A Must-Visit NYC Gem! On a recent trip to New York City, my friend brought me to La Pécora Bianca, assuring me it would not disappoint--and she was absolutely right. We went straight from the airport, and the moment we walked in, I loved the warm, low lighting and real candles. The cozy, relaxing atmosphere was exactly what I needed after a long day of travel. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, Jasmine, was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. Drinks arrived quickly, and both the martini and margarita were fresh and perfectly balanced. Felix, our food runner, was personable and impressively quick. For dinner, I ordered the Rigatoni with beef and pork bolognese--perfectly al dente (a must for me!) with a generous portion that I fully intended to save... but it was so delicious I couldn't leave a bite behind. My friend chose the Campanelle with roasted shrimp, which she loved; she said the chili flakes added just the right amount of heat and flavor. To top it all off, Margie, the general manager, stopped by our table to check in and chat about the restaurant--a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable. I can't wait to return to La Pécora Bianca on my next trip to NYC. Beautiful atmosphere, fantastic food, and wonderful people!

An Italian Love Letter Written in Vodka Sauce If pasta could hug you, this place would be doing it nonstop. Tucked into New York like a little carb-filled secret, this Italian spot serves homemade pasta so good it feels mildly illegal. Every noodle tastes like it was hand-rolled by someone's nonna who takes her job very seriously. Let's talk about the vodka sauce--creamy, rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely aware of how iconic it is. It clings to the pasta like it knows it belongs there. No puddles. No drama. Just perfection. The supporting cast? All 10s across the board. * Caesar salad: crisp, cold, garlicky, and confidently dressed. * Meatballs: tender, flavorful, and clearly raised right. * Truffle pasta: earthy, indulgent, and dangerously easy to fall in love with. And somehow, on top of all that decadence, the ambiance is incredibly calming. Soft lighting, cozy energy, and just enough buzz to feel alive without shouting over your fork. It's the kind of place where time slows down and you forget you have emails waiting for you. In summary: come hungry, leave emotionally attached, and spend the rest of the night wondering when you can come back.

Here for a business dinner so we had a preset family style meal. Seated in the back wherw sliding doors could close us off. Classic Italian.Flavorful. Good service. Very attentive to our group, and cautious of those with food allergies. I'd try them again Extrememly loud. My rating rationale for food service: +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

I wanted a quick, light lunch during my day in the city, and La Pecora definitely delivered. Part of me wishes I would have gotten some of their signature pasta, but since I had a lot of walking to do, I didn't want to eat a heavy meal. And their salad was perfect for that. I ordered the brussels salad, which is made with shaved brussels sprouts, pickled raisins, sunflower seeds and parmesan. It was perfectly filling. I also got a lemon basil soda. This was bright, sweet, fresh, a perfect spring N/A drink. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to get a table on short notice after I didn't see any available lunch reservations that day. But I took a chance since I was walking past to see if they had an opening, and they did! So definitely check in if this is on your list. I bet dinner is just fabulous here. I hope one day I get to come back!

5 stars all around Great service, very attentive, nice atmosphere, very welcoming staff & informative-shout out to Jose for being so wonderful. Went during restaurant winter week-party of 3. One person choose from the restaurant winter week lunch menu, the other 2 from the regular menu. The food was absolutely delicious. So many complex flavors brought together harmoniously. *Crispy artichoke with a delicious lemon aioli sauce-amazing *Herb fries with parmesean- crisp and hot & came with a creamy almost ketchup like CRACK SAUCE *Autumn Leaves radicchio, provolone, pear, candied pecans, shallots-HELLLOOOOOO sweet sweet heaven-this dish blew my mind because it was the perfect balance of tang, bitter, sweet and this was a wonderfully complex dish that came together beautifully. *Chicken Paillard castelvetrano olives, toasted almonds, parmesan-cooked to perfection *Little Gem Caesar parmesan, black pepper, toasted breadcrumbs-fresh and crisp ingredients *Ravioli pumpkin, brown butter, sage-ohhhhh myyyy again this is one of those dishes where not many can nail but La Pecora Bianca Midtown NAILED IT *Olive Oil Cake apple compote, whipped creme fraiche-Absolutely delicious and not overly sweet the creme fraische is on point. You need to take a long extended lunch and make your way to La Pecora Bianca Midtown because you may walk in and need to be rolled out afterwards-everything is too tasty.Love it.

Burger with cheese, aioli, shoestrings; tagliatelle with ragù

The Smith was way too noisy (Friday lunch!) so we defaulted to La Pecora Bianca. Also lively. Tagliatelle with meat sauce was terrific - perfect homemade pasta and tasty sauce, but a small portion for an entree and a bit skimpy on the sauce. Burger was a heavy disk as if pressed, a looser handling would have given the high quality meat more juiciness. Fontina just not my style, aioli was a mistake - tasty by itself, but a better fit with fish. Herbed shoestring potatoes were perfect but waaay too salty. Best thing was the genial service. Non-food note: wood chairs had rim around seat, very uncomfortable.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner here! I originally made a reservation for inside, but it was such a beautiful night that I asked to be moved outside and I'm so glad I did! Ambiance was nice even outside, and service was top notch! Our waiter Alex was so sweet and funny, very attentive and thoughtful! We started with the Caesar salad which was so simple yet perfectly dressed. I got the spicy limoncello margarita which was fabulous. I had the chicken parm which was absolutely to die for, 1000% recommend. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My parents had the salmon and pork chops, both which they loved. The brussel sprouts were also perfectly prepared. Got a hazelnut chocolate mousse as a bday dessert and it was melt in your mouth--so rich but truly fantastic. Would definitely return if I'm back in the city and looking for some solid Italian!

