This review is long overdue! A few weeks ago, while attending Kingsborough Community College, I had a craving for steak and discovered Wow Bistro as the closest spot that caught my interest. Instead of studying in the campus library, I decided to do my homework here, and it turned out to be quite the experience--who needs a library when you can dive into a ribeye steak while working? Haha! The atmosphere was very relaxing, making it easy to focus on my studies while enjoying my meal. I ordered the ribeye steak, and though I can't remember the name of the side dish, it had an incredible texture--something with potatoes that was absolutely delicious. I can only speak for delivery through Grub Hub, but this is delicious! I ordered a combo platter, and I enjoyed every bite. Pork shish and grilled chicken thigh were well seasoned and tender. Marinated mushrooms = heaven. It had this delicious olive-vinegar flavor, and I could prob eat a whole quart of those alone. Home style potatoes were crispy and held up through delivery. Rice was light and buttery. Reasonably priced and well packaged! Definitely give WOW a try. read more

Let me start by saying that their customer service is top notch! Their delivery driver, a sweetheart, who delivered right on time. I love their variety of breakfast foods, as well as lunch/dinner. It is humongous and eating 2 pieces and some fries is so filling - all for like 13 bucks. Hubby got the chicken schnitzel, which was another hefty portion with mashed potatoes. Since covid-19 quarantine started i know how hard is for food businesses to survive. I decided to Order delivery frim local restaurant WOW CAFE!: I ordered Cheeseburger, (medium well) without Onions, because i have allergies. On the side I choose sweet potato fries! But my burger's patty (meat) was raw! I couldn't eat it and tossed to garbage! Also They put onions inside And instead of sweet potatoes fries they put regular French fries! Nice little spot about a mile from the Sheepshead strip. Food was decent. Waiter worked the entire restaurant by himself; no easy feat Kudos to Slava. He was polite and very professional. Calamari had absolutely no seasoning. Seafood pasta was ok. Branzino fish and mashed were really good as was the Greek salad. Homemade fruit punch made me want to take home a gallon or two. WOW is a great description for this place. The delivery came hot and on time. There was plenty of food for the price and quality is not lacking here. The pork schnitzel is fried perfectly with a great contrast between crunchy outside coating and soft juicy inside. The salmon was also on point with a great dipping sauce. Fish is sometimes difficult to do well on delivery but this came hot and fresh. The avocado salad was served in a hallowed out avocado which was a great presentation I just thought the flavor was dull with this dish. Not my favorite item but there was plenty of other good stuff. They also had this unique eggplant napoleon type dish that i was iffy about but once I tasted it i forgot all hesitation. Eggplant is tough to do well but they nail it here. Overall, very solid place. I was contemplating giving a 5 star review but I think 4-4.5 is more appropriate. read more

Used to love this place so decided to have my birthday here. They refused tap water since it was a "party" and only served bottled water. I'm pretty sure that's against New York State Law to refuse tap water and was very annoying. Service was bad and it was almost impossible to catch a waitress. The fried calamari was delightful. The batter was not too thick, nor was it oily or to salty. The creamy mushroom dish was surprisingly very delicious. It has a creamy texture and well seasoned. All of the entrees we ordered were delicious. It is a dry restaurant, so no alcohol can be purchased but you can B.Y.O.B. (Bring your own bottle). So we did enjoy our food with drinks. The downside is there is no parking designated for this establishment. The community itself is pretty busy so it did take over 30 minutes to find parking. We used to love WOW cafe for take out dinner but the past few times we have been disappointed and this was the last straw. I think $17 is quite pricey for a salad, even if it's skirt steak salad, but we loved it so we kept getting it. Well this time, the salad was flavorless and half full! So disappointing. We also ordered the shrimp guacamole which was average and sweet potato fries which were also quite average, the top ones were salty whereas the bottom didn't get any salt. A very pleasant experience each time: consistency, taste and great service. I get deliveries often from this bistro and it's always on point (and great prices!!). I left off one-star as their fish (St.Peters) had a noticeable fishy odor, which means it needs to be a little fresher and possibly from a different supplier, this is the 2nd time I've experienced this. You will deep into super Russian atmosphere with russian music hits in the background, nice waitress and dope design. They recently updated their menu and now it's even better then before! I dont usually like white wine, but here it was good. The staff was real friendly, and quick to deliver. No one had complaints about anything at Wow. If you are eating in, then this place deserves 5 stars. The portions of the food are big. The flavour is always on point. The schnitzel is beyond big, and the omelette is also big and delicious. We've eaten here several times, and I can say that the food he been consistently good. However, if you are ordering out, then I would give it 3 stars. We ordered salmon with buckwheat and grilled veggies. I received a huge lasagna size aluminium dish, and I was happy before I saw what was inside. The buckwheat was a few spoons that managed to spread around, and veggies were also all over. Basically it was mush with the salmon. Very unappetizing and small portion. The only bad this is that I was the only one in the restaurant during lunch time and they have so many orders to deliver that they seemed to have forgotten me but they apologized several times. We had a great time celebrating my uncle's birthday at Wow Bistro. The service was excellent and even though it was a full house when we arrived, our servers were patient, thoughtful and attentive. The food was excellent, some of the best Russian cuisine I've had in Brooklyn. The chicken julienne was a standout as were the fried calamari and chicken schnitzel. We also really enjoyed the pavlova which is a great shareable dessert. The portions here are very generous and most of the dishes can be shared. We came for brunch and had the avocado Benedict and pastrami Benedict with salad. Excellent, fresh, with egg dripping appropriately, to be scooped up with the English muffin, in perfect proportion. The house dressing, which was suggested to us when we asked for a sauce, is off the hook. It was the reason I kept eating even when I was full, couldn't get enough of it. I think it's a garlic mayo combination with dill, but I don't think they will give the secret away. Service was exceptionally attentive and charming.
