The key components of an amazing restaurant are: Great hospitality Breathtaking ambiance Excellent serving staff Amazing chef Fantastic cocktails Unique and flavorful starters, entrees, and desserts This perfectly described our experience at Terina. There are no words to express how vibrant and chic this place is. It's like bringing the City to Brooklyn. Dare I say it added some 5th Ave flare with the gold accents, florals wall on the lower level, breathtaking artwork, and touch of velvet in the decor. The designers knew just how to capture our eyes upon walk in. Next, shoutout to the hostess for warmly greeting us upon arrival Our waiter Luis was a gem! Personality and culinary knowledge paired together to provide the most quality service I've had in a long time. The team supporting Luis was also good but Luis was the star! A huge shoutout to Sal, the co-owner for coming over to greet guests and making our table feel welcomed. He even provided us with a celebratory toast at the end, perfect way to conclude a magical night. Let's get into everything from start to finished, kept reading for genuine reviews! Drinks: I ordered the Terina Basil which was absolutely refreshing! Perfect balance of vodka, St. Germaine, citrus, and basil and probably something that I'd order again! It was a great springtime/summer drink. My party ordered various drinks and there were no complaints at all: French 75, maple old-fashioned, testa rossa, and mocktail for my mom. No complaints around the table, we loved everything! Starters: My boyfriend ordered a few starters: Grilled baby lamb chops: succulent and mouthwatering! My goodness! The lamb chops were perfectly grilled and oozing with flavor. Calamari Fritti: Chef, please report to the front because this was masterful! The balance of flavors, particularly the peppers and savory taste from the calamari were blended together beautifully. The cook on the calamari was perfecto! Not too chewy and not fried hard, it was just right! Burrata Pistachio: dare I say that this is the BEST burrata I've had. And no, it's not the traditional burrata that we're used to. Chef, once again defied the standard and took this starter over the top. There was some sweetness to the dish that I cannot explain but know that the entire thing made a believer out of some of my family members who haven't had it before. Whew! This was sooooooo good After being blown away by the starters here comes the entrees, buckle up: I ordered the Braised Short rib: EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! The char on the broccolini was perfect! Making it lightly sautéed with a bit of crunch. The truffle cauliflower mashed potatoes was sinfully good. And the gravy from the short rib gently trickled onto the plate adding to this beautiful dish. The preparation for the braised short rib is something that every restaurant cannot do but Chef once again defied the odds and perfectly prepared it. I left the table in love thinking about my next visit lol My boyfriend ordered the special: Miso Glaze Halibut, which was DELICIOUS! And again, the rest of my party said that their food was soooooo good! Truffle short rib paccheri, surf and turf (not on menu but prepared at request by my mom). All of the dishes were a hit. Well, I'm coming to the end of this flavor fest: Desserts can make or break a place but honey these desserts simply placed the icing on top! I ordered the Apple cider zeppoles-FANTASTIC!!! My party ordered: Amarena Cherry Cheesecake and Chocolate Mousse-once again, everyone loved their selections. Fine dining at its best and that's a rare find! Count me in to support this place the next time we're in town. It was worth every moment!

Had a great dinner at Terina. The appetizers were all really solid especially the scallops dish, the endive salad that came plated like a little boat, and the lamb chops were cooked just right. For my main, I ordered the rabbit scarpariello, which was flavorful and different from the usual menu options. Some of my friends got the branzino and others had the steak, and everyone seemed really happy with their meals. Couldn't remember all the dish names but it was delicious. They had live music as well which we sang too. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner with great presentation and a nice atmosphere.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and I cannot recommend enough. There was a small wait despite having a reservation so we got a drink at the bar. There's a very diverse wine list and cocktail menu, the apple cider sangria was delightful. For entrees we got the angry lobster pasta and the short rib. The short rib was so tender it fell off the fork and the pasta was so fresh.

Absolutely exceptional new restaurant. The service was spectacular, and genuinely warm, like family. The food was amazing and I honestly felt like I was eating a home cooked meal at my grandmother's table . We loved environment and decor. It's definitely our new favorite place!!!

