It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

An absolute gem in South Park Slope!…read more We happened to be staying at a friend's place a few blocks away and was looking for something open on the later side with great food. We searched Yelp and came across Konoba Yakitori, and it absolutely hit the spot. My daughter and I loved our entire experience--everything from the food to the local neighborhood vibe to the incredibly friendly, attentive staff. Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection, and reasonably priced. We had the gyoza, edamame, Hamachi Lover, Ebi Shu Mai, and the $15 Beef Set (three beef skewers), accompanied by hot tea and Ramune. The beef skewers were a highlight--tender meat with seasoning that was spot-on. Warm, welcoming, prompt, and super efficient. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, and our waiter was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. Top-tier service all around. The space is small and cozy with a simple, comfortable design. Seating is a bit tight and close to neighboring tables, but there's nothing wrong with being snug, rght? It gets busy, but customers tend to eat quickly, so even without reservations, the wait moves well. Most importantly, despite it being a intimate spot, we never felt rushed at all. It's simple, which is what makes it amazing. An incredible restaurant all around--I love this place and can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

Reservations become available 14 days in advance on Resy, so I'd highly recommend booking early to secure a table during normal eating hours. Sadly, since it was just the two of us, we couldn't sample as much of the menu as we wanted. Our server recommended a hot appetizer and a fancier option from their Summer Special menu: KARAAGE - 14 Each order came with five thick pieces of chicken karaage. The chicken arrived hot and juicy, seasoned well enough to be enjoyed on its own or dipped in the side of shichimi mayo. This was a great appetizer to share, and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a reliable classic. TEMAKI SET - 95 Served in roughly an 8"x8" wooden box, this set was lavishly topped toro, Hokkaido uni, ikura, and possibly Iberian ham, with crispt nori sheets on the side to make DIY handrolls. After scooping a bit of everything into a little wrap, I was greeted with the most intense, fresh sea flavors. The toro and Iberian ham were fatty and buttery, blending seamlessly with the velvety smooth uni and the fresh, bursting pops of ikura. I had to pause after every bite just to deeply savor it, and I lost count of how many times I said, "Wow, this is so good." Since I don't live in NYC, I generally avoid repeating restaurants even if I enjoyed them. However, Ozakaya is an exception to this rule -- it's easily one of the best meals I've eaten during all my recent visits. I don't know where they source their seafood, but it's incredibly fresh and packed with umami. Even days after, I'm still thinking about the velvety sweetness of that uni, and I can't wait for my next visit.

You press the red button when you need to order or service. They also have tables for groups, so it's great whether you're coming alone or with family and friends. I ordered the Honeycomb Platter, which came with a variety of appetizers like shrimp tempura, popcorn chicken, and tofu. I got the Yin Yang Ramen which was very good. I am picky with ramen because sometimes I feel like the broth doesn't have flavor but their ramen was tasty and flavorful. For dessert I tried the matcha pudding with red beans and fresh milk. It had a unique taste but I recommend this for matcha lover. It was a nice spot, good food, and great service.

First: got combo B which was the perfect amount for 2 people since it included an appetizer, 2 ramens, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Left very filled and happy. Would highly recommend their lemonade and Thai tea! The popcorn chicken is more batter than chicken, so it's good if you like more of a crunch. The tonkotsu and miso ramens were good, but not particularly notable. Kyuramen is a chain after all, so the food quality gives that same vibe as comforting when you're just craving some. Second: Got the yakitori platter, beef ramen (seasonal) and curry ramen and I'd personally pass on all of them. Their meats are over cooked which makes them tough. Both times the service was fine, I appreciate the call button so both don't have to wait for awkward timing issues. I do like the aesthetic of the place, especially with the privacy of the room shades/dividers. p.s. don't forget their slurp and win program! When you drink all the broth, there's a word on the bottom (or not) where you can get a free popcorn chicken/drink/etc for your next visit. I thought the chances would be pretty slim, but I got a drink voucher my second time!

The inside is sleek, cozy, and medium lighting. Service (5/5): No issues with service since the restaurant was still fairly empty. Waitress was patient when we asked a slew of questions and her suggestions. Happy hour drinks were priced at $6 from 5:30p-7p with some tapas also at $5-7. Chicken dumpling (3/5) Red version: It was unique to find kernels of corn in the dumpling! I enjoyed the vinegar/soy sauce and chili oil. Next time, I would have liked to try the brown. Overall, there wasn't anything special about the steamed dumplings. Iron Men (3/5): I was disappointed since reviewers said that the broth would be very rich but it did not have much flavor to me even after using their house chili sauce (+$2). I definitely tasted the Iberian pork undertones but overall, I thought it was watery and didn't have much flavor without the chili. The poached egg was perfect. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy. I thought the 2 slices of pork were thin but tender, also more lean and not fatty (not as ideal so did not melt in your mouth). Expensive for a bowl with little meat ($23). I did not use the miso paste as I did not love the aftertaste, which admittedly could be why the broth lacked flavor to me! Nagoya Miso Katsu-Don (N/A): I tried a little of the dish. I thought the pork was very crunchy and had a great taste. Boyfriend said the dish was nothing special.

The amount of noodles is decent and the toppings are pretty good the egg actually come with both half's rather than one like some places so that's good, my only gripe is that the cha siu isn't heated through after being served which tells me that they didn't torch it for long enough before serving. That usually also makes it less tender as the middle is still a little coagulated from being chilled prior. I would also assume that chicken broth is less calorie dense than pork so I also felt less guilty drinking it all. The staff is friendly and quick enough with the service and they also have rotation test menu items which is nice but there's a few items on their regular menu they are always out of like their oyster pancake
