I left a review a year ago since this Business first started I'm so glad they're thriving. It's great for the community and a place to come sit back and just relax watching TV whether your indoors or outdoors I went again this time I tried the pizza slice they have improved on my last visit. Don't be fooled by the old "good" reviews. This place has decent (not great) food but the service and the business is a mess. The owner (or whoever the old man with glasses) is rude and often curses out his employees in front of customers. Plus they often get the orders wrong. Today and on another occasion I didn't get meat with my breakfast order. Imagine getting into the office with your sausage and egg platter with hashbrowns....and finding out they forgot the sausage. Let me tell you about a terrible experience this morning. I arrive at 9am and place two orders for breakfast platters. The place wasn't extremely busy, there was the usual morning crown. But for some reason i had to wait over 25 min for our orders. I asked a few times where my order was and I got back halfassed responses like they needed to make my toast or that it was coming right out. Then the boss/old man starts cursing at the other worker and they're both muttering f-bombs and complaining under their breaths. They weren't mad at me complaining, they seemed to be mad at each other because they both know how messed up this place is. I was offered a free drink or something to make me feel better but I was already running late. No i don't want free consolation beverages, i want my damn food in a timely fashion. Is that so much to ask? On top of that, they told me that I should call in my order so i don't have to wait next time. That didn't make sense to me as another customers walked in after me and got their sausage egg and cheese sandwiches on a bagel with coffee in no time at all. She didn't call in, she walked in...just like i did. Overall on principle alone I can't recommend this place to ANYONE. There are plenty of pizza shops and food options down the block towards the hospital and I will NEVER come back here again. First strike was them forgetting to add sausage last time. Great local place for lunch. The staff are friendly and know their regulars by name. They have a pretty good selection of pizza and hot food ready to go at lunch time, which switches day to day. When I'm in a hurry, it's a great option. If I have more time, I love to order their chicken cordon bleu. My favorite though, is their shrimp parm. They use jumbo shrimps which come out crispy and fresh with the melty mozzarella. Really solid entrée. For breakfast, they make their own croissants, which are great if I want a bacon egg and cheese. Would definitely recommend stopping by here if you work in the area. read more

Cafe 58 features a nice selection of pizzas. Also, they have stromboli, which are very hard to find in Manhattan (one of the perks of working in Brooklyn, I guess). Pricing is decent on pizza, especially for the neighborhood. I just wish their drink selection wasn't so limited. They often have more than one soup, which they seem to be heating up while you wait. It's usually packed at lunchtime; unfortunately they can't fit a lot of people in the front of the restaurant. In my opinion, good if you're looking for pizza, but I'm not usually willing to make the walk down the block to go there. read more

Their prices are reasonable consider they are fairly close to a hospital. What got me to never want to order from anywhere else is.... I made an order for breakfast the other day , my first time ordering , I asked if they had some tips of chocolate milk ( I needed it for my autistic son , but was stuck home with my three kids , two of them sick ) so the girl tells me sorry we don't have that, then she hears the baby crying (my 11 months old) , she tells me , "aw is the milk for your baby? " I told her it was for my son but I was stuck home and couldn't go get it, she tells me " do you want me to send you a gallon of milk?" I was so happy , they sent me a gallon of milk with my order as well, not to mention the delivery is free unlike some other places I had ordered previously before finding Cafe 58 , any how today I ordered breakfast $8 total , I ask if the have chocolate nutrament, this time was a guy on the phone taking my order, he tells me "no we don't but I can get them " ...Ok so the delivery guy gets here , and when I ask the total, it's $8 plus he got the nutrament from a store $4 , I was like aw man sorry they sent you to the store to get them he tells me very friendly "no, it's no problem, we do anything we can for our costumers" that's where they locked me with them period, all my orders are coming from them. The guys here are very friendly, except for one. He looks like the angry character from inside out. My orders are almost always accurate with the exception of some days which doesn't bother me much. Stopped in to order some food for a group of people and I have to say, what a great decision. There was a bit of a line at around noon, but it moved pretty quickly. I stepped up to the counter and Alex (I assume he was the owner) took my order which consisted of several sandwiches and a couple pizzas. He told me it would take a while so I took a seat. A few minutes later, he motioned for me to come to the counter. He gave me some pasta, pork and a soda on the house and we started to talk about the neighborhood and all the great new changes such as construction of parks and ball fields. Now THAT is how you create a phenomenal customer experience. The sandwiches were tasty, big and very filling. The pizza tasted great as well. I absolutely love this place! The food is outstanding! The pizza is amazing (The grandma pie is to die for!) But it is so much more than pizza; they have breakfast, a deli counter, and they make other dishes perfect for lunch or to take home for dinner. Last time I went there tor breakfast I got a great amount of food for a cheap price. It was a delicious omelette with cheese, jalapeño, and bacon! I also love the cuban sandwich! It is so delicious and even travels well so I will often bring them home for dinner. I have tried most of the meals because everything is so good I like to try it all. The owners are so funny and down to earth. They are Italian Americans that really seem to love what they do there. They always make me feel like I am valued and go out of their way to insure a positive experience. This place is a MUST TRY! Be open to all of the different food options because they are all delish!