If you are looking for a great lunch deal in Midtown, this is a wonderful option. They offer a two course meal for just $30 with large portions. For my first course I ordered the cauliflower and it was so well cooked, extremely flavorful and enough to have leftovers. For my main entrée, I ordered the kale salad with salmon. Since I'm gluten-free they remove the Parmesan crisp, but I felt like the salad needed some lemon and less ricotta. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but I probably wouldn't order that type of salad again. The actual restaurant is very spacious, light and vibrant. It's in a nice area with many other restaurants nearby and shopping. Now this is why it's four stars instead of five stars. The service. When I walked in the hostess checked me in and acknowledge that we were celebrating a birthday because I had noted in my reservation. I asked them to bring the dessert and sing happy birthday and/or bring it out with a candle. Since he proactively brought it up and checked me on it twice, when we ordered our dessert, I assumed that they would follow through, but unfortunately they did not. The birthday surprise was ruined. The server was otherwise nice but nothing above and beyond.

Putting this on my FAVORITES IN NYC list!!! Service was outstanding. Food is incredible, the rigatoni alla vodka is to die for!!! Make sure to add that burrata to it. And the tiramisu is huge, took it to go but couldn't finish even half of it. I will be back, will make sure it's the first dinner stop next time around.

La Pecora Bianca is one of my go-to spots whenever a pasta craving hits. The menu is consistently solid, the cocktails and wine never miss, and the service is always warm and attentive. The space has a bright, charming vibe that makes it feel like a little escape from the city bustle. And when the weather's nice, there's nothing better than grabbing a seat outside--ideal for people-watching over a cocktail or two.

    Peyton L.

Delicious vodka pasta and friendly servers. Burrata is a must-add-on for the pasta. Large restaraunt and quite busy but has multiple options for seating.

Rigatoni and spaghetti (cacio e pepe)
    Sanchita O.

The food is good, not great. I get that it's supposed to represent simple Italian food but I really didn't feel like it lived up to the hype. I ordered a rigatoni and asked for protein, they offered a chicken breast piece on the side. The pasta was quite creamy and nice, the chicken, on the other hand, was extremely dry, bland and overcooked which ruined the experience of the pasta sadly. The tiramisu for 2 is like tiramisu for 5. It also felt very dense and heavy. Did not have the light, airy and fresh aspect I usually expect from a tiramisu. Unless you're in a big group that could share, I'd recommend skipping, you won't be missing out. Service was pretty nice, the waiter was sweet and gave some good recommendations on drinks and food. The restaurant itself has a very nice ambiance. Love the wall with Italian cookbooks on shelves.

    Broccolini
    Emily H.

La Pecora Bianca is my GO TO spot for take out. Their delivery is always amazing and tastes just as good as dining inside the restaurant. Their food is delicious and their service is super fast and everything is affordable! The whipped ricotta is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. It is mouth watering and the bread that comes with it pairs so well and is so perfectly seasoned. I always get the whipped ricotta no matter what. Their vodka rigatoni and garganelli pastas are so good too. The brussel sprouts look weird but taste amazing. The meatballs and broccolini can be skipped. I have ordered from here multiple times and definitely will continue to do so. I need to try more of their dishes, I love this place so much!

    What are the brunch hours?

Monday through Friday they open at 11:30, Saturday and Sunday at 10. Depends on what you think is brunch.

Do they have heated outdoor dining?

    Yes!

I used to go to the location on 2nd. Is it me or they just changed the whole menu?

Yes, limited menu now with covid - believe it's just an abbreviated version. They did definitely change at least some of the recipes though since before they closed in March

Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. It's a small area with the tables pretty close together. We were given a table in the far corner, which was perfect for comfort and looking out at the restaurant. Two of us each ordered a glass of house wine, which were "ok." We opted for the Boqueria Experience, which is $65 per person and includes a variety of chef-selected tapas, a paella and an order of the restaurant's special JAMÓN IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA, which is described on the charcuterie menu as aged 48 months, with deep marbling, rich and nutty flavor. We enjoyed most of the tapas, including the potatoes, the beef/lamb balls, the salad and bruschetta. The croquettes were "ok" with the heavy aeoli masking some of the flavor. The seafood paella was good and was different from ones I've had in the past, with the caramelized layer on the bottom. Yum. Honestly, none of us was a big fan of the Jamon Iberico de Bellota. I'm sure it's special and luxurious, but we found it not to have much flavor. Frankly, it was a big disappointment for us. The service was beyond excellent. We were very pleased with the timing of the presentation of the meal, the superb water service and the general enthusiasm and pleasantness of the Staff. We will come back and try different items on the ala carte menu. I thought there would be more seafood and meat tapas offerings in the "Experience". Instead, it was a lot of cheese, vegetables, dates and bread. Although $65 per person likely was a good value for what we got, I think the tapas items were heavy on the lower cost tapas and that it wasn't a true top-of-the-line "Experience". A seafood dish or even a chicken dish (chicken wings) instead of one of the two croquette offerings would have helped.

Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.
