Ravioli with grilled chicken and avocado

My first time eating here, and it definitely won't be my last because the food was so good and so delicious fresh and it didn't take too long to serve me the employees here are very nice , very welcoming The place is very clean with a very good atmosphere most definitely I would recommend anyone to try this spot! I will definitely be back here soon! I had ravioli with chicken and avocado and that tomato sauce was the best tomato sauce I had in a very long time!

Amazing service with the food to match. The owner greeted himself and made us feel welcomed. I came by with a group of 5 which he was able to accommodate, we asked if we can get a milk shake which they don't make there but the owner went above and beyond to go and make us milk shakes, which were great. Then we ordered our food which was also delicious, barely could finish my food because the milkshakes filled us up. They do have an extensive menu as well. Many options to choose from. The server we had was also nice and tended to all our request. This seems like a staple in town. Looks like many regulars come here to enjoy a good meal.

These past few weeks Gourmet Grill has been keeping me alive. I've been ordering from them on my way in from work when I'm unable to make dinner I just want to grab something healthy or a quick late-night bite. The food may take longer than usual but it doesn't bother me because I know was fresh me to order. I have never had an issue with my order and the delivery people come before the estimated time. The food is always delicious I've have never had a disappointing meal ever. I will always continue to order from here and I don't Believe that I will be let down in the future.

I'm normally pretty hesitant to try restaurants with such large menus, such as Gourmet Grill, because there is no way that all of that food can actually be fresh. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. I tried the hummus platter as an appetizer and the hummus was good and tasted like it was freshly prepared. I got the mozzarella and tomato panini for my main and it tasted good but it did not have quite the same fresh quality to it. The sandwich was overstuffed, so it is a good value for the price. I also had a glass of the white sangria which was pretty decent as well, and not overly sweet. I sat in their outdoor area in the back which was surprisingly nice. The waiters that we interacted with were all friendly. Overall, this is a solid place for a casual meal.

The service is impeccable, the wait staff is well versed in the menu and will offer help if you don't know how to truly get the best sandwich that you can. The star here is the roast beef sandwich, it's moist and flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. My suggestion is to order it with cheese and have it dunked in the au jus. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. Do note, they only take cash and sometimes it takes a while to get your food but in the end it is so very worth it.

Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so. We were given a check with an accurate breakdown of what we ordered. Prices are posted. And yes -- cash only.

I made reservations for 6:30 PM for five (5) adults. I knew it was not meant to be as soon as we walked in. We arrived at 6:45 PM and was told they would have to find us a table (there were several empty tables that were large enough to accommodate). We stood for 7 minutes before a gentleman came and sat us down. The table was bare, the only thing on the table was table cloth. It took approximately 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order. I didn't know that they had a live band and it was too loud for such a small place. The Menu had a fix price for $65 per person. The person who finally came to take orders sat at our table and cross of many items that were not available. It took another half an hour for someone to come place water at the table and gave us eating utensils. According to the menu, each of us would start our meal with a salad. The salad never came. We asked for a drink menu, we were told that they had nothing really to drink. We each order an appetizer from the menu, they brought us one plate with items on it. Mistakes were made in everything that we ordered to eat and others near us had the same issue. The original server that took all the food orders never came back to our table. The service was horrible. This was an embarrassing Mother's Day dinner. At the end, they presented me with a bill for $458. I will never return and I suggest that if any of you are considering going to this restaurant, don't bother. I would have been better off going to order food at Kal's Bakery & Restaurant and go home to eat. It would have cost me $17-$30 and would not have spent 3 hours being frustrated and embarrassed to have taken my mother, sister and other family members there.

The owner and manager knowingly triple booked the space and refused to do the right thing. A contract was signed two months ago for a high school graduation dinner for 50 people; two days before the event when the owner was aware there was conflict, he asked if my cousin could push back her event 'til 7pm. After speaking to the other two event coordinators, I was told that their events were only scheduled and booked by the owner Two weeks ago (both the baby shower and a health event). Again, the owner knew this was the case and did not make himself present or discuss the situation with my cousin or the health coordinator his mistake. The baby shower which was booked two weeks ago was scheduled from 2-8pm; and the health event was scheduled from 5-9. Upon the arrival of our family, we were flabbergasted by the fact that not only was the first event still taking place, but it was not scheduled to end until 8pm. Despite knowing all of this the owner still requested all parties to remit full payment though he knew he was already in breach of his contract with my cousin. Tonight, not only did he make himself unavailable or be present to diffuse the situation; he also had no managers on hand to troubleshoot the situation. Several calls to the owner went unanswered. He finally had a young staff member relay a message that he will call my cousin (several hours after this event was supposed to start) to "see what he can do". Over an hour later and he never responded. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Spare yourself the headache and frustration. Do not come here. Final time of space availability after set-up was 9pm - followed by the serving of tepid/borderline cold food.

We ended up at our neighborhood buffet, which has been around since my high school days. There's something nostalgic about walking through those doors again. I'd fully planned to snap pics and do a proper foodie breakdown (charged my phone and everything!), but once we were seated, all bets were off. The food? Not five-star, but it's fresh--and that matters. The high customer turnover keeps the trays rotating constantly, so nothing ever feels like it's been sitting. The fruit station gets points for presentation--everything looked washed and vibrant (though I gave a few pieces the side-eye just in case ). For under $30, it hit the spot. Needless to say, service left wanting more. Would not return here just so I wouldn't have to interact with that waiter. Ambiance is pleasant. The establishment aims to provide a more upscale vibe, even if customers are dinning super casually on a Thursday night. $28 Mongolian beef appetizer was tasty--a bit too dry--more sweet sauce would've been in order. Filet Mignon entree was standard steak house price but this establishment is not a steakhouse. Both our fillets were cooked to the temps we ordered. The meat was good quality. However. Same goes for potatoes gratin and mushrooms and meat. This was bizarre. How do you not season food? $15 napoleon was okay. Not the best and not the worst I had. The cream was too heavy on the eggs and more of a custard consistency, not the traditional Russian napoleon kind. Big piece, though, so it's good to share amongst several people after a filling dinner. Would I return? For such prices, bad service, and bland food--no. Spend your money elsewhere.
