Stopped in here on a rainy afternoon when we were desperate for food after our flight. We loved the cute vibe and it was busy for 3pm. The rice bowl was refreshing and filling. The pasta was good. We would have liked a bigger portion. The staff were friendly and approachable.
One of my favorite spots when I'm in town. It's usually crowded so expect a wait but it moves quickly. Nice brunch spot with a very diverse menu offering everything from breakfast to pasta. Highly recommend the Ricotta Pancakes. Fluffy pancakes topped with seared bananas and served with a nice honeycomb butter and real Vermont syrup. The Spicy Sausage Breakfast Sandwich has spicy pork sausage, fontina, a nice chili jam, a scrambled egg and a nice lemon aioli served on a bun. I was a little hesitant of this one, but this is very good. Food is always good and service is exceptional. It's a solid brunch spot.

Had the shrimp pasta, which was creamy but light, shrimp was cooked perfectly. Also had the pumpkin seed pesto pasta which was also spot on with the consistency of the sauce. The pancakes were the best of the options we tried. If I would come back it might be to try a lunch burger but otherwise I won't race back.
Food is delicious! All employees are friendly and courteous. Place is small, but full of good anergy and good music. -meat on bronte burger tastes premium, a bit sweet mayo -extra crispy french fires -double smashed party cheese burger: juicy and full of taste. I recommend this place

If the subway is more your thing, it is a short walk from the 33rd street 6 train. My friend and I got a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is very small and we were seated fairly close to the front. This isn't the type of spot to frequent after shopping, leave your bags at home! Neither of us are the type to order an alcoholic beverage but we hadn't seen each other in a while and ordered one of the specials. The cider spritz was so refreshing! We decided to order the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and each of us ordered a pasta dish as our entree. All of them were excellent! We saved room for dessert and ordered the chocolate cake. A great way to end the night!

We opted for Little Ruby's since they hyped up the spicy Italian sausage pasta which they had a while ago. Sweet potato fries- solid portion, crispy. We swapped the sweet chili sauce for truffle aioli. Creamy chicken pasta- creamy, underseasoned, runny sauce that barely stuck onto the pasta. Spicy Italian sausage pasta- very mild spice, only a small amount of italian sausage...if you didn't look close enough, you wouldn't have realized there were any. Well seasoned but again the sauce was runny. Underwhelming and disappointing meal to say the least, likely wouldn't recommend or come back unfortunately.

They seem to have a pretty decent-sized menu, too. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside because of the heat. However, the indoor space is on the smaller side, and the table arrangement in the center felt a bit awkward. The host asked if we had a reservation, but the place was basically empty, so why even ask? We paid a little over $30 for a smoothie and an avocado toast, which felt way too pricey for the amount of food we received. On top of that, we were charged $8 for water. Had I known the cost, I would've ordered an iced coffee or another smoothie instead. Overall, we won't be coming back. There are better spots out there with more comfortable seating, better vibes, and more reasonable portions for the price. By the way, the avocado toast was just okay, nothing impressive or memorable.

It's very interesting it's an Australian restaurant and they call it shrimps instead of prawns. Really can't wait to stop by when I am best in NYC my friend told me the bolognese is really good. They also serve Bundaberg my favorite Australian ginger beer.
Came for an Italian dinner, a friend of a friend suggested this establishment based on their experience - didn't realize there was a bunch of Ruby's all over Manhattan and one in Brooklyn. It's a small but quaint little eatery with barely any room to walk or squeeze by between tables. The food, presentation, and portion of the pasta dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The shoestring fries were perfect not greasy for a finger dish. If I'm in other neighborhoods in the city and stumble upon a Ruby's I'll go in and try some of the other dishes on the menu. Service was good, the waitress checked in on us a few times not too much and not like to rush us either as it's a small place and there were people waiting.
Great place , good service the food was sooooo good that to add another soooooooo good !! I can't wait to come back here eat this again but this time just all by myself . The place is a little cramped but it's ok was worth it .

Have come in for breakfast/brunch a few times this past summer. Loved every single item from here, every single time. From the pancakes, sandwiches and the bowls... still have yet to try the pasta that someone ordered next to me and it smelled so good after I had finished my own meal. Always my favorite for the Bronte Burger. Juicy, tender, seasoned, and with sweet chili and the tang of mayo. It's my favorite burger in the world. This review is specifically for the Big Breakfast because I eat it at every Ruby's location! I keep telling myself that I should diversify and provide a more accurate review, so I will update my review if I ever end up not being a creature of habit. I think the Murray Hill location makes fantastic use of the small space they have! However, if you come at a busy time, you will be able to hear your neighbors' conversations because the tables are very close together. The Big Breakfast ($20) comes with two eggs, bacon, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, baked beans, hash brown, and sourdough toast. Everything is flavored very well, especially the mushrooms and the beans. The hash brown has been perfectly fried every time I have it, though it needs ketchup. For the tomatoes, I prefer them without the stems, and have had mixed experiences with that execution. The last time I went here, the toast was also over-toasted and seemed to not have butter on it, so it was very dry. I just think this is such a filling, tasty, and balanced meal! Service at this location has always been welcoming! I have had people check in on me each time. They give you water, so they don't need to worry about water refills. read more
3.5/5 but rounding up! Came on a Saturday afternoon and had a short wait to get sat for brunch. Unfortunately it was SO hot inside- no relief from the humidity outside! Our server was nice, but didn't check in frequently. We had to ask a busboy for water. The food was really good- I got the big breakfast plate but subbed out bacon for halloumi since I don't eat meat, and our server comped that which was super nice. I also subbed the beans for avocado which was probably a crazy upcharge but it was worth it. The plate was very generous and definitely was needed for my hangover. The mushrooms were so flavorful- def a highlight of the plate. Eggs and halloumi were good, hash brown was nothing special. My matcha was excellent! This was quite a pricey meal for what it was, but it was still yummy. I think I'd probably like the dinner menu more so I'd come back to try that! read more

