Such a loud restaurant. If you're with a large group I would recommend this place but for a date night or intimate dinner look elsewhere. Food- The crab cakes lacked crab. Wouldn't order this again Wings- the sauce was delicious. Fried a bit too hard but we enjoyed it. Porterhouse steak- really fatty with the right flavors. Stumbled upon this local neighborhood haunt on a late Friday night and my husband and I had to just wait about 15 minutes. The ambience is old school and the service is probably the friendliest I've encountered at a steakhouse establishment. Everything from the flavored olive oil and bread to our porterhouse for two was delicious and super tasty. I even asked for a bit of fried onions on the side to accompany our steak since I thought I'd miss out if I didn't top it with even more calories. All in all, a stellar experience. After a long period away we returned to Chadwick's with friends for dinner. I am glad to report that Chadwick's continues its long record of beautifully prepared and presented food, excellent service (thank you Danielle for taking good care of us) in an upscale, but approachable, environment. I enjoyed my braised beef spring rolls, but the star of my dinner was the rack of lamb - perfectly medium-rare, as requested, juicy and delicious without the need of added sauces. Fellow diners enjoyed the perfectly prepared beef Wellington special and a delicious steak. Desert included a simple rice pudding served in an edible tuille bowl and moist, moderately sweet bread pudding with a vanilla sauce. Chadwick's never disappoints. We went to Chadwick's for Valentine's dinner. We were warmly greeted and sat at a table by the cozy fireplace for an added romantic touch. I loved that the ambience was warm and the noise level low. We were presented with '' Valentine special menu'' and delighted with the great selections to choose from. We ordered martinis with our staters of Maryland crab cakes and tuna tartar. Then we shared a bottle of exquisite Brunello to pair with delicious duck confit, sweet potato mash and carrots and steak au poivre, black truffle mash and aspargus. The deserts were just as wonderful to end our meal. Our server Jonathan was very attentive. Even the owner Steven checked on us to insure everything was to our liking. Just attended a private party there for a birthday. The service was excellent, and the food was even better. Portions were just the right size. Went for dinner along with three friends recently. Two of us ordered steak which was dry with little taste and it was mentioned to our Waiter. At no time did the manager, Bryan come over to address the complaints or even offer complimentary coffee or dessert. He did however walk over to three tables near us and it was obvious he knew those diners very well as regulars. To add insult to injury, he loudly announced to people at those tables that dessert was on him. It appeared as if our complaints were ignored. Maybe if we were "regulars" he would have made up for the bad experience. Mr Bryan needs to be more discreet about treating his "regulars" especially when others are watching and listening. We will go back to Ponte Vecchio restaurant in the future where you get better food and larger potions for your money. read more

I came in for a dinner hosted by a law firm promoting their Estate planning services. The waiters for the event were amazing and attentive considering that the catered event was a large group. We had a bruschetta appetizer served family style. It was delicious and fun to eat. The light and crisp bread with the ripe seasoned tomatoes and cheese was simple yet satisfying. The second plate was a deceptively simple penne pasta with a wonderfully flavorful sauce. We had a choice of salmon, pork chop or chicken franchise. I ordered the salmon and it was so good I forgot to take a picture before devouring it. The salmon was cooked perfectly, moist, tender and fresh! There was even cheesecake for dessert. Excellent place. Family and I had dinner last night to celebrate my turning 60. I live a sheltered life. Lived in Bay Ridge my whole life and have never been to Chadwick's. Many of the chorizo accessory pieces were also burnt. 18 ounce New Zealand Wagyu steak for $70 (special for the day). Entree came with nicely crisp potatoes and sautéed spinach with caramelized onions. The steak was good, but did not warrant the "special of the day" moniker. The man and I decided to go out for dinner to celebrate the global holiday (my Birthday ). Steak had been calling my name for weeks, and every trip on 3rd avenue, I pass Chadwick's. I heard great things about this place, so I thought: let's give it a ring-a-ding and squeeze in a reservation. We walk in, and there's a bar to pass by to get to the host podium. The bar is really nice; very "Cheers" atmosphere. Definitely need to stop in on a weeknight for a drink. We get seated by the host and greater by Randy; great guy. Very personable. Hands us our menus (medium in size; something for everyone, but not so big that the head chef would be unaccustomed to the entire menu) and walks us through the short list of specials. Randy scurries to get our drinks and put in our orders when a lovely unannounced gentleman (I'll call him 'heuvo') pop's some warm bread on the table, a small cup of red stuff and a couple small dishes. The man and I figured out that the red stuff was a tomato/roasted red pepper aioli to spread on the bread (too thick for dipping). It was yummy. Next, Heuvo dropped off a platter with a huge mound of butter-tender fried Calamari and crisp Zucchini strings, along with two small bowls of sauce. One bowl was the typical arribiata sauce that always comes with crispy fried Calamari. The other was a spicy tomatillo salsa verde. Wait... Salsa Verde? They paired ITALIAN Calamari with MEXICAN Tomatillo sauce?? Never has there been a more perfectly paired sauce with butter-tender fried Calamari... We didn't even TOUCH the arribiata. The steaks came out and they smelled like fresh summer barbeque. So yummy... The man and I asked for Medium-Rare, and that's exactly what we got; bright red (not purple, not gray) meat, perfectly seasoned and seared. The sides were very delicious but the man and I were so entranced with the steak, we barely ate our sides; we kept consuming the steak. We skipped dessert because we were THAT full.
