my first visit! I can say it's definitely one of the top Italian restaurants in New York from my experience. I dined with a friend visiting from out of town and it is the perfect place to bring visitors, family, friends, dates. The ambiance is incredibly warm and inviting, with a spacious main dining room framed by a wall mural spanning the entire back wall. I had the carbonara which was delicious and my friend had the lasagne, which she loved. The food felt like comfort food served in an upscale setting, which I personally prefer over fine dining any day. For dessert, the pistachio cake with pistachio ice cream was divine. If you are a pistachio lover, this is a must! The service was perfect. When we asked for a photo after our meal, one of the servers even went the extra mile to tell us where the best photo spot in the restaurant is and had us stand there for the photo. I ordered the Ravioli della Cassa ($27-house made spinach and ricotta ravioli, butter and sage sauce, grated Parmigiano-Reggiano) and my friend ordered the Linguine Frutti di Mare ($34-Mancini pasta, spicy San Marzano tomato, squid, bay scallops, red Argentinian shrimp, P.E.I. mussels) - she also ordered the asparagus but halfway into eating the pasta we realized that they never brought this. Felice 56 has became a favorite of mine whenever I visit NYC. It's in a great location and I've never had a bad meal. Highly recommend getting the Fettuccini Bolognese. I debate trying something new and end up getting the same thing every time - it's so good. Also, we asked for a family style dessert and they brought out the family gelato order. It was excellent! Three of us went on a whim. It's a very nicely appointed restaurant that is classy but didn't feel stuffy. People were mostly dressed a little nicer but there were plenty of T-shirts so it didn't feel stuffy. The service was impeccable. They were very attentive and right on spot the whole time. The only complaint we have I that the drink service was slow. But for how amazingly delicious the food was we agreed we'd give them a pass. It was soooo good! Seriously it was so good we were surprised. We started with the arancini and ricotta which was beyond surprising for how good it was. Then we had the ravioli, fusilli, and carbonara. We were here for restaurant week so we were able to get an appetizer, entree and dessert for $60. Weekday night but still had to wait for about 15-20 mins (no reservation). Good service, nothing specific to note. The cacio e pepe and the fried chicken were amazing! For desserts, the tiramisu classic also blew us away. read more

A friend organized a meal for 7 of us here (a reunion of sorts). They sat us downstairs in the wine room, which was actually perfect b/c we were all telling stories, drinking laughing and we were the only people in the downstairs. If you have a large party of up to 12 maybe - this is a great option and ask for the table in the wine room downstairs. They didn't rush us. We split a few appetizers (the zeppole prosciutto and the arancini). They were fine, but my entree of a chicken milanese with a salad on top. This was an EXCELLENT cutlet -- thin, crispy (crispy!) and tender. SO good. I had some of my husband's pasta too - A parpadelle with mushrooms, endive, sausage and truffle. Also very good -- and both were good portions. The food was really good, but the 5th star was for accommodating and letting us be loud and slow with our meal! Met a former colleague for NYC restaurant week at Felice 56 for $30 lunch. The restaurant was at the lower level of a hotel, very charming and cozy. The staff were very nice and friendly. I had eggplant parmigiana to start and the pappardelle salsiccia. It was sooo delicious! My friend's arancini were nice and crispy and pollo, radicchio e Pomodoro was beautifully constructed. Felice 56 was the perfect location for our meal. The restaurant has a gorgeous interior, beautiful lounge area, and a very friendly/hospitable staff. Both of our drinks were amazing. The Espresso Martini was smooth, the espresso flavor was not overpowering, and had a smooth texture. The Spicy Margarita was incredible. The spiciness pleasantly worked its way down your throat and each successive sip made this drink better and better. We started by sharing the Arancini (rice balls, tomato, mozzarella, oregano, and tartar sauce). Each ball had the slightest bit of crunch and the flavor was so good. A well recommended appetizer. Our entrees were incredible. The Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe was a pasta that we've never tasted before. The Cacio ("Cacio" is the Italian word for cheese, typically referring to pecorino romano, a hard sheep's milk cheese with a sharp, salty flavor) had an delectable texture and the cheese elevated this dish to another level. The Ravioli Della Casa (housemade spinach and ricotta ravioli, butter & saga sauce, grated Parmiggano-Reggiano) was so soft, creamy, and flavorful. Felice's food is mostly good in essentially every location, but I've never had smaller portion sizes for the price at an Italian restaurant in NYC. As an example, you pay $28 for carbonara and it's like 16 pieces of penne. The price to quantity ratio just isn't worth it. Good food quality like I said, but there are a ton of good food quality Italian restaurants in Manhattan. Better off going to one of those unless a Felice happens to be incredibly convenient to your plans for the evening. read more

