Good vibes all around although a bit cramped on the sidewalk seating, but it's an ideal place to get a drink on a nice day. The Laban and the Strawberry & Cheese were very good, light, and refreshing. The menu seems to change so not sure how long these will stick around for, but it'd be fun to come back and try other fun cocktails.

Some of the best cocktails I've ever had in nyc. The vibe is very much clubby and not an intimate cocktail bar but it's very fun, loud, and just a great time. All the drinks we tried were great but particular standouts were the cornbread, melon cheese, and blue cheese coffee banana. Those drinks blew me away. Miso drink and ranch drinks were good but the ranch drink is similar to one at yacht club in Denver which I just love so much so it just didn't hit the spot for me. Surprisingly this bar was also not as difficult to get into compared to other bars in the area and the drinks were just amazing. Would definitely recommend this spot over other popular places nearby. Service was also great and everyone was on top of it.

Great cocktail bar with quite a few different menus depending on where you sit. Schmuck is a spot that I've heard great things about while traveling abroad. Their bar drinks are really yummy, with the Versace slipper and Tom Kha being particular standouts for me. The back room has other excellent drinks. Honestly, of the 4 drinks we tried there, they were all hitters. So good I don't even remember what I got. The service is quick, and the room gets louder and louder as the night progresses, classsic of any bar. It's a great spot for a hangout or a super casual meetup, and the bevs are excellent. If you're looking for great cocktails, this is your spot. Definitely recommend going here before they make it to the top 50 lists and have super long lines in the future.

We came here 5 mins before opening and luckily there was only one party ahead of us. We were seated promptly at the bar and they filled up quickly by the time is was half past 4. So if you don't have reservations, come before/around opening. First off, I love their Schmuck shirt! I would totally buy it if it was available for sale! The hostess and the bartenders were all super friendly and chatty! I think their bar seats are so much better than the tables - you can look at the bartenders create magic and chat around with the staff and other patrons. The drink menu is pretty creative and inspired by elements from Thai cuisine to Christmas cheer. On their menu, you will find everything from spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, fruits like bananas and granny smiths, cheeses like brie and blue cheese, to oils like olive and chili oil. We got the Larb Gai, Gingerbread Ramos, Corny Jalapeno Egg Nog and BBL Brie - each drink was made with perfection and packed a punch! I have been to many cocktail bars in NYC and they surely are one of the best for sure.

Easily in one of my top 5 favorites for bars. The concept is so unique and they nail each and every single drink. At first glance the hodgepodge of ingredients on the menu descriptions may sound concerning - but it's likely if you enjoy the flavor profile of the food they're trying to recreate you'll enjoy the drink as well (granted it's your liquor of choice). We got the following: Larb gai: spicy peanut butter flavor Bread and tomatoes: definitely can be an acquired taste and would only order if you love all forms of tomato. Looks like murky water tastes like a lightly cooked tomato that was squeezed. Hot buttered caramelized apple: warm, and cozy sweet treat The music here is really good too. It's pretty packed even on weekdays so I recommend a reservation, we got lucky without one.

Friends recommended Shmuck as a must stop while out for drinks in the city and so we did exactly that! Waited about 30 minutes for a table for 4 (I don't know if they accept reservations) and the line was getting longer once we got in we could see why! The area is very cozy, some sections offer couch like seating as well. And the menu selection is so intriguing. Server was really sweet and pointed out recommendations based on the flavor palettes we preferred. Out of the drinks ordered, least favorite were the Pina Colada Pickleback and Bread & Tomatoes. Definitely an acquired taste. Not sure if I'd come back again but definitely a fun stop throughout the day!

One of the easiest 5s I could give and a new favorite. Double chicken please long waits - they don't have time limits, so we were told an hour, but ended up being 1.5-2hours in 35deg weather But goddamn, when I tell you the people who work here are the sweetest people at a bar we've met. The guy at the door is friendly and homie is just trying to do the best he can while people come up every 5min. He was super sweet and easy to yap w though. Vibe inside is very lowkey and upbeat. The hostess inside also felt bad we were waiting forever and then to top it off our waiter was also so friendly and then we met the owner who we found out her and her husband are from france/Sweden (interior checks out) !! She was so sweet and asking us how we liked our drinks since they released 2 new seasonal ones. Also told her my manager doesn't believe french ppl can make cocktails so will be reccing this spot and proving him wrong ‍ok they're also friends w the dcp owners so if that doesn't convince u enough here's the actual drinks. - pina colada pickleback: a pickleback is a pickleback at the end of the day - buttered hot apple cider: comes w a cookie and is actually buttered it comes out warm + no alc tate - Larb gai: fluffy, light, fruity, tastes like a candied passion fruit cocktail. Can't go wrong - Gingerbread: yummy and foamy!! Comes w gingerbread cookie. Gingerbread flavor isn't strong imo but it is lightly there. - bread and tomato: tastes exactly like that. Comes w a tomato

Was in NYC for my birthday and was craving a good cocktail after dinner. We noticed schmuck was nearby so we walked over. We were with our 2 young kids/babies so we were almost sure we would be turned away, BUT they happily accommodated. One cocktail turned into several, and the cool bartenders even offered my babies snacks on the house + virgin shots. Our first bar experience/"shot" together came a lot sooner than I expected lol. Thanks for making my bday extra special. ILY shmuck!!!

