Very cute little place with a very nice menu with many options to choose from. Service was very good. Also, breakfast was delicious slightly on the pricier side, but it was worth it. I would like to go back and try some other choices.

If you're looking for an old school brooklyn neighborhood place this is it. Service is friendly, people that eat here are regulars and the feel of the restaurant is what I miss about the old NYC. I came in and ate at the bar, didn't know what to order and I was told by a nice man sitting at another table that the split pea soup is really good so o ordered that with a side of bread. The soup bowl is huge and the split pea soup was really good! It had slices of ham in it and the bread tasted like it had garlic powder on it so I dipped the bread in the soup and it was really tasty. Perfect lunch for winter and the prices here are good. I'll be back soon :)

OMG don't miss out on this hidden family friendly gem. Everything everyone had was amazing, super large portions and amazing hospitality. The sangria's were fresh made. Chips of fruit to enjoy at the end. But the sweet potato fries were on point, crispy, hot, and .... You fill in the blank when you give them a try. Come out and give this 5 star family friendly restaurant a holla

The food here is so good, it's an absolute shame that is hardly ever open! So far what I have tried has been surprisingly great quality and flavorful. Even the plain drip coffee is fantastic, which I was absolutely not expecting to be that good since diner coffee isn't usually something to write home about. I really loved the burger I had my first time there because it's cooked how you want it, and the fries are amazing. Service is friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that the seating isn't super comfortable, its actually fairly uncomfortable. However, it's not enough to to knock off a star.

Good spot for a cheap price and great food. Definitely if I want a burger in a classic diner this would be my spot to go with Brooklyn locals. Ambiance can get lively on the weekends and service was sweet to my bf and I. Go to this spot to for the simple yet yummy diner experience. :)

Visited the area and came across this place. Nice small family owned restaurant. Service was great, got my food fairly quickly which was good because I was starving. I had a veggie omelet with homefries and a croissant. Everything was delicious and hit the spot.

Absolutely cooked to perfection! And soooo delicious

Places like this rarely exist anymore. Truly a throwback to old school Brooklyn food spots. The staff is always warm and friendly. The ambiance is inviting and perfect. But the food! Next level delicious!! I had the hungry man meal. Requested for my potatoes and sausage to be well done, beyond delicious they way they make the potatoes here. Truly a hidden gem in Brooklyn. Highly highly recommend it.

Great little breakfast place I found while visiting Brooklyn. Not very big inside but food was good and service was great. Plenty of food for a reasonable price.

I'm surprised that I don't come to this place more often. It's conveniently located on Ave U and the food is delicious! Came here with a group of friends and everyone was happy with what they got. The service was excellent as well I got the Texas burger which came with bacon, sautéed onion, chipotle sauce, and the greens. Everything complimented each other very well and this burger was full of flavor. I was so full after and the presentation was excellent as well. In no way was this burger dry The sweet potato fries is an excellent option to get. They are crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. Paired with ketchup or honey mustard, it is perfection. I would opt for this over the regular fries because those weren't as crunchy. Will definitely be coming back here again

The paper straw they use to serve with hot chocolate float
    Rosalia X.

This place is ehh, I do love the amount of cheese they put in the omelette. I wish they spread the chocolate chips around more in the pancakes. The chocolate chips were all in the middle. I don't recommend the milkshake or the hot chocolate float. You couldn't even taste the chocolate in the milkshake and I'm pretty sure for the hot chocolate float its powered. I'm not sure why they serve hot chocolate float with a paper straw because my straw broke. They forgot about the drinks then they forgot about the cold slaw my boyfriend ordered.

Do the cheese fries use like real cheese melted on top or a cheese sauce like Nathan's because a cheese sauce is what I prefer?

My daughter checked it out but she didn't have socks to play so she stayed at the table with us. For appetizers, we ordered the dumplings (so cute and delicious), the pancakes and the pizza. The pizza was mediocre. For our entrees I had the shrimp avocado salad and my husband got the gosht burger. Our entrees were really tasty. We also got a side of fries for our daughter which we didn't really have to order. It is a little pricey but look at their location! When we got the bill we were charged $10 for the play place. I asked for it to be removed because my daughter didn't really play there and didn't have socks so our waitress removed it. It's not a big playground area and how long can kids really ply there if they're there for the restaurant? They charge $10 on weekday and $15 on weekends.

The service is impeccable, the wait staff is well versed in the menu and will offer help if you don't know how to truly get the best sandwich that you can. The star here is the roast beef sandwich, it's moist and flavorful and cooked absolutely perfectly. My suggestion is to order it with cheese and have it dunked in the au jus. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so. We were given a check with an accurate breakdown of what we ordered. Prices are posted. And yes -- cash only.

What is a very cool historic spot could be an insane hangout if it wasn't for the sauntering a**hole pissing on a good time. She asks him about this in a friendly way, saying we love the spot and we've been dying to come in. His response is super snide, and the he pulls out his phone and shoves the website in her face as if we didnt think to look them up. We tried twice to talk to the guy and both times he was extremely condescending and unfriendly. Then he went behind the bar and proceeded to complain about us out loud, 18 inches away as if we couldn't hear. just for trying to have a conversation? We weren't drunk or belligerent, just trying to tell him we like the spot. Guy seems totally uninterested in what it means to own or run a bar, much less a cool ass spot like this. If you go on a night (whenever they feel like being open for business--better check the website!!!!!) when Patrick isn't there and it's just the bartender Jamie-- he is super cool kind and a great time.
