I was really impressed by the service here! Our server was so sweet, and she noticed that my husband and I had switched entrées, so she came over to ask if everything was okay and if I was sure that I wanted to keep the pasta. I ended up keeping the pasta, but then she ended up giving us a complementary almond gelato, which was just so kind of her and not necessary. When you enter, the entrance is really nice, and you have to go up to the second level, so you can either take the stairs or the elevator. The restaurant itself is pretty large, and it has a nice view of the Empire State building as well. We ordered: - Caramelized Onion Torta (5/5) this was our favorite dish! We've never had anything like it. - Insalata Verde (5/5) this balanced out the torta very well, and it was very refreshing and light. - Rigatoni Alla Gricia (4/5) I got this because it was recommended by a lot of people, but I think at the end of the day I am a tomato sauce girlie, because this sauce was very heavy and very creamy. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it was just a lot to try to eat in one sitting. - Orecchiette (5/5) I really liked this dish, as well as the little bit of heat! - Pistachio Gelato (4/5) I liked the texture of the gelato, but I couldn't really taste the flavor of the pistachio at all. Maybe it's because the almond gelato was just much stronger in terms of the flavor. - Negroni (5/5) so good!

I had lunch here and ordered the Smoked Carrots and the Tuna Tonnato. It is not what I expected. Far better than I thought because I saw what the people next to me ordered. Excellent! Located on the 2nd floor of the Manhattan Esplinade in Hudson Yards. And then another elevator to go up a floor. Both had some creamy base under the dish. And both were delicately seasoned and flavorful. Definitely a foodie's choice. I also ordered the Lemon meringue which I usually love. Their Lemon meringue is a surprise which came in such smooth cream served with a torched meringue with lots of olive oil. I think 2 people could have had it.

I'll go as far as saying Ci Siamo is my favorite Italian spot in NYC after Misi Ci Siamo was named the #1 restaurant in the U.S. by Yelp in 2026, and EVERY SINGLE DISH HIT! I saw fellow Yelper friends Lailah J and Stacy K's great reviews so I decided to give them a try. You HAVE to get the caramelized onion torta, and you really can't go wrong with any of their pasta. The vibe is upscale but still cozy, with enough space between tables so it doesn't feel packed. It's not that difficult to get a res if you book early. *Caramelized Onion Torta $27 ** Their signature torta absolutely slaps. One of the best bites I've ever put into my mouth. Rich, creamy, and cheesy, almost like a French onion soup in pie form. It's definitely indulgent, so I'd recommend sharing. *Marinated Broccoli $18 * Didn't expect to fall in love with a veggie dish, but here we are. The broccoli was packed with flavor and finished with smoked chili and crunchy breadcrumbs. *Rapini Agnolotti $29 ** Stuffed with ricotta just how I liked it. The bright citrusy note from the lemon really lifted the dish and balanced everything well. *Rigatoni Alla Gricia $30 ** Super satisfying. The guanciale was crispy and savory, and the rigatoni held onto the creamy sauce well. *Olive Oil Poached Orata $38 Since they're known for their handmade pasta, the entree didn't quite wow me. The fish had a few small bones, which threw me off a little. *Lemon Torta $18 The olive oil meringue was fluffy and light, pairing with the tangy lemon tart. It didn't leave a strong impression though. *Torta Calabrese $18 ** I'm usually not a chocolate dessert person, but I actually preferred this over the lemon torta. The combo of espresso gelato and rich dark chocolate cake was a match made in heaven. I loved the slight bitterness in it.

Tasty tasty meal here! We snagged a reservation and it was worth it. To start, we got the beans, onion torta, and green salad. The onion torta was a little too rich and sweet for my liking. I loved the beans (seemed like something I can try to copy at home!) and the green salad had a delicious pesto. To eat, we all got the crab cavatelli. The portion is HUGE and the pasta has a meaty flavor with a solid amount of crab. I didnt love how small the pasta was but it made the fish feel soupier. We had a fabulous lemon tart for dessert. Our server was very kind and it was so packed for it being Easter Sunday!

The onion torta is indeed amazing. We also got the focaccia which is very airy, along with the mortadella. I got the stuffed trout which was very good and almost completely deboned. This is a good portion compared to their other dishes. We had the lemon torta and the Gelatos for dessert, and both were great. I had the industry standard and the tonio for drinks, and appreciated both.

Ci Siamo was decadent. Service, decor, food and cocktails are all show-stoppers. It's definitely not surprising how popular of a place this is. What I tried: + Negroni. Smooth, flavorful and the perfect cocktail to enjoy with some small plates + Crunchy ravioli. This is an oversized ravioli filled with cacio e pepe goodness and topped with lots of shaved parm. An order comes with two and you can add on a third a la carte. This is a must-order. + Onion tarte. This is incredibly rich and is basically like French onion soup on top of bread. Worth trying, but just note that it's heavy. + Pastas! The rigatoni was my favorite and this was basically just like cacio e pepe. That's another must-order. The beef pappardelle was just okay and probably would not order again. Portions of both pastas are extremely generous. + Veggie sides! Broccoli was perfection - I always like broccoli with my pasta. Carrots were great but just note that they are pretty rich for a veggie side since they come topped with lots of herbs, capers and cheese. Dinner was fabulous and I can't wait to return.

