Amazing service! My waitress asked the chefs to split our portions into 2 instead of having us cut and resize the portions ourselves - super helpful. Calamari was amazing and the complementary bread was good. The focaccia came with a vodka-like sauce. My burger wasn't bad- it satisfied my cravings and it was paired with fries. I got the squid ink tortellini and the dough was a bit hard unfortunately

Very good service and delicious food. The rigatoni was flavorful and the burger was juicy and delicious. The fries were nostalgic in flavor and crispy.

It gets the job done. This restaurant is in the heart of Bay Ridge, and it is hard to miss. It is usually packed, especially at night or on the weekend. The menu is extensive, and the outdoor seating is visually inviting as much as the inside. That was what hooked me into stepping in. I ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees, which took forever to come out. It was not a particularly busy time for the restaurant,t as I was probably the 3rd customer seated. The food did come out smelling wonderful and presentable. The appetizers, consisting of the calamari and wings, were a smash. It was amazingly fried and fresh-tasting. No complaints. The entrees were definitely disappointing. The breakfast dish consisting of eggs, sliced avocado, and bacon tasted as it should. Nothing outstanding and nothing bad. The pizza, however, was absolutely dreadful. It was very small, top-loaded with greasy cheese to the point that when you pick up the poorly cut slice, everything will fall off. It honestly tasted like the children's Lunchable pizza box set. The Cebu burger was uninspiring. It was a plain-tasting burger. A burger your uncle can make at a backyard BBQ. For $25.00, I am running to Shake Shack and getting myself 3 burgers. Overall, it was okay. The food gets the job done, and I would suggest coming here for a social event rather than impressing a foodie.

Stopped in on a Saturday around 1:45pm. Seated right away in the back room. Our server was Tommy who was welcoming and friendly. We ordered the steak sandwich and fish tacos. Both were very good. We weren't in the mood for brunch--but the brunch menu looked so good. Fries were probably my favorite. Delish. I'll be back to try the brunch menu for sure.

I stumbled upon Cebu in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and it was a total delight! We ordered the brussel sprout salad (which initially got swapped with a kale salad), cheeseburger with sweet potato fries (which came with regular fries), and two diet cokes. BUT - our amazing waitress, Daniella, was on it! She quickly fixed the mistake, let us keep the kale salad and regular fries (which were actually pretty tasty!), and even treated us to an incredible carrot cake. Speaking of which - that carrot cake though! One of the best I've had, and I'd love to know where it's from. If anyone knows, let me know! Daniella's top-notch service made up for the kitchen's oops, and we'd totally go back for her (and that carrot cake). Cebu - will be back for sure!

Broccoli - again, the picture doesn't do it justice. The flavors are ‍

I have a love|hate relationship with this place. I've been here for private birthday parties, branches, dinner and sitting at the bar. I'll be honest - the private parties have always been a great time. The other times have been misses to a certain extent. However, I've lately stopped by later in the evening as Cebu is on my way home - the latest visit was actually pretty good. I had a margarita and broccoli that to my pleasant shock, tasted like Brussels sprouts (IYKYK). I will definitely come back for the broccoli and 'rita!

Home is where the heart is and there is nothing quite like a home cooked meal. I have to say most Bay Ridgians enjoy dining local and in our neighborhood. I love to support neighborhood gems because majority of restaurant owners here, love their clients, establish loyalty through cooking delicious food and provide consistent great customer service. I was in the mood for a " comfort food"breakfast, you know, eggs, avocado, mozzarella, tomato, deliciousness and I found it on the menu simply named "Breakfast Sandwich". Which consists of voila: Mozzarella, avocado, tomato jam, arugula, crispy bacon, dijonaise, sunny side up egg between multigrain toasts. I ordered this sans the bacon ( requested turkey bacon which they do not have). What arrived in my plate was this decadent open faced egg sandwich that looked delectable.. and was!! Let's first talk about the wheat toast: I tasted it naked and it simply melted in my mouth. The ingredients worked well together, perfect synchronicity. I used one half of the toast to sop up any fallen ingredients. Highly recommend! For a drink, I wanted something a bit different, thus, ordered the Mango Mint Peach tea, fruity with a hint of mint. Loved it and went well with the Sammy! There are lovely options besides breakfast sandwiches like quinoa, oatmeal, granola, pancakes, French toast.. breakfast is served all day and lunch is served @noon. I arrived before 12 and was told I can order breakfast or lunch. It has a cozy, intimate vibe which I love.. one where you can dine solo, or do work or read or just enjoy the fabulous food. I will make "The Common" my home away from home. Additionally, there are cooking classes in their Park Slope location; the courses look great: Italian feast, Moroccan cooking, Wine Pairing and many more. Check out their website for more info. More to come from me.. The Common is located on 9406 3rd Avenue

