It's pretty quiet with a very small bar really nice stuff really friendly except for one guy, but he doesn't count so I will say the food was amazing. Service was amazing. Ambience amazing just quiet. Which exactly what I wanted that night. So let's get through the food. The food definitely exceeded my expectations. We had reservations and they sat us in a prime location. Such a beautiful restaurant on the rooftop. You could miss it if you're not paying attention, you have to go up inside the Doubletree. I had the Pollo Alla Toscana, it was made up of chicken with a goat cheese, and given with some delicious potatoes. The only thing I was not a fan of was the lychee Martinis, they were a lot more milky than I anticipated. However, in the description, it said nothing about the drink having any dairy or coconut in it. That's all we tasted when we drank it. The Burratta appetizer with the tomatoes was seasoned so well. We sat at our table when we first got there for probably about 15 minutes before our order was taken. It did allow us to look at the menu a bit more, but our food took quite a bit of time. One thing I did notice they charged gratuity on our table of four people. It made a lot of sense because the server did not really check on us very often. He kinda disappeared. I'll start with the good stuff, to be fair. The food and drinks were really good. So was the ambiance. Now the rest... The hostess and wait staff were terribly rude. Both had weird attitudes for no reason and acted like they didn't want us there and were trying to rush our experience at first, until they realized they couldn't...then the waiter kind of ignored us. I had to find him for my second drink which I got an hour after my first. THEN...they refused to do separate checks because it's a "policy." It is the 21st century, We have the technology to do separate checks. No one is in any way shape or form concerned with your (our your staff's) preferences around separate checks. If we as customers want it, provide it. It's really not up for debate. You don't want to provide that level of basic service? Close. You're clearly not ready to receive guests. Apart from the food, which again...in fairness...was good, the full experience was pretty terrible. I would not recommend. Nice spot next to Radio City, good views on the outside deck, and food was pretty good, the only complaint was that the staff really hovers and rushes guests. Repeatedly came up to take or order before we even had a chance to look at the menu, all food has to be ordered (apps and dinner), and then they stand outside just watching waiting to swoop in to clear plates. We decided to do a museum weekend and stayed at a hotel right by Rockefeller Center. We came back from a lot of walking, and decided we would have dinner at this restaurant right at the hotel. The front desk made a reservation for us, and we arrived a little early but were seated right away. It was very cold outside, and they did have patio seating which gave a little draft where we were seated. It wasn't bad, and as the night went on, it got comfortable. The place was pretty full, and even the colder patio area seemed to be packed, but service was spot on. I accidentally dropped a bread plate, and before I could lean over and pick it up, one of the other servers had already picked it up, while another slid a replacement plate from another table onto ours, and another server replaced that one. It happened so quick, but I felt was really remarkable after I had observed the whole thing. I was tempted to drop something else, but restrained myself. Started off with a couple of cocktails, then appetizers, and the main courses. Everything came out timely, and very well prepared. Not once did I have to get someone's attention for anything. Our waiter was always nearby and very attentive, but not hovering. The martinis were perfect and almost went down too easily. The Polpo was perfectly grilled and had a nice delicate bite. I'm a fan of goat cheese in my salad, so we got the Duomo51, which had some blueberries and a light lemon dressing which was just right. My better half had the Lobster Ravioli special, and I had the Ribeye. This arrived very hot with a great sear, but medium rare as I ordered it. They had sliced it while on the bone before grilling, so each piece was nicely crusted and medium rare. We skipped dessert, but did have a couple more martinis. They were delicious. read more

Came here with a reservation, and the service was great, but the food was very average. We started out with $18 mimosas, followed by the Eggs Benedict with spinach, and the 3 Egg Omelet. The food was good but nothing special, and the 'breakfast potatoes,' were skim. Maybe it was because it was NYE or just a New York thing, but we had an automatic gratuity charge of 20% for a party of 2? I know that's a thing for big parties, but people are just getting greedy these days. This breakfast was $107 dollars, including the gratuity and the fact that $36 of that was in just 2 mimosas. I arranged a dinner with my team during the holiday season here. The restaurant is located on the 7th floor of a hotel. NOTE. The restrooms are one flight door on what looks like a floor with actual sleeping rooms. They placed us in what would be a partitioned room where we could look at the rest of the gorgeous restaurant. We had a prefix menu and I started with the calamari which was delicious, I was able to taste the meatballs which were really good as well. For the pasta course they gave each of us a plate with both pastas - one in a tomato sauce and a spinach and ricotta ravioli that was in a brown butter sauce. I could have eaten an entire plate of that ravioli it was so good. For my entree I had a very well seasoned skirt steak that was cooked perfectly. We finished the night with tiramisu which was good as well and I'm not a big fan of tiramisu. The only downside is that I felt our waiter could have checked on us for time to time. I had to constantly flag someone down to ask for more water or drinks. Overall a great meal that everyone enjoyed! read more

