It's been a bit since we've been to the city and brunch was a great intro back. Food was incredible! First time having the folded eggs and wow, we are now on the hunt for more. Salmon was fresh and coffee was excellent. Great outdoor seating and beautiful interior with great ambiance. Service was great and friendly.

Cute spot to come for brunch with friends and family. I honestly thought it was bigger than it really is. Our service was a bit on the slow side with our coffee orders. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals. I had the fried egg and bacon sandwich on sourdough. I wish something came with it like a small side salad or a hash brown. I mean the sandwich itself was filling. My iced latte was a bit on the milky side and I wish it came in a tall glass. I would try out another dish and another coffee drink from here though.

Love going here for the Golden Folded Eggs bowl! It's one of my favorite healthy, yet yummy brunches. I always add the sourdough toast and berry jam. So good!! The kale salad is my favorite part of the bowl! The vanilla latte is always great too.

Great as takeout and in person! My go-to is the big breakfast which gives you anything you could ever want in a brekkie bowl :)

This was was very quiet and cute. We stopped by to get a few deinks as there was a really good smell coming from theplace. Though we didnt have time to get meals we did order drinks as those were emfaster to come out. Upon entry were were able to order our drinks and pick a spot to sit. The hostess/waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered a flat white and a matcha with butterscotch foam. The flat white came out first and it was the right amount of bitter and the light foam on top was amazing. The matcha butterscotch was an interesting drink. The cup came out home but the matcha was a nice room temp which made it easy to drink. The matcha was more matcha tea than matcha milk which i enjoyed. It was bitter but still a nice matcha warm drink. The butterscotch foam was nice but wasn't sweet to blend into the matcha. The drink was still great and would definitely get again. To end our drinks we decided to get a happy hour drink, the upside down pineapple cocktail. It was a mezcal based drink which was delicious. The sourness of the drink worked well with the tajin rim. We would definitely stop by here again to get some food items as there were some items on the menu that seemed delicious!

Went on a Saturday late afternoon, waited 10 minutes to be seated. There is a small waiting area vestibule. We got seated next to the door where there was a draft but the server was nice enough to close the door when asked. We got the classic burger and mushroom wrap with sweet potato fries and seasoned fries, respectively. The burger was better than I expected (it should be good, it's nearly $20) -- patty so juicy and tender, not smashed, almost like steamed, hefty and tasty. The mushroom was wrap was really good- the mushrooms and the sauce (cashew pesto or harissa aoili) were the highlight.

Walked by many times and finally was able to stop by after making a Trader Joe's run around the corner. What used to house Vino Tapa, is now Banter -- which has a few other locations in the city. Cute space, with a few tables outside which we took advantage of. Has a decent happy hour 4-7pm. I took advantage with a glass of Sauvignon blanc ($8). Service with a smile, the girl who helped me was so sweet and checked in on my son and I often. Food is very good -- got a hummus plate which came with a lot of roasted veggies and sweet potato fries. Yum! Plenty to bring home and glad I popped in. Would return!

Enjoyed brunch here with a friend and my son on a Tuesday morning. Nice, calm and clean atmosphere. Friendly staff. Order came out quickly and tasted good. We had salmon toast, fried chicken sandwich and the big breakfast. We were able to have a chill conversation and enjoy each other's company.

Came here for their pasta and date night deal. First off, the service here is incredible. I sat at the bar at first, while I was waiting for my friend to arrive, and they were incredibly friendly and nice. They made sure that my beer and water were full the entire time. The happy hour cannot be beat! $2 canned beers, $8 espresso martinis? Where can you go wrong? Eventually, when my friend arrived, we moved to the table and got a round of the spressi tinis. They were a touch on the sweet side for my taste, but again for $8 they were incredible. We moved onto the main course. We got the spicy sausage pasta each and the flavor was incredible, and it definitely packed more of a punch than I though it would. You are allowed to get any bottle of wine and two pastas for $60 (besides the veuve) and I gotta say that's an incredible deal. The ambiance is super laid back and casual and perfect for a date night or to catch up with a friend!

A dear friend and I went to Banter for brunch after a meeting in the area and let me tell you, the brunch on all scores was spot on. The host was kind and informative and we got seated right away under 5 minutes. The server delighted (or maybe humored us?) with our questions of the menu or suggestions. The space was less than half full by 9 am and the decor was clean, modern, still with color and cozy textures where it felt welcoming. Coffee arrived swiftly and was perfect on all fronts with our flat white and cortado. As coffee and especially as espresso lovers, we were thrilled. Good microfoam, good crema, great espresso balance with hot milk. We shared entrees of salmon toast with plentiful salmon and the banter big breakfast which had great Aussie touches of tomato jam and mushrooms along with savory haloumi with perfectly poached egg on sourdough. So glorious! We wrapped up with the gluten free banana bread which was a superb texture given advance of gluten and it wasn't too saccherine or overly spiced. Over all, genuinely a lovely brunch which is a semi-fancy time but with every point precisely executed, you won't mind. Definitely going to go again! Great for a fun catch up, warm out of town friend visit, and early day date.

IMO this place is a gem of a brunch place. There are a lot of healthy options and also "cheat day" meals. Banter Bowl - this is how I want to eat going forward. A mix of many ingredients. Healthy and good. 5/5 Roasted Veggies and Farrro. Lots of healthy greens. 4/5 Mushroom wrap with sweet potato fries. Tasted so good. Decided to try to make this at home. 5/5 Fried Chicken Sandwich with regular fries. Satisfied the craving of my 8 month old pregnant friend. 5/5

Chicken Salad Wrap and Avocado Toast.

My friend and I did a walk in on Sunday at 2pm and got seated immediately! We both ordered a juice (fresh start, green vitality) and both were good, the fresh start was sweeter because of the apple but refreshing, and the green vitality was pretty sour. For food, I got the chicken salad wrap and it came with an enormous amount of sweet potato fries. I loved how the wrap wasn't too mayo-y and the sauce was pretty light too, I wish there was more filling, I had to rip off parts of the wrap. The fries were great and I got the spicy aioli sauce which dipped well. The avocado toast with egg was also really good and filling, surprisingly. I loved the texture of the egg.

So excited to check at the newest Banter location. Super friendly vibes for brunch. They really make you feel welcome here. You feel absolutely great after leaving because all of their food is healthyish. Love that they have gluten friendly options here. I got their falafel bowl and enjoyed everything in it . I had a refreshing house-made lemonade to wash it down. My friend had the folded eggs with salmon and a golden latte. **A couple of years ago they had a beet hummus at another location. I recommend bringing that back as it was amazing

It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