Modern and chic but casual vibe. Came on a friday evening and managed to walk in for a table of 2. Terina scallops are nice although with a small portion. The Truffle short rib paccheri amazed me - it is probably one of the best short rib pasta I had, super flavorful with incredible juiciness and tenderness. The pork chop arrabbiata comparatively wasn't so impressive but still a great entree. I recall some of the daily specials sounded really tasty too like a lamb chop with an espresso rub and a cherry chocolate sauce. The drinks menu is quite extensive to pair the dishes your own way too. Definitely want to visit again the next time I am in the area.

From the decor, ambiance, service of the waitstaff, how the waitstaff dresses & presents themselves - it's a restaurant that Brooklyn needed. Terina exudes a sense of upscale old school Italian without having to go into Manhattan. Don't even get me started on the food. Mouth watering, seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. Anything you order on the menu will be worth it.

My favorite spot in Bay ridge Brooklyn, has been reinvented! Us Staten islanders need to flock there. This restaurant is located at the old Areos iykyk and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent. From the moment we walked in I knew it would be a great experience! We had reservations that were honored. We were brought downstairs to a private dining room. It had a speakeasy vibe. But it was quiet. If you are looking for an intimate experience then request the downstairs..A little disappointed we weren't in the main dining room. Spoke to the owner Sal, he said to state it on the reservation. We will definitely be back. Food was very good. There is valet parking which helped. Overall we would recommend this restaurant.

As soon as we stepped inside, the ambiance was absolutely gorgeous, warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion. The service was incredible from start to finish. The staff was very attentive, making sure everything we needed was taken care of with a smile. We came here to celebrate a very special birthday, and Terina truly made the evening unforgettable. The food was nothing short of amazing everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I was so pleased to even take some leftovers home and enjoy it all over again! The location is great, not too far from me, which makes it even more convenient to visit. I must say, I can't recommend this place enough. I honestly can't wait to return for a girls' night dinner. Terina is the perfect mix of beautiful ambiance, exceptional service, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

Dining at Terina was an unforgettable experience. The moment we walked in, we were struck by how beautifully the place was decorated, stylish, warm, and inviting. Every detail in the ambiance was thoughtfully curated, making it a perfect setting for a special evening. The highlight of our night, beyond the delicious dinner, was the pleasure of meeting the chef and owner. Their passion and hospitality truly shined and added such a personal, memorable touch to our experience--it was the cherry on top. The service was just as impressive. The servers were professional, attentive, and always on point, which made the evening flow seamlessly. I can't recommend Terina enough--exceptional food, outstanding service, and a beautifully crafted atmosphere. Will definitely be returning! We had 4 appetizers, Mac n Cheese side, and 2 Entrees Pork Chop and Veal, and Dessert. I could not take a picture because I was busy stuffing my face.

Francesco made our night! He was attentive and professional but also warm and welcoming. Really terrific. The food is outstanding! We had trouble choosing from among so many options but Francesco was a great guide. We'll definitely be back. Try the testarossa!

My fiancé and I visited Terina on a Thursday night. We had an 8:30pm reservation and were seated right away. To our surprise there was live music in the restaurant that night, which we loved. We tried the cacio e pepe mozzarella carrozza and calamari fritti for appetizers. We loved the sauce that the mozzarella carrozza was platted on top of and the tender crispy calamari was delicious but on the spicy side for us. For our main course we had the deconstructed bees Wellington and the spicy vodka pasta and loved both of these dishes! This is a great date night or special occasion spot.