We ordered the chicken liver mousse, crispy potato tart, and burger. The chicken liver mousse is a must order and something I get every time I come here, whether it is this location or the Park Slope one. The mousse itself is rich, creamy, savory, and packed with umami. I just wish it came with something better on the side. The pita was a little underwhelming and was not warmed all the way through. The crispy potato tart was excellent. The potato was super crispy, and a bite with the salmon, egg, sour cream, and potato together was perfect. The lightly dressed arugula helped cut through the richness and made for a nice palate cleanser. The burger looked pretty simple when it arrived, but it ended up being surprisingly good. The patty was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Overall, a great neighborhood spot and one I would happily come back to.

My new favorite restaurant…read more The food was good, fresh, presumably well-sourced based on taste, and a very fair value. The restaurant is not overly expensive -- the $65.00 lunch bill below suggests a high-end selection and/or apps. I had a pineapple mint lemonade, sea bass on saffron risotto, a lovely salad topped with potato gnocchi, and cake dessert for $85 inclusive of 20% tip and tax. Nearly everything tasted fresh and homemade. Worth it. If this were served in Restaurant Row, the bill would be $40 more and the food not nearly as good. Because Beets & Carrots offers something rare and startlingly somehow in decline: food that tastes like food the body happily accepts as such. They serve meals that stand out simply because they taste like food. It was nice to dine outside the home feeling confident no digestive issues, lethargy, brain fog, bloating, etc were around the corner. You can tell that someone health conscious who cares about how ingredients show up in the meal is in the kitchen, someone who thinks food is both very fun and very serious. Least favorite: The lemonade. Mostly personal preference here, as I prefer a much tarter, less watery lemonade with higher lemon:water volume ratio. But I think most people would like it; I would get it again. Favorite: Both the entree and salad (which surprised me with a deliciously simple horseradish dressing) were great, but the bass wins in my book. Skin crisped to perfection...very flavorful fish and a great cut...creamy, perfect risotto. I appreciated that the risotto wasn't too salty as well.

Over the years, Pegasus has grown with the community, becoming a steady place for everyday meals and familiar faces." Pegasus is a longstanding landmark in Bay Ridge. I wouldn't call it a diner per se because it is cozy with a few booths and a counter. I would call it a classy coffee shop. The menu has something for everyone: burgers, eggs, pancakes, salads and all the comfort food from home made for you. I had some errands to take care of on 86th street so I decided to stop in; I haven't dined here in a while. Pegasus is not just for Brooklynites, many patrons come from Staten Island and other far away places. As I stood on line I heard " I made a reservation is my table ready?" "45 minutes wait?" and I said "I'll take any seat even the counter" as I was told 30 minutes for a seat. Then, 10 minutes later, three seats opened up at the counter. I found my seat and reviewed the menu; I was in the mood for a turkey burger but they do not offer it anymore. So, I ordered an Impossible Burger deluxe and a cup of coffee. The coffee was served piping hot and it was delicious! Then, my burger came out.TBH I didn't know what to expect. I spread some mayo and ketchup on it and took one bite... delicious! It really tastes like the real thing. The fries were plentiful and also scrumptious. The service was on point: iced water served, coffee cup refilled and love the fact there are extra napkins in the bar to take which I needed. The burger was a little messy but worth it! It is not hard to understand why Pegasus has endured; simple food cooked like a home meal, cozy environment and great service. Pegasus Brooklyn 8610 3rd Avenue 8:15-4:30pm
