An absolute Pearl in New York. I am utterly obsessed with Pearl Box. Clearly the aesthetic is everything. I have never seen such a beautiful curation of a bar. The details here are beyond. The menus are so beautiful. Everyone who works there is so beyond kind and attentive. I cannot believe how delish their cocktails are. The love and appreciation I have for this place is endless. I will be endlessly thinking about my return.

Came for some drinks and didn't expect from the food, but it was very good!! Would recommend!!

Such a cool spot!! it's three stories with different levels. The Photo Booth is on the second level. The service was great. The trio handroll set was amazing must order!!! The candy was solid nothing special, but it comes in a cool case. Drinks were great. Got their similar version to a porn star martini and it was amazing. Great atmosphere. Good for drinks and small bites.

Such a cute bar with gorgeous red interior and each floor has its own vibe. Ordered drinks, popcorn chicken, fries and the candy box! They also have a photobooth as well!

This intimate speakeasy can be the start to your evening or a mellow nightcap. The service I received was great, my waiter was so pleasant. Thank you for my birthday rosé & candy dish. Small plates, drinks and disco music with retro style decor. I tried the popcorn chicken and fries (so yum) along with a cherry Americano. Make sure to RSVP.

Pearl Box was one of the most unique dining experiences I have been too. The restaurant is cozy - speak easy feel. It was a great vibe for wanting to go out with my girlfriends to catch up and chat. The food menu was admittedly small and was small plates to share over actual meals. This was fine with me, as I like to try a bunch of different things on a menu. The drink menu was vast, with the menu book being themed like a Playboy Magazine. I had a classic dirty martini, which was delicious. The caviar service really stood out, and was presented beautifully. The waiter was extremely helpful in picking which service and which caviar would be best for our table. We ended the night with the classic candy box, which is filled with classic gummy candy and seems like "the thing they are known for" when you stop in. Overall, the service was the only thing I would complain about. The food and drinks took extremely long to come out. Additionally our server did not stop by our table to check in as much as I would have liked her too, especially with everything taking so long. If you plan to come here, I would just plan for a long experience. Otherwise, food and drink were great.

Whimsical speakeasy vibe bar with well thought out drinks, great for groups and girls nights, cute photo ops and mood lighting

Such a cool spot to meet with some girl friends and catch up. It's a small cozy intimate vibe and the all red is sexy. I didn't try any food but the drinks were good and I love the candy box. Service is good too. It's perfect before a night out would go back!

I don't know where to begin. I came for my daycation and I had this as my last stop of the night before heading back to amtrack! What a great send off. First off... the decor is just spot on. It's so chic and rich in color and vibes. I love the sound selections and everything about what I laid my eyes upon. I had two cocktails (their happy hour is great for the price) and treated myself to French fries and caviar!!! Did some caviar bumps with my server since I was dining solo and really just had a great time. The food and service was lovely as well!!! Definitely worth the hype it receives on TikTok.

*Pearl Box is located above Heroes restaurant and is only accessible via climbing 3 flights of stairs. It is not ADA accessible* Had a reservation for a Saturday night. We showed up on time and were taken upstairs. The hosts were all friendly. The space is not big at all. Maybe 10-15 tables that seat 2-4 people. We were sitting on a small couch near the front. It was a comfortable couch! The space is gorgeously decorated in a 70s vibe. Music playing with a mix of old and new. Wish they played more disco. Service was attentive. The only downside was their lack of vegetarian options on the menu. Both my friend and I are veg and the only two things we could order were the bowl of candy and a bowl of potato chips. Both were very good however! The drink menu is pretty interesting. I had a drink called a Floradora which was botanical and made of gin. My friend had a Sazerac. They were not the best drinks I've had but not the worst either. There's a bathroom upstairs that's decorated with 70s playgirl and playboy magazine covers which was fun. After 90 minutes, we were asked to leave so they could seat the next reservation. This was fine with us because we were done after our one drink and snacks. I'd be inclined to stay longer if I had more food to snack on. The sound level wasn't loud and overall, this was a pretty nice, chill environment even on a Saturday evening. Would go back and really hope they add more veggie options to the menu. There is apparently a $45 per person minimum but we did not meet it and were not asked to either. Maybe because there was not much for us to order as vegetarians.

Angel is the BEST every drink has been amazing. He is constantly checking in and making sure what he made it to my accommodations!!!!

Very chill vibes. Drinks are amazing along with the staff. Bartender Angle was 10/10.

we had a resy and 2 bigger parties were able to enter before us. candy was indeed not in a candy box but was charged the same. thus, half the candy was stale and came late since we had to ask where it was. asked if we could take pics upstairs (iconic stairs!) and they said no. drinks and food were mid but concept was cute.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.

It was on a weekday, the day of NBA Finals Game 3 when everyone else were at bars & lounges getting ready for the game to start. This afforded us a beautiful and tranquil experience at Osamil Upstairs. Hidden behind a locked door inside Osamil, it's a spot you have to seek out to get in. After we shared we were going to Osamil Upstairs, the hostess from Osamil promptly unlocked the unmarked door for us to head upstairs to Osamil Upstairs. Had other customers not come out as we were walking up the stairs, we might have passed the entrance to Osamil Upstairs and continued upward! Much like what you might expect of a speakeasy, it's well-hidden, and the interior just blows the mind. It's elegant, beautiful, and comfortable. The drinks were good. My cheese in the trap was smokey (as promised!) and alcohol forward. My hubby had the Jung cocktail and it had the most magical, delicious combination of flavors! We also ordered a foie gras with toast appetizer as a pre-dinner snack; it was OK. All in all, a really pleasant experience and we'd return if we were in the area again!