No snickering. This is largely because of the sweet customer service. A three star review for more…read morelike two star quality. It is not saying much for a city that really lacks in Mexican cuisine. To say I did not give this restaurant a fair shake is like saying I only went to an ice cream shop and only ordered the cone. I went all out there, which is maybe why I received the service I received, or maybe it is because I sat next to what appeared to be my server's children. Whatever the case, I was treated well here. Onto the food. The Sopa Azteca (their tortilla soup) is a nice change from what I had at a previous Mexican restaurant. I would like the portion to be bigger and more meat in it, but I like the Mexican spices and the variety here. It is quite enjoyable. The Queso Fundido should be called a Queso No Divertido. It was awful to eat, with lousy flavor and texture. This is the second time I have struck out with this appetizer. It is safe to say I am done ordering it in this city. Nobody does it right. The Paella is nice, but at its core has the essence of a nice dish. Some parts are full of tremendous flavor, and some parts are dry and bland. I ate this all out of necessity, and also because once I mixed the bland with the good it actually turned into something quite pleasant. The chicken enchiladas I ordered because it would not be fair to come here and pass up something Tex-Mex as an entree. The chicken is inconsistent, well cooked in some spots, dry in others. The salsa verde has a lot of kick here, but the side salad and charro beans nearly ruin the whole thing. At least the Mexican rice is fluffy and has great flavor. Speaking Spanish to the staff helped curry points in the service department. I like family owned businesses. Everybody was busy and on point. So what if the food does not wow, I have given more, for less. Hence why this is a three star review and not a two star review.

Every visit feels like catching up with an old friend who knows exactly how you like your salsa. That consistency is as comforting as it is rare in the city that never sleeps. Before we even flipped open the menu, they slid over complimentary chips and pico de gallo that set the bar impossibly high. The pico was bursting with bright, tangy tomatoes and cilantro, and those homemade chips were the perfect balance of crisp and salty. It was the kind of welcome that makes you cancel your other dinner plans on the spot. I went for the Taco de Birria made with brisket, and I swear the richest consomé I've ever tasted lived up to its name. Each taco got dunked into that deep, savory broth, then inhaled faster than a greased pig at a county fair. By taco number three, I was pretty sure I'd found my soulmate in molten cheese and slow-cooked meat form. 'The Man' ordered the Chicken Mole, which came with a generous scoop of rice and beans on the side. He sat back, took that first bite, and basically entered a state of pure food-induced bliss. Watching him lose track of time as he devoured every last drop of mole was its own kind of entertainment. We washed it all down with a Piña Margarita, along with another cocktail that leaned so hard into the tequila you could almost feel the agave fields. Add a Modelo on the side and you've got a drinks menu that doesn't play around. These aren't dainty sips--they're the kind that could very reasonably put hair on your chest. Service here is so personalized it's almost telepathic. We never waited more than a second for a refill or a check, and the staff felt like an invisible waitress on standby, ready to swoop in the moment we so much as blinked. We left a hefty tip without hesitation because they earned every penny. Las Margaritas on 3rd and 92nd isn't just our go-to--it's a staple. Whether we're craving tacos at home in our pajamas or settling in for a full sit-down dinner, we know they'll deliver every single time. Consider us regulars for life.

As for the food taste - disappointed!! order the fried chicken - tender but soggy not crunchy or crispy. service - once u are seated it is hard to find them. they will not come by and see if we need anything else. i really didnt want to tip them. but i still did.

Overdue post: Came here on a Saturday night at around 8pm…read moreback in April for drinks after dinner with a friend. The bar had a table in the front two corner with around 5 chairs per table and a table for maybe 2-3 people in front of the dj/karaoke setup. It happened to be karaoke night. Also, noone was sitting at the bar area at the time. There's also just one bathroom in the back of the bar. Since we just had dinner, we only ordered drinks. As always, we ordered 2 long islands. The drinks were lite at first, so it didn't feel as if there's much alcohol in them, but it hits later. Overall not a bad drink for the cost. I believe it was $12 per drink. Of course one drink isn't enough so we decided to get another drink similar to a long island but has blue curacao. We showed the server/bartender a picture of it and they said they could make it. We've never had the drink before so I can't compare it to other places. The drink was pretty good, but we still prefer the long islands more. Not that the drink didn't have enough alcohol though. Moving onto the vibes of the bar... it's very different from city vibes. It may be that my friend and I were the youngest ones there and everyone else were much older. Kudos to the singers though, they had such good lungs to assist with their singing. They were very much in tune and on beat. Would I come here again? Yes. But maybe not on karaoke night, since it was really difficult to hear my friend speak and have a conversation without asking him to repeat himself.
