Have I found a new favorite bar?! I've heard nothing but good things about this place, and it still exceeded my expectations. The vibe is super chill, fun, and welcoming. The concept is simple: tell the bartenders what type of liquor and flavors you enjoy, and they create a custom cocktail just for you. I think it helps to go in with a few ideas, but if you give them some creative freedom, they can really surprise you. I honestly cannot remember all the ingredients in my drinks, but I do remember loving every sip. Such a unique spot and a fun experience. Definitely small inside so you may have to wait awhile. I only wish I lived closer!

The concept and the drinks r good. But the price is indecent and needs to be reevaluated. ILL TIP YOU GOOD I PROMISE but don't bring the drinks into this

The drinks are a science! We finally made it to this spot. Pulled up at 12:30am and thought they were closed because they outside looks closed except for a guy that is standing off to the side. He walked us in and coordinated our seating so that there is no one crowding the bar. It is a small space but brilliantly managed. We ordered a Gold Rush and a Paper Plane. Our usuals! I love when a bar knows exactly what those are. The drink was so good we told the bartender to surprise us for our next few drinks. He blew us away! He made us a Beehive, Sharp shooter, Fool's errand, Mestizo Emperor penguin. I'm still dreaming about these drinks. Every single one was different and so so good! The music was great too. They were playing r&b 2000s, Beanie Man, to pop Jean Dawson. Super chill space and they close actually close at 3am. Not a minute earlier! Can't wait to come back.

Attaboy has my heart and soul, especially after crafting, curating and creating my dream drink that will live forever in the memory of my taste buds unable to be erased from my brain's footprints. Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

This place is a must try if you can get in. I suggest going as close to opening as possible and with no more than a party of 3 or 4 people. It's intimate, cool, classy, and fun. Dave took care of my date and I and we had so much fun. He made drinks we loved and he was so friendly. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible to this absolute GEM in NYC. Long live Attaboy.

This is one of the must-try bars in NY. You describe the flavor profile of the drink you want and the bartender whips up something for you. I only said I wanted something "floral" and I got the best water lily drink curated for me - never had anything like it. Others in my group asked for "something spicy", "something smoky, nutty, and creamy" and something "refreshing". We were all extremely impressed. Our bartender was Steven and he was awesome! He even chatted with us for a bit after to tell us more about attaboy. I'm rounding up to 5 stars but I will say our experience with the "bouncer" was a bit unpleasant. He called us to let us know our table was ready but we missed the call (our fault). We returned the call immediately and got there within a couple minutes anyway. We were ready to patiently wait for the next availability but were met with some attitude and unnecessary comments from him during the waiting experience. Regardless, we had a great time inside to make up for this. Highly recommend, but just be sure to make a reservation or be on alert and on time when getting off the waitlist.

Came on a Thursday and didn't have to wait that long. The vibe is so cute, we sat in a booth. Nice concept! no menu, the bartenders comes by and asks what you liked and makes a drink. I liked mine, wouldn't say I'd order it again but it was fun to try and see their concoctions. Each drink was $25.

The place really looks like an old speakeasy, the vibe was cool! The barmen was really nice and talked with us for a while. The drinks were good too!

Getting into Attaboy on a Friday will be one of my crowning 2025 achievements. That said it was a chillier evening which may have played a little into our luck. I arrived around 8:30p, put my name on a list for 2 and we were in by 9:15p. They run a smooth operation, with the host taking down names and another individual making sure seats are filled. The bar is cozy with not too many seats. We went up to the bar and were given the rundown - no menu, and you discuss what type of drink profile you were looking into. It took about 15-20 minutes. I ended up getting their take on a toreador (not sure what my friend got) but that was probably one of my top 10 cocktails I've ever had in my life. Absolutely worth the wait.

This officially broke into my top 3 cocktail bars I've EVER been to in my life. And I'm super picky with cocktails-- for the longest time, the only 2 cocktail bars that truly wowed me were Lyaness (London) and Silver Lyan (Washington DC). When I go to a cocktail bar, the most important thing I look for is: are the cocktails well balanced? Attaboy was probably one of the only cocktail bars I've been to this year the that's met this "well balanced" standard. Note: there is NO menu!!!!!! But omg how are the bartenders sooooo talented?? They literally just read your mind and make the most exquisite cocktails that you would've only dreamed of. Ambiance is very cozyyyyyy-- def a small space so plz come and put your name early!!! We were able to snag the only spot around 6:50pm on a Tuesday. - Strawberry bourbon sour: 100000000000000000000/10 (literally like the best cocktail I've ever had in my life!!?! First sip and it tasted like a super refreshing strawberry smoothie... and then you can feel the scent of bourbon creeping up on you!!! Like this is literal magic) - Elderflower cucumber gin sour: 100/10 (super refreshing yet creamy cocktail) - Penicillin: 100/10 (I heard that this bar was the birthplace of the penicillin so ofc I had to order it. And omf it was THE cocktail. Like it's strong, but you can really feel the smokiness of the cocktail when you swallow it, so it doesn't feel as strong/spirit-forward???) - Gin and sin (apricot martini): 10000/10 (as someone there trying to become a martini galll this was literally like one of the best beginner renditions of martinis I've ever been to) Literally best bar in NY and top 3 bars I've ever been to in my whole life.

One of the coolest bars to experience! Of course as all of the other reviews explain, there is no menu & you order the vibe/flavor of drink you want. They make great dessert drinks! Like raspberry chocolate or strawberry banana. The wait to get in can be long sometimes but also you can get in within 10 minutes. Nevertheless, I love it here & really cool to brag about lol!

Was recommended this speakeasy bar while I was in town for work, so decided to give it a try. I was so confused on if I arrived at the location as the entrance isn't well marked. My bf and I got there early enough that there wasn't a line, but also didn't realize we needed to wait outside for someone to bring us in. After waiting about 5 min someone happily let us in and sat us at a booth. The inside is dark and moody but beautifully done. The bartender came right over to ask our drinks and made them quickly. Note, they don't have a drink menu. You tell them what liquor you want and they create a craft cocktail to your liking. My martini was fantastic and my bf's spicy marg was made with such craftsmanship you can tell their bartenders love what they do. We stayed for another round and weren't sure what to order. I opted for another gin drink and my bf another tequila drink. After asking what flavors we were feeling (sweet, sour, Smokey etc) the bartender delivered two delicious cocktails. Both were refreshing and exactly what we wanted. I totally see why this place is highly recommended!

We were eating empanadas down the street and my husband found this spot while searching what was nearby and I'm so glad we did ! We got in luckily with no reservations and we were so happy ! We sat at the bar where all the magic happens . I love the no menu concept and just describing what flavors you like and what alcohol you're into . Mine was tequila and refreshing and it was sooo goooooooddddddd I think it was called the Chinatown rookie lol which I am indeed a rookie . I loved the dark ambiance and it's one of the top bars we've ever been too

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.