Which is odd because not only is transportation in nyc unpredictable, this is also located in a hotel with just two elevators. We arrived on time, while the rest of our party was only five minutes late, and they told us to stand by the elevators in the hall... I absolutely hated that. It ruined our whole experience. What if something came up & they couldn't make it at all? Service was fine. Pasta was sub-par. You get a great view of radio city, but that was the best part. My experience here was pretty mid in all honesty. I came for a friends birthday. I orders the pomodoro and a non alcoholic drink. The Pomodoro was good but nothing to write home about. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce was good but again, nothing to write home about. I also had a bite of the carbonara which was pretty flavorful and very good. I feel like the menu was pretty basic. It's your standard pastas, seafood, American Italian dishes. They did have a truffle section though. But I wish they had put a bit more into their dishes to make them unique. The service was fine. The dishes were all brought out around the same time. Sorry but NO! I made reservation month in advance. I made sure to make a comment that its my bday and if they could seat us near the window. They did not and on top of that we got the most ride waiter ever named Marsel. He literally was ignoring me (female) and he was just talking to my friend (male) and only asking him what he likes to order, or if the food was ok. Even my friend said "wow he really is ignoring you". Disgusting service! The food was ok, i liked the salad but i did not like the pasta. Atmosphere was ok tho extremely loud, the music was loud so all people were screaming over. I did not enjoy my time at this restaurant all, the main thing was the waiter being rude to me on my birthday. The only good thing about this restaurant is the location. I was really looking forward to dining here based on the great reviews, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Despite making a reservation for five people, we were initially going to be seated at a table meant for four. When we arrived, they were still setting up the table, and then they removed the tablecloth right in front of us, which felt a bit strange and unprofessional. Another disappointment was learning that the only alcoholic breakfast option was mimosas. That wasn't a huge issue on its own, but I wish that information had been available beforehand. I also found it frustrating that when we placed our order around 11:20, our waitress told us mimosas were the only option. However, a table seated around 11:30 was immediately given a wine menu. It would have been helpful if our waitress had simply let us know that wine service would begin in about 10 minutes, as we would have happily waited. The food itself was underwhelming, especially considering the restaurant's reputation. Based on the reviews, this may be a much better dinner spot than a breakfast destination, but our breakfast experience did not live up to the hype. read more

Had lunch here this past weekend for my husband's birthday and I agree with a few other Yelpers that our experience was somewhat average. Let me start with the good: service was perfect and the ambiance was too...we had a lovely table outside and the weather was perfect. Food is where this place falls short. The filet mignon was overcooked and dry and the carbonara was not really edible (per my friend who didn't eat more than a few bites). On the plus side I had a wonderful salad and side of carrots and potatoes (I'm vegan), all of which were delicious. Prices are pretty high so I'm not sure we'll rush to return, but I'm glad we visited at least once! read more

It's located inside a hotel on the 7th floor, the views are spectacular. We arrived at almost 5pm and made a reservation ahead of time since it was 9 of us. We were quickly seated as soon as we arrived. Service was great, they had a few people helping us. They checked on us frequently. They take the orders for appetizers and main course at the same time. We had the eggplant, the calamari (it isn't fried so the texture is a bit different), and the burrata. My favorite was the burrata it's so good but cheese is always a good option in my opinion. For my main course I had the lobster ravioli which wasn't on the menu but I guess one of their specials for that day. It wasn't ok, the lobster that was placed around my ravioli was hard so probably overcooked. Some others in the group ordered steaks including the Ribeye and Tomahawk. The ribeye in my opinion looked better because the Tomahawk looked like it was mainly a huge bone and a lot of fat on some of the meat. It did taste good though (at least the piece I tried). They also have a truffle menu if that's your thing, request that menu from them. They seem to have lunch specials