This was my first time visiting Jams. The ambiance was beautiful. All of the greenery made the space very inviting. Service was decent. We opted for the prix fixe menu since we were a party of 11. A little disappointed that we weren't actually served all of the courses on the preselected menu and then we were told the kitchen was closed. They attempted to remedy the situation by telling us they would reduce the prix fixe menu price per person but that didn't happen either. Not a terrible experience just unfortunate that small things like this put a slight damper on our experience, especially being that we had made our reservation well in advance and our party size was listed. Food was good, I just wouldn't come here with a large group.

This is a beautiful space! Plenty of open seating and tables available. There are tvs at the bar to watch games, however, there is only 1 restroom available on the main floor. Service was fast and drinks were good.

Fresh food that tastes absolutely delicious right at the bottom of the 1 Central Park Hotel!

Nice brunch spot! Good food, city prices, fun experience. Jams is located in a hotel by Central Park which makes for a great location to take a stroll after a meal. First come first serve at the bar which is where we sat and were greeted by bartenders who were really nice and attentive! The service was great. We ordered the BEC, spring frittata, and flatbread. The flatbread was so yummy. The frittata was fresh too, a bit salty. And the BEC and ketchup that came with the hash was great! Very lively and open space. I'd recommend if you're looking for a meal.

Brioche French toast & BEC. Mom got the lobster Benedict. Dad got the full brunch and didn't even offer anyone anything.

So yummy! Brioche french toast. Bec. Lobster Benedict. Full brunch. Yum! Parents loved it.

Great little breakfast spot just south of Central Park, and a solid option for starting our day off right to tour the park. We enjoyed the bacon and eggs, French toast and the açaí bowl. All good choices. I was hoping the peanut butter açaí bowl would be less chocolatey and more peanut butter (protein) but it hit the spot. The espresso drinks were quality and gave us a boost. The sort of surprise is that they ask for sparkling or flat and bring you full size large bottles which can add to the final bill. I am sure we could have waved off and ask for "tap" as true NYers have told me. Anyway... I would return to this place. I also love the decor with live plants everywhere and the quirky lobby art including a DC and a large Nail art. The restrooms upstairs are a little odd to locate, but clean.

Oh man, I really wanted to love this place...and continue my streak of giving 5-star reviews. I know, it's so boring reading my reviews because they're mostly all 5-stars...and that is because I do a lot of research to pick mostly amazing places... And well, I didn't pick our dinner spot myself a week and a half ago while I was in town on business, but I was excited to try James Beard winner Jonathan Waxman's beautiful restaurant. My buddy/client picked it and naturally, for good reason. The place itself is gorgeous, full of lush greenery, and the staff friendly and attentive. Cocktail list is nice and creative and the menu is nice as well. We had limited time so we decided to order a bunch of apps and well, they just didn't blow me away as I would expect from a James Beard award winner, I'm very sorry to say. We ordered the following: Autumn Flatbread ($28 - Stracciatella, Fig, Arugula, Garlic Cream, Onion Jam, Aged Balsamic) - This actually was quite fantastic but we ordered a lot of apps so I stretched and was able to fit a couple slices in. Whipped Ricotta Dip ($22 - Hot Chili Honey, Rosemary, Sourdough) - This was good if a bit on the sweeter side. I had several bites and did enjoy it. $22, though? I dunno...almost seemed like a dessert. Still, pretty underwhelming. Maplebrook Burrata ($27 - Delicata Squash, Pomegranate, Pistachio, Aged Balsamic) - This was good, not amazing. The burrata was good, just like many I have had. The squash wasn't great and seemed a bit heavy with the delicate burrata; for the price, I would have just preferred some really nice, juicy and meaty tomatoes but I do appreciate trying to go for something different. Crispy Brussel Sprouts ($14 - Smoked Bacon Jam, Parmesan) - I always love crispy brussel sprouts. I had one recently in Connecticut with hoisin sauce at a little pub and that one could have been my absolute favorite. This one was tasty but didn't stand out. Autumn Crudite ($19 - Hummus with vegetables and green goddess dips) - I actually didn't try this. Looked quite average. I am sad to write a 3-star review for this place because I really expected to be blown away. Maybe I'm being a little harsh based on my expectations for a James Beard award winner's restaurant. I dunno...the interior is beautiful and I would have liked to have tried an entree but I'd expect again, that it wouldn't blow me away. Still, that flatbread was fantastic. Maybe YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) and you'll have a better experience than me. The company I was in, my friend and client was fantastic...the food...eh. MAYBE GIVE IT A SHOT. Don't kill yerself if 'ya miss it.

Jams was decided as we were in Manhattan hotel and just wanted an amazing start of the day with good brunch ! I randomly picked it and was an ultimate treat It is also a hotel and a restaurant . I was lucky to get a reservation on a short notice . The place is like Amazon forest amazingly decorated and very fancy The food was really good . Would highly recommend it

What a beautiful vibe this place is. Awesome mixologists, the best calamari I've had in my life, a masterful DJ... and the plants, THE PLANTS. Chef's kisses to everyone at Jams

Stopped by here for a quick bite while waiting for dinner. We happened to get there during their shake and shell time which kinda they're happy hour - drinks and oysters are special price. We were seated right away, lots of folks are there for HH. Vibes were vibing. Our server came pretty quickly and our food too. Since this is an in between meal for us - we only got oyster and they're jams kale salad which is TDF!!!! It's flavorful in every bite and all the right texture! The cafe is cute too and they have a good cocktail list. Come visit them if you're in the area

Came for thanksgiving brunch. Ambiance is nice and hotel is located in a great viewing spot for Macys thanksgiving day parade. The brunch offerings were good but not anything out of the ordinary. Service was consistent and the drinks were good. The hotel is also nicely decorated.

Shakshuka with an order of toast on the side
    Amanda M.

This was an interesting brunch. I loved the interior with all of the greenery. It was blustery day and it felt nice to sit inside and get a dose of spring & summer vibes. Shakshuka is one of my all time favorite dishes and I had never heard of "green" shakshuka so I decided to give it a go. Rather than a sauce with gooey eggs cooked into it on top, this dish was served with the eggs on the bottom and sautéed greens on top. I appreciated that the eggs were still a bit gooey and it was an interesting combination of flavors and textures. Not sure why it isn't served with toast so I ordered that on the side so I had something to scoop the concoction onto. This felt like a relatively healthy brunch and kept me feeling light on my feet for the rest of the busy day of walking around Manhattan. Coffee was just fine but service could have been more attentive. I couldn't figure out if there was a shift change while we were there and our server went home or who our actual server was, but it seems like we flagged someone different down every time.

I love the ambience and the drinks. This spot is very well put together, the greenery that aligns the walls make it very inviting and comfortable to hang out. The bar menu is well crafted and the drinks seem to have been put together by a mixologist, because the combinations are interesting and unique in the same breath. Inflation is a bitch and you can expect to pay NYC pricing at this place, drinks averaging 21 dollars (including a glass of wine) but it's 2025 and anything worth having is 20 bucks, plus! I ordered a drink that was above my taste level and tried to stick it out but my bar tender saw my reaction and quickly asked if he could replace my drink. I traded in the mezcal drink on the menu for a specially made spicy margarita I highly recommend the burrata is to die for, soft, salty and soooo damn good!

It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water.
