Birthday Dinner Turned Health-Code Horror! I ordered from Sea Pearl (also listed on Grubhub/Seamless under the name-"TASTE MEDITERRANEAN" ) for my BIRTHDAY after an absolutely brutal year. I wanted to treat myself to something warm, luxurious and comforting. The menu sounded perfect. What actually arrived was a complete nightmare! Since the winter 2025 started unusually early in NYC, I went with their "homemade" mushroom soup 1st, which was advertised as rich and comforting- "Wild mushroom soup with Porcini, Shiitake & White mushrooms served with sour cream. Price-$11.95" In reality it was inedibly salty - so salty that even adding a lot of sour cream couldn't save it. The dried mushrooms they brag about were leathery and impossible to chew, floating in a strange slimy broth that turned my stomach. Next was the bone marrow. This should have been the star of the meal-"Bone Marrow- Roasted delicacy served with toasted bread and homemade sauce. Price-$24.95" Instead, the bones were completely dried out with almost NO marrow inside. The tiny bit of marrow I could scrape out was, again, insanely salty. It came with rock-hard, burnt black toast that was so stale I nearly chipped a tooth trying to bite into it. For the main course I ordered the lobster polenta with "seafood sauce." The menu promised comfort and luxury-"Lobster Polenta $25.95 Loster meat with seafood sauce & truffle" What I got was a bowl of over-salted pinkish cream with no seafood or truffles at all! There were a few tiny, tough, rubbery pieces of lobster that were IMPOSSIBLE to chew. No balance, no flavor - just salt. AND THEN CAME THE WORST PART!!! As I was unpacking the delivery bag, a HUGE LARGE LIVE COCKROACH crawled out of the restaurant's branded paper bag and ran into my kitchen. I was shocked, mortified but still managed yo take a picture (attached) but I failed to catch and destroy the disgusting, bacteria ridden insect and now I'm extremely worried about an infestation in my apartment, paying large sums for professional extermination services on top of having to throw away a very expensive, inedible meal and spending HOURS sanitizing and cleaning my kitchen instead of enjoying allegedly "luxurious" BIRTHDAY dinner! For the prices they charge, this is beyond unacceptable. The food was disgusting and basically uneatable, and the presence of a LIVE ROACH in the delivery bag is a SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD!!! This is not a "minor issue" - this is the kind of thing that should get the attention of the NYC HEALTH & SANITATION DEPARTMENT ASAP!!! Shame on this restaurant for serving such low-quality food and for such filthy conditions that a cockroach can come out of a customer's delivery bag. If you care about your health - and if you don't want roaches introduced into your home - do not order from this place‼ read more

When you will make a reservation please ask to be seated in the dining room ! We did not know that you need to be specific and we got a table in the terrace , so to go dance we needed to walk through kind of tunnel ( in this cold weather) to be on the mail dining room . Of course we only ate there and we went to a different place for dancing . We've ordered Ahi tuna( was good) and lamb dumplings( it had that lamb smell so I could not eat it) our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly . It was 50/50 experience . May be if we were seated inside the dining room we liked it more . Gratuity was included in the bill read more

Please don't waste your time with this place: 1. Very limited menu- menu placed outside has much larger selection- and lower prices (!) 2. Food quality is below average 3. Very bad service- slow, not attentive, but they don't forget to add 18% plus credit card penalty. 4. Restaurant, lounge, nightclub, all in one. It is pricey for Emmons Avenue, but I am not surprised given the location and the cuisine. The cuisine is seafood mixed in with Eastern European cuisine, with a bit of New York flair, particularly Brooklyn. The portions are generous, the food is tasty. They serve breakfast but really you can eat the food for all times of the day. My only negative is the lack of wait staff. Someone always had to be flagged down to get our attention. I would recommend again, but maybe try for dinner. read more

The food was fresh , flavorful and delicious . The service was comfortable . Our waiter was available whenever we needed anything and anticipated what we may need . The ambiance was nice/relaxing . We dined during the day . At night it's more of an evening spot with live entertainment . I recently visited Sea Pearl Restaurant on Emmons ave with my friend. This is a really nice place for a night out. The service was good and waiters kept coming up and asking whether we liked everything. It was nice, and in general, the atmosphere was very pleasant. While we waited for our order, we were able to enjoy live singing, music. I ordered fish - royal dorado. The dish was prepared well but it's was lacked of taste. That's why I'll only give 4 stars. read more

This review is over due. I was at a party there recently and it was amazing! The food service ambience everything was perfect! Made you feel like you were in the old school Russian restaurants in the 80s and 90s. The food was excellent and so plentiful and the singers got everyone excited to dance. Please don't change! We booked Sea Pearl for a party. When we came to book it during daytime, it looked cozy and spacious. When came for the party, I was unpleasantly surprised to see that they have overloaded the space with tables. Everyone was literally sitting on top of each other. The food was good; however, the waiters were overwhelmed, serving so many people. Also, when they brought certain food out, they put one piece on each person's place and then took the platter away, instead of leaving it at the table, in case people wanted more, or people were dancing and could not tell the waiter they wanted it. I had several people come and mention to me that they never got certain things. The music was good, but their sound engineering is terrible, and the dance floor is very small for the amount of people stuffed into the space. I was hoping to find our next place for family parties now that Signature has gone downhill and then closed, but alas, this is not it. read more

The lunch special was excellent. The food was delicious and the price was extremely reasonable. We had 6 people at lunch and everyone loved their meal. Be careful if you order soda - it cost $5.50 for a 6 oz bottle of Diet Coke. Also they charged $5.00 for bread on the table. The meats were very flavorful and tender. The portions were nice sized. The lunch special had lots of choices. Next time when we come back we will know that. We are definitely coming back because this was a wonderful lunch experience. read more