during the week days until a certain time, they have a fix menu for a 3 course meal for about $40. Overall it was a nice time. You're escorted on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel and whatever fragrance they use? I want it on me and my body always! The servers were attentive, the mock tail was fresh and the food was delicious. I had the lunch special which came with an app, entree and dessert. I ordered the meatballs, chicken milanese and the panna cotta. I also ordered the pasta vongole because how could you not? Everything was SCRUMPTIOUS! Seasoned, fresh, light and delicate. Reservations are highly recommended. Food quality is superb. The highest of quality of food. It serves a majority of Mediterranean cuisine. When looking at this restaurant it was mainly advertised as Italian cuisine, but it's lacking on the Italian side. I would think this should be a Michelin star if it's not already. They deserve it. I do wish there were more food options as there was a lack in variety. Watched our waiter professional debone a fish using only 2 spoons and I couldn't be more impressed. Service was just excellent. Very attentive, friendly kind and a good sense of humor. Came here for a birthday and couldn't help but to have a memorable time due to the service, food, ambiance, vibe, views and just a plain ol good time. Loved the interior decor. It was rather elegant featuring walls of wine that were perfect for a photo op. I ordered Eggs Benedict with spinach that also came with breakfast potatoes and an espresso. The food runner sat my food down and walked off. I would have liked some Tabasco for my potatoes but when I saw the three small cubes, I figured it wasn't worth it. Once I was done, it took a minute to get a refill of my water and the check. This is a really good place and perfect for our anniversary dinner. I stumble a post on IG about two months ago around June and saved the post but haven't really look into their reviews until a month ago before my trip. Made reservation the moment I saw the pictures of the view of St. Patrick Cathedral and truffle menu. This place is located on the 7th floor of a Hilton Hotel, nothing weird, you just walk straight in the lobby to the back where the elevator is located and pressed the 'up' button. We dressed up business casual, since this was our anniversary date and the vibes, were vibing. Love the entrance and we got there with 15 minutes to spare before our RSVP time, and the host was wonderful about it. With in minutets we were seated at our table. We didn't get the view but I think we didn't mind because the FOOD was impecable! (Maybe next time we can get a seating out in the patio but this was a more intimate dinner) We planned to share the meals since we were going to eat more and wanted to save room for dessert and I think it was the best move. For appetizer we got: POLPO ALLA GRIGLIA: grilled octopus, chickpea cream, arugula. 8.3/10 Perfectly charred and not over cooked on the octopus and the chickpea cream was a great texture with a fresh bite of arugula. No so famous words of Bart Kwan from Bart & Geo vlogs when he took his wife out to a restaurant in Vegas, stating that if a restaurant has a dish named after it, GET IT! Ya'll let me tell you something about the DUOMO51 SALAD. 100/10 Yes, it sounds like something you can make at home but that lemon dressing was just PERFECT!! Ties everything together with the toasted walnuts, goat cheese, pear and blueberry. Especially for this summer night, we wanted something refreshing and not too heavy since we were going to eat CARBONARA AL TARTUFO after this. Main dish: CARBONARA AL TARTUFO (see picture below) the server came by and started to shave the truffle on to the dish and this was my first time having truffle and not the hot sauce bottle kind. It may look a little but it was perfect for the both of us since this dish was a bit on the heavy side, it's not a bad thing but omg. I love it. Cute rooftop right across from Rockefeller Center. I never knew this place existed until my co-workers and I were looking for a place to have a bachelorette outing for one of the girls in my office. We went on a day where it was extremely hot, but thankfully this rooftop is covered and has fans, so we were all super comfortable. This place makes some really great drinks. Their Cosmopolitan and Mezcal drink (forgot the name of it) were both super tasty. We asked for a round of shots and we were poured some of the biggest shots I've ever had in my life! Which was great. Our waiter was extremely attentive and kept making sure we were ok and didn't need anything. We didn't try any of the food because we had dinner reservations somewhere else, but this is definitely a great spot to go for a date night or night out with the girls. Definitely make a reservation! We came here around 5 PM for dinner and there were a couple empty tables- but by the time we left around 630/7, all the tables were full. This is a classic Italian place sitting on top of a hotel with a nice view- I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and it was delicious with the added touch of black pepper and Italian seasoning. The drinks however were just OK- the waiter actually didn't even ask us if we wanted a second drink; he asked us if we wanted the dessert menu and when we responded no, gave us the check immediately which was a bit of a turn off- we definitely wanted to sit back and enjoy the rooftop view on a hot summer day.