Came here for Easter/bday celebration with a group of 6, which allowed us to taste virtually everything on the menu! Amazing atmosphere, chic yet warm AND across from Moynihan so we left 15 minutes before our train left! The service was impeccable, and the food was all so tasty. Highlights were the onion tart and pretty much every single pasta. With a shrimp pasta where we asked for the shrimp on the side to accommodate our vegetarian, they gave us the dish with a half dish just for him with no shrimp! So thoughtful. Highly recommend, especially if you need to take a train.

    Braised Beans

Went to Ci Siamo after scouring Reddit reviews! This whole meal was fantastic, but the BRAISED BEANS. Holy cow. The write-up in the New York Times was wholly deserved and completely lived up to the hype. Our waitress, Rebecca, was so sweet and helpful. She guided us through the menu and kindly offered my sister a whole bowl of olives for her dirty martini to get it just right. She even gave us some great recommendations for our trip! Cool space on second floor, despite being situated in a plaza, and the staff works hard to give everyone a great experience from the moment you walk in. The pastas were so fresh and flavorful, and I will never look at beans the same, knowing they can taste that good.

I had read about this restaurant in the Top 100 Yelp restaurant list, so I made a reservation and was very excited to try it out. The elevator to the dining room was cute, it had a nice bottle of wine and table inside it, giving it a charm and coziness that was unexpected. We got seated right away (right at our reservation time slot) and our server was very nice and professional. I got a glass of Prossecco and my husband got a zero proof beer. Both very good. We started the meal with the braised beans app and it was very good...a bit salty, but that was expected. I got the whole trout entree and it was nicely cooked with vegetables and herb stuffing. The dish was filling and large. My husband got the skit steak and it was very savory, but the flavors of either dish were not WOW. They were just average. The dining room was very loud.....to the point that I could not wait to get out of it...it was just not a relaxing experience nor atmosphere. I tried it, but it was just OK for me.

Brooklyn in the House! CM Morlene says "go here!" #1 listed on Yelp NYC - 1/28/2026
    Cam E.

Seeing Ci Siamo listed as Yelp's top 100 restaurants to visit, we had to make the trek to Hudson Yards midtown (currently my favorite Manhattan destination btw) to experience the talk of NYC Yelpie town! Chef Hilary's fabulous creations were absolutely sublime. Owner Danny Meyer knows talent when he sees it. The mood is fun, electric and everything we tasted was soooo very very good!! Waitstaff was very warm, welcoming and well-versed. Thank you BK CM Morlene for the excellent recommendation! We'll return again soon.

    focaccia and sauce

Decadent Italian food in a stunning setting with an open air kitchen concept and seating galore! The stracci (rabbit) pasta was so rich and buttery with very tender shredded rabbit that blended perfectly and doesn't even taste like rabbit. It's a very comforting hug. The pappardelle was ok but a little too salty for my taste I would not order again as it did not stand out the way the other dishes did. The cast iron focaccia was perfectly crispy and fluffy with the tomato dip it was a heavenly bite. The trout I can sing praises about for days, not a single bone anywhere to be found and so moist. I find trout to be a drier fish but there was not a single dry element it was stuffed with pine nuts and spinach and so moist and delish! For dessert, the elegant lemon torte is the thinnest of pastry layers with a well balanced not too sweet not too tart layer. A great bite at the end of a great meal! The service was so kind and friendly! They went the extra mile and noticed our food was taking a really long time so comped us a focaccia half. Really good experience!

Must try restaurant in the Hudson Yards area. Ci Siamo had a cozy environment with an upscale feel without the fluff. The main restaurant is on the second floor and they also have a third floor reserved for special events. The decor is chic and clean. There is also a view of the Empire State Building which is a nice plus. We ordered the focaccia to start followed by the cavatelli and rigatoni. The bread was lightly toasted and airy. Both pasta dishes were plentiful in size and had bold flavors. The chocolate cake and cheesecake were also delicious. Desserts were light but rich in taste. Service was attentive and waitress helpful with recommendations. Overall great experience.

Wine for the elevator ride up to the dining room, cute!
    May L.

Come try the best martini I've ever had. The Ci Siamo martini is split in 2 so your drink stays chilled and you can garnish with the accoutrements they provide--innovation! It's made with 2 gins, twice the fun--neversink and occitan. Another non negotiable is the cast iron focaccia. Warm, fluffy, crunchy--a great start to a fantastic meal. We shared the rabbit stracci and the beef cheek pappardelle and finished the meal with the lemon torta. 10s all around. We knew the meal would be exemplary when we rode the elevator up and there was a wine cart with small glasses so you could have some wine on the ride to the dining area. So cute! Elevator wine! 'Til next time, cheers!

Ci Siamo Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Ci Siamo

Is it a kid friendly or good for family dinners?

I would say that it is not particularly kid friendly. This is more of an adult restaurant.

Any issues wearing jeans and a sweater here?

Nope. Been here multiple times and always in jeans

Are dogs allowed on the top patio?

    Absolutely not!!!

Is there a spicy dish on the menu?

Having dined there for both lunch and dinner I don't recall there being what I would consider a spicy dish on the menu.

    Is this place kid friendly?

Although I did see a family with young children, I would say it is really more of an adult atmosphere. Not to mention I wouldn't call it a kid friendly menu.