Dining at Ruby's is always a pleasant experience. Although the space is small, the staff is so efficient and food is delicious! I haven't been here in a long time and now that I've been back, it will definitely go in my rotation of local restaurants to visit! My friend and I started with a chai latte and vanilla latte which were both tasty. For our meals, I got the crispy rice bowl with smoked salmon which was so yummy and I didn't leave a crumb. My friend got the breakfast bowl which she really liked as well! read more

Cute space and perfect brunch. I got the breakfast bowl which had thick slices of sourdough toast, ricotta, 2 poached eggs, half an avocado with pea sprouts, and prosciutto. Everything was fresh, perfectly executed, and I had fun experimenting with different combinations for each bite. Loved this hearty, savory, and fresh start to the day. read more

Pancakes are my usual go-to for breakfast, so I had to give the Ricotta Hotcakes at Little Ruby's a try. The place is definitely on the cozy side. Like, really cozy. Our table for two felt a bit tight and you might find yourself getting a little up close and personal with guests at nearby tables as they come and go. We kicked things off with the Butterfly Lavender Lemonade and a regular Lemonade. Both were super refreshing and a great start to the meal. The Ricotta Hotcakes come with bananas and a side of maple syrup. I'm not a fan of bananas with pancakes, but the staff was happy to switch them out for blueberries, which I really appreciated. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, but the ricotta could've used a little zing. Maybe some lemon zest or something to brighten it up. We also tried the Egg Sandwich, which had sunny-side eggs, bacon, cherry tomatoes, arugula, spicy relish, and a hash brown all stacked on a sesame bun. It was tasty and filling. It hit the spot. Overall, the food and service were good, but I'm not sure it's a spot I'd rush back to. Glad I tried it though! read more

Overall I enjoyed the food options and want to give this place another chance. The service was speedy. My friend enjoyed the breakfast bowl and I truly wanted to enjoy my crispy rice bowl- but the egg was RAW. I didn't think to inspect my egg, so I snapped this quick pic and mixed up the bowl. I didn't say anything to the waiter because It wasn't until I took a bite that I had to quickly chug my drink to wash down the slimy congealed mouthful of uncooked egg. I was meeting up with a friend for dinner and she suggested Little Ruby's! The place is quite small but the ambiance and energy is amazing. I would first like to shout out rhe fabulous hostess who saw that I was running really low on phone battery and not only helped me find a plug, but lent me her own charger when we found out the charger I brought wouldn't work with the plug. Thank you! I ordered a lavender lemonade which was FABULOUS. Honestly one of the best drinks I've had in a long time and so needed after a long day of walking. It was also beautiful and pretty to look at. I ordered the spicy vodka pasta while my friend had the Bronte burger. While I didn't get pictures of either of those dishes (we were too hungry so just dug in), they were as delicious as the drink and large enough so that it also ended up being lunch for me. The servers were nice and attentive and didn't mind that we were there catching up for at least 2 hours. It had been a year since I saw my friend so I sincerely appreciate that they didn't pressure us to leave or continue ordering if we were going to stay. I will be back! read more

Very cute very cozy very small place. My friends and I came in for an early weekday breakfast and there was already quite a few people there. I ordered the banana bread, a small side of roasted tomatoes, and sautéed veggies. All of the food was pretty good! Simple and well done. The sautéed spinach we got was quite salty though. When we got the check, I noticed that we were charged $8 for the side of spinach that I thought I ordered ($4). Apparently the server thought I had ordered the full sized portion of spinach. I told the server this, and they graciously charged us the original $4 we had expected for the misunderstanding. So outstanding service there! We put our names down for 3 people on a Monday evening around 7 and there was a 20 min wait. The waiters were super patient with us as we were pretty indecisive when ordering. I ended up ordering the Bluey's sandwich which was a good sized portion, yummy without being too heavy. I also got a side of sweet potato fries. Overall it was yummy and a good price! read more

Had a lovely Saturday brekkie during a nice autumn day. We didn't have a res but we waited only ten minutes for a table to free up outside. The servers were really nice and the food and drinks came out fairly quickly. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and a breakfast bowl. The latte was delicious and I liked the freshness of the ingredients in my bowl. The avocado was just right and the eggs were poached just the way I liked them (not too runny). We did deal with some small bugs and a persistent bee buzzing around us, but otherwise it was really nice to dine outside. Inside looks nice too but the tables definitely looked close together. read more

Went to Ruby's in Murray Hill hoping for their breakfast burrito but they actually only serve that burrito at the West Village location and they tend to change the menu per location! That didn't stop us from having a great meal though. My party of three shared a rigatoni a la vodka, a crispy rice bowl salad, a side of brussels and banana bread. All amazing. I highly recommend getting the rice bowl since it was so light but incredibly flavorful. The rigatoni tasted great too and was an awesome accompaniment to the salad bowl. The Brussels were crispy and salted perfectly. The banana bread to finish off was a great ending (the passionfruit butter that came with it was so so good). This location seems like it generally has availability for brunch so I'll definitely be coming back! read more