The magic of Schmuck. lies in the ability to take what sounds like a food menu and - voila! - turning it into a drink menu. We tried a bunch of different drinks on the menu. These were the standouts: -Ranch Water (tequila, ranch, celery, seltzer): Tequila, vegetal, creamy, soda, tajin/smoked paprika: This is a cute play on the typical ranch water cocktail, which does not, as we know, actually incorporate any ranch flavor. Despite being a unique drink, this has familiar overtones, maybe loosely being in the same family as a bloody Maria or a dirty martini with blue cheese olives. It's vegetal, tastes kind of creamy but is still refreshing, and has a smoked paprika-tasting rim. I really liked this one. -Strawberry and cheese (tequila, juiced strawberries, Parmesan cheese): delicious, a real crowd-pleaser. The freshly juiced strawberry was incredible and the cheese added a creamy, savory depth of flavor. -Melon cheese and pepper (gin, dry vermouth, cantaloupe, and mozzarella cheese foam): I didn't order this one, but tried a sip and enjoyed it. It reminded me of a melon y jamon tapa. They primarily take walk-ins, though a limited number of reservations are available. On a recent Saturday night, the right-side line (if facing the restaurant) seemed to be reservations and the left side was walk-ins. We came kinda early, around 8:45, and only had to wait around 15 minutes, which was about the amount of time we were quoted. It was raining a bit, though, which might've impacted the number of people willing to wait in line. The bar has two different rooms, the main one that you walk into first and a second one kinda behind and to the left of the bar, and apparently they have almost completely different drink menus! The drinks I mentioned were ordered in the back room.

I loved the creative drinks and fun, hip vibes here. The wait was horrendous. We put our name down and had dinner next door and still had to wait another 45 minutes on a weekday around 8pm. They make you line up outside (10-15 min wait) to even put your name on the waitlist with the host who is stationed inside. I did see her help buss some tables, so maybe they were just short that night. We got seated in the front room. Love love love the interior. Our server was very accommodating.

Walked in at 5 PM on a Thursday and there was no wait. I tried: + Le petit fizz + Larb gai + Caramelized apple + Pina colada pickleback + Pear and cheese + Crushed potatoes + Puff pastry Le petit fizz had a perfect passionfruit flavor; they lost me with the carbonation, but if that's your thing you'll love it. The Larb Gai was my favorite drink that I tried. It was like pad Thai - in a good way. Both this drink and the Pear and Cheese reminded me of the "food drink" schtick at DCP or Sip & Guzzle. I was on the fence about the pina colada pickleback and ultimately it was not for me, but the server let me get a different drink (pear and cheese) which I really appreciated. The pear and cheese was simple and tasty. Food was solid - the puff pastry was the best of the two dishes I tried. Also they need to turn up the AC in the back because it was sweltering.

My friend and I walked in on a Sunday night. There's always a long line outside when I walk by so I was happy we were able to just walk in. We were seated at the bar. Inside is a fun vibe! It was retro/loungey inside from the leather couches to lighting fixtures. My friend and I got: - peaches and crème: this is something you eat rather than sip so it came with a wooden spoon. I enjoyed it, it really was more of a dessert - schmuck martini: they changed my friend's glass multiple times Service was great!! Everyone was super attentive and friendly. I would come back again but wouldn't wait in a line if I had to.

This bar has been on my list for a whileeeee but it was always impossible to get reservations. We decided to walk on a Thursday evening and we were able to get seated in the side wing location (?). Service was AMAZING! Shout out to the bouncer-- he was incredible. Also the bartenders and staff were superrrr friendly. Ambiance was veryyy hip and chic. It does get loud though, so not the best place to come to have a deep convo. Cocktails were honestly... a bit of a let down. We basically ordered like one of everything on the menu, and though they were overall yummy, we thought that the cocktails were veryyyyy weak!!! - Le Banane: 10/10 (I liked this one a lot! It really tasted like bananas but it was one of the stronger cocktails on the menu + loved how it isn't a creamy style cocktail) - Strawberry and cheese: 8/10 (strawberry and cheese... what can I say!) - Muesli: 8/10 (it was almost like cereal milk + tonssss of ice) - Melon cheese and pepper: 7/10 (interesting... had an interesting pepper kick) - Martini tonic: 5/10 (kinda wish there was a normal martini on the menu! The tonic watered down the flavor too much)

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

Tucked into the Financial District, this spot blends old New York history with some of the best cocktails in the city--and it's easy to see why it's been named "World's Best Bar" more than once. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Drinks are the real highlight here. The Irish Coffee is widely considered one of the best in the world--rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with whiskey, coffee, and fresh cream. They also get creative with variations like a frozen version and even an Irish Coffee martini. If you want something different, the "Act Naturally" is a standout, mixing Irish whiskey with Guinness and fig in a way that works. Food is just as impressive for a bar. I wanted to treat an old friend to a quick birthday toast before a show she was attending nearby. Later that night, another friend became available to join but, because they do not actually have a phone that takes calls (only offers an announcement to go to Resy or email) adding another person was not at all easy. I would have had to cancel and rebook and wasn't sure I'd be able to (reservation was for a Saturday night) In most places, a table for 3 easily accommodates 4. But not here. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing. It was good to see my friends, but I so wish I hadn't picked this place. Never again.
