Just the way she handled it was really rude when I didn't even make a fuss I was just confused why there was nothing in my burrito weird energy here if you're not a white townie. Glad my father got to enjoy his corned beef hash though. Only positive in this experience.

Loved this place. Had a party of 40 people and my biggest fear was that service would be lacking due to such a large group but they were OUTSTANDING. The server's made sure that no guest waited for a request, they were very attentive throughout the entire evening-if a guest so much as dropped a fork, a new one was brought before we could even say something, and I was extremely please because with so many people at one party, it is usually extremely difficult to maintain everyone's happiness. THE FOOD, all of our guests loved the food and we had A LOT of picky eaters. The way their banquet menu's are designed, there is something for everyone, but the crowd favorites were the seafood linguine, the salmon tar tar and the lamb chops-divine. Lastly, I'd like to give a special thank you to the musicians because the choice of music was perfect, a few slow songs but not too many, a lot of modern upbeat songs to get the crowd going but every now and again there would be a classic Russian restaurant favorite. We were extremely pleased with how our party turned out and in my honest opinion, Encore is one of the best restaurants for banquet style parties in Brooklyn. read more

We had my mom's surprise birthday celebration on Friday 11/15 and it was one of the best experiences I have had going to a restaurant. This is not our first time, and they great every single time when we go there. We ordered a lot of different types of food and all of them were equally as tasty. The service was phenomenal, we got our food quickly and always had someone to assist us with anything we needed to receive or to be taken away. The show and music started at around 9 and went on for hours with breaks in between for the performers. The cabaret show was beautiful with a different variety of songs being played. There were smoke machines and lights illuminating the stage and the performers, Antony one of the best singers and others, I loved his voice and songs. Many people were on the floor dancing and enjoying these great musicians. The bar was open all night with Dmitriy, the bartender, making amazing drinks for our lovely friends. This is the only restaurant, Encore, in the Russian speaking community who has a such wonderful cabaret show. Thanks a lot to Peter, for saving Russian traditions in New York! read more

I normally don't go out for Mother's Day because I simply can't handle the crowds, the stressed-out servers, and the long waits for tables even when reservations were made well in advance. Encore started doing brunch on Sundays and we decided to try it out. This was such an amazing experience that I now want it to be our Mother's Day tradition. We were seated in the semi-private area behind the bar and received utmost attention from both the chef and the head server who were waiting on us hand and foot. The food is delicious-kids enjoyed their eggs and bacon, adults enjoyed their food, everything was fresh, properly seasoned and delicious, but the banana nutella French toast croissant, OMG, OMG, I can't get over it, what a standout! read more

Now on to the food. I got the "French" banquet which should have unlimited soda but there were no drinks on the table. Also, no bread which is very odd for a Russian restaurant. After several requests, we finally got bread and...cranberry juice. Then had to ask for butter for the bread. The food itself was okay but nothing like I remember it being. The escargot had a horrible taste to it and I ended up spitting it out and I love escargot. The "cold fish platter" was just lox with a lot of the black/fishy part on it. There were so many things missing which I only realized after the fact. Aubergine Appetizer was missing, assorted mushrooms were missing. Assorted fruit platter was just watermelon and pineapple and the "cakes" was just slices of an almond cake. Almonds are allergins, nuts are allergins, how do you only serve a nut cake and not at least an assortment? My husband is allergic to nuts and when I asked if they have something without nuts the waiter first said no and then went back and brought him out a chocolate cake. Overall, at $100 per person, not really worth the price.