This was such a wonderful experience. We had to be in the area to pick up a watch. My daughter googled Italian restaurants and Felice popped up. I am so glad we gave it a try. The restaurant is modern with simple clean lines but warm atmosphere. We ordered burrata with prosciutto, calamari and bruschetta. Outstanding! My husband ordered pasta with muscles, my daughter ordered pasta with bolognese and I opted in for a burger. Food was unbelievable. We did order dessert which also didn't disappoint, tiramisu, crème brûlée and cheesecake. Everything was perfect and all the food was beautifully plated. I will definitely return. This was the best meal I had in New York on this particular trip. For lunch, we started (and shared) and order of arancino. Tasty and well prepared. While I generally don't mention bread, it was worth noting as extremely fresh. I'm guessing it was baked in house. However, for me, the winner was the branzino. It was baked with a variety of vegetables and capers. It was delicately seasoned with some lemon. Paired with a sauvignon blanc it was a great lunch option. Service was very good at this price point and the server knowledgeable. Also, I really enjoyed the vibe of the dining room. While it was downstairs, the extremely high ceilings and well decorated space made it a very please setting. Also, it was very busy with what appeared working professionals in the neighborhood. We were a group of three and my share was about $75 including tax and tip. This was a good value especially considering the location. read more

This is a tough one but irrespective I'm not sure why they have an average of 4 1/2 ENTRANCE - when you walk in there is a breakfast barrista to your right. Looking a little odd the counter server assumed we were for the restaurant and directed us down the stairs to the dining area. It should be noted that this establishment is connected to a hotel similar to Chazz Palmentari and the Cambria for those familiar HOSTESS - when we arrived downstairs the young hostess was quite pleasant inquired about our reservation and promptly seated us. She also took the extra step of finding out if we wanted tap water but we asked for Aqua Panna which they had and brought to the table AMBIANCE - the decor was quite romantic with elegant tables albeit maybe 35 max. I should note that they also have outside dining structures for additional seating The tables had floral decorations that were real NOT PLASTIC however, they were at least 3 days old if not more BREAD - they provided a bread plate with their own branded EV olive oil, which was actually very good. It had a peppery flavor that was nice. Unfortunately the bread was slightly oxidized I.e. stale. VINO - I tried the house Cabernet from a limited menu of glass offerings (all Italian Tuscany offerings). There were more full bottle options again pretty exclusively Italian vintages The wine I tried was dry and a bit fruity but had a strong alcohol kick after swallowing. However for house it was better than most MENU - my first caveat is that it was a Sunday so there were no specials. The core menu was not extensive but covered enough to satisfy. Please note they cater to Gluten Free in many ways so if you have this dietary restriction you'll be good APPETIZERS - I trekked the PEI mussels which were exceptional. The pomodero sauce was unique and flavorful and slightly on the spicy side but not over the top. Definitely try the meatballs as I was told they were very good. You get 5 small ones in a tasty sauce and there is no flour filling so great for those gluten Free ENTREES - I tried the spaghetti carbonara that was lacking. While the cream sauce was unexpectedly good. By that not super thick and viscous like some. The dish needed peas or fresh herbs for a solid finish. Wife's pasta was also not great (I was told) but passable as the red sauce was good. SIDE DISHES - we tried the broccoli rappini that was prepared differently. I like the idea of shaved parmagiani cheese on top. A nice touch. Please note that the broccoli was excellent in that there was no bitterness at all. The down side is it was undercooked SERVICE - not what I'm used to but the waiter was super pleasant when he was available. In addition dishes coming out of the kitchen were super slow by any standard. Also the kitchen missed our side order so that might be the reason it was late and undercooked DESSERT - we didn't indulge so you'll have to fill in the gap PRICE - this is not for the thin wallet. For 2 people a couple of vinos, tax, and a 20% tip, the damage was $205 read more

We went to Felice 56 last year on the recommendation of a local friend and wow, what a colossal disappointment. I am writing a review now because I am returning to New York soon and knew I wanted to avoid this place at all costs. We arrived for an early dinner after a day of sight seeing and had high expectations as our friend raved about this place. Since it was so early the place was practically empty. You'd think that would mean great service. Wrong. Our waiter acted like we were ruining his evening simply by existing. Rude, inattentive, and visibly annoyed any time he came over to us. I watched in disbelief as the tables around us got smiles, refills, and attentive service while we were treated like a nuisance. The food was pathetic for the price point and I would have rather have gone to Olive Garden since at least you can experience better service there and they give you BREAD. We've made better pasta at home and we're not even Italian. By the end of the meal we couldn't wait to leave. Between the laughable service and uninspired food, this place is a joke. If you value good food, good service, or even basic human decency, skip Felice 56. NYC has too many amazing spots to waste a night and your money here. read more
