Ok so the reason I keep reviewing is because I love the hotel so I'm there often. Here's the deal, if it isn't super crowded, it's awesome. If you're fighting for bar space with finance bros and big crowds it's frustrating. The food is always good, the cocktails if you get one of the prime bartenders.

A romantic vibey cocktail lounge in the first floor of the Evelyn Hotel in Nomad with some of the most well balanced and inventive clarified cocktails I've had in New York. The tall ceilings, dim lighting, and dark banquettes add to the extravagant yet clandestine atmosphere. The server was super helpful in steering our cocktail choices based on our palette preferences. The Pastel Sour was a fragrant and airy take on a pisco sour with refreshing hints of jasmine and bergamot. The spirit forward Open Sesame deftly layered Sherry oak Macallan with nutty Oloroso wine. The divine Goldie was the most delicious cocktail I've had to date, featuring sweet aromatic pandan with hints of toasted coconut over a tequila infused green tea base. Truly an eclectically crafted cocktail menu.

Stopped by The Tusk Bar before dinner nearby and had a lovely time at the bar. It is a beautiful space with deep, earthy tones, a gorgeous marble bar, and cozy, intimate seating throughout. The hostess and maître d were so friendly and accommodating in getting us a few seats at the bar. We ordered the Pastel Sour, Hail Caesar, and the Open Sesame, which were all delicious. The Pastel Sour was smooth, silky, and light; the Hail Caesar strong and a bit tart; and the Open Sesame nutty and warm. Overall, it was a great spot to catch a drink in an elevated, sophisticated atmosphere with a very picturesque bar lounge. I'll definitely be back!

Great date or business drink spot. Brass upstairs is also excellent. Service was very good and the drinks are well crafted. The restaurant upstairs was excellent also.

Perfect place to catch up with a friend over some really good drinks, or go on a date. It feels like an intimate space despite being so large, and is dimly lit with really chic modern interior. Had a few drinks here and really enjoyed both cocktails - the waitress was really helpful in making recommendations based on certain preferences since it's not a small menu, so there's a lot to choose from. One of the rare places where you could go and just have a drink and chill, without it being too noisy, rowdy, busy, etc. Really hope it stays and will definitely be wanting to come back. I'm keeping this in my pocket for a good date spot or post-dinner drinks. The space offers tables, bar seating as well as couch seating. There's also a food menu, which I would be curious to try.

Food was amazing! Service at the bar was 7/10, they were a little behind. But the ambiance was top tier!

My friends and I went here on Saturday night and had managed to snag a same day reservation for the bar. The bar and restaurant are inside of the Evelyn hotel and are lovely dimly lit, sexy spaces. We were seated right away in very comfortable plush seats and our waitress walked us through the menu. The bar menu is quite extensive with innovative cocktails, wines and spirits. They also have a smaller food menu, but have a lot of variety which is nice. For drinks we ordered the ruby slipper, the second arrival and unfortunately a drink that I can't find on the online menu. We all loved our drinks though, as they were delicious and crafted with perfection. As for food, we were all hungry, so we ordered a number of things off the menu. We ordered the snapper tartare, the house foccacia, the cheese plate, the tomato salad, the grilled mushroom tartine, the fried stuffed olives and the chickpea fritters. We all loved the dishes, with our favorites being the salad, the bread and the chickpea fritters. I would absolutely come back here again as it's a perfect spot for a date or to have a relaxing night out with some friends.

Jacob has given the greatest bartending experiences I've ever had. The ease and mastery he has with the craft is truly remarkable. I've had the pleasure going to Tusk Bar since the beginning of its founding, and it ranks at top my list not only because of Jacob's service, but also the classy upscale yet comfortable ambiance the bar brings. I recommend this bar to all that look for best bartender experience NYC can offer with also the high-end luxury

The Tusk Bar is the lobby bar in the Evelyn Hotel. The room is dark and sexy. A great spot for dates whether the first or 500th. The cocktails are terrific as is the service. The food is just ok and should really be viewed as snacks to accompany the drinks. So pro tip -- go for drinks and head elsewhere for dinner.

TLDR: posh space with solid drinks, and attentive service. Came in on a Friday night. Loved the warm, lower lighting, high ceilines, and the intimate vibe. One of the first things I noticed was the ostrich on the wall LOL We were supposed to be a group of three, but we unexpectedly grew to a group of six and they were super accommodating! As a large group, we got to try several of the drinks on the current menu. These were my favorites: Community Garden - Gin and chartreuse drink with watermelon, aloe, and preserved lemon. It was refreshing and easy to drink. I hope they keep this on the menu for a while. Upon Arrival - Gin and St. German highball with shiso and yuzu that my friends got multiple times because it was super crushable. Ruby slipper - A yogurt washed gin, grapefruit, cucumber (and other things I'm forgetting) drink that I found quite nice as well. For food, we just got olives to pick at while we were drinking. They were obviously of quality, but I'll have to return and try more items. From the looks on other people's faces while they were eating around us, food seemed pretty good! Overall: I'm gonna return to try more drinks and food to update my review, but for now, I can easily see myself frequent this place. Its on my list for "places to take people who like upscale things."

Came here for a drink and it was nice! The decor is fun and it was lively on a weeknight. Had a reservation but our table wasn't ready so the hostess got us seats at the bar and we ended up staying there. I had the ocean martini - it was good but not as unique as I thought it would be. The service was good and everyone was nice, so it's fun for the vibe but I don't think I'd go back for the drinks alone.

It's inside a hotel. The decor is beautiful. We were able to immediately sit at the bar on a Friday night. The cocktails were good, and we tried the pavlova dessert. It was nice to share with two people since it was sweet.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.
