I recently had my daughters sweet 16 (June 27th) at Bayridge manor, and I cannot rave about the place enough, the food was good the ladies at the office Christina and Ahlem, were so helpful. I cannot thank them enough! I attended a pastor's anniversary banquet. The place is clean. It seems that they can hold two events ... one upstairs and one downstairs. We had the room upstairs. Each area has its own set of bathrooms. Valet Parking The venue is in a residential neighborhood and they do not have a designated parking lot. I arrived way too early for my event, it was pouring down raining and the event before mine was letting out. The young men were overwhelmed with trying to get the cars for the departing guests. They didn't have any real organization to how they parked cars. I heard one say to another something like, check on 75th street. I watched them hit the button on many cars to try and determine where it might be. When I asked about parking I was told that they wouldn't be able to assist me anytime soon then I was asked to be patient and wait while they disbursed the leaving guests. I waited, not realizing that I was holding up a FedEx truck which ultimately held up traffic. Fortunately, my wait paid off and a valet was able to park me across the street. Train/Bus I'm sure there's a bus close, but I don't know which one. As I was leaving, when I approached the light, I noted the R Train Station. Ginger Ale/Sprite Venues are quick to give you cola and water and I always ask for Ginger Ale. Ginger Ale isn't available but they offer Sprite, upon request. Staff They're wait staff was full of young people and they were pleasant and did their best to make sure the guests were taken care of. The real question, would I go back? It's not someplace that I would make an effort to return to. If I had to park my car and walk the long block back to the venue or park on another block, I wouldn't be able to do it. Watching the young men look for cars to return to departing guest didn't bring me comfort. If the venue is convenient for you, go for it. My cousin and his wife threw an amazing baby shower at this location to celebrate their second child. Great family affair. Spacious catering hall with valet parking and good food. Enjoyed the tilapia while my wife enjoyed her chicken parmigiana. Kids were having a great time and the kid menu options were good. Recommend this place for family parties. Patrick and Martin Golden should be ashamed for running a business like this during a pandemic! We did have a tasting and the food is mediocre at best, the appetizers are definitely frozen. Here begins their business practices. We met with Tracy at Bay Ridge Manor Inc. 11/15/2019 and agreed on a $1000 down payment for the function to be held on 05/29/2020 we provided her an initial deposit of $500 and then met with her to provide an additional $500 deposit on 12/04/2019 . We were really looking forward to our big day and never intended to cancel but the pandemic happened and they shut down were not able to provide us promised service. Our contract got officially terminated when the pandemic happened. On March 23rd 2021 I spoke with Tracy on the phone regarding the event and explained to her that we do not want to reschedule for personal reasons. She assumed we are still under contract. I kept in touch with her and the banquet manager Jackie regarding our refund they refused to tell me the amount. Finally I received a check on 06/26/2021 which was for $500. Nowhere in the contract does it stipulate they can keep 50% off the monies we gave them. I emailed them immediately it is 07/03/2021 today and still no reply. read more

I recently attended a medium-sized event (~100 people) for a baptism. I liked a lot of things about this spot. The service was very polite. The bartender, waiters, etc provided great service. I wanted the bartender to be at the bar all night. She was helping serve, clean tables etc., but very graciously brought me drinks when I needed. The buffet cocktail hour was good. The sesame chicken was tasty but reminiscent of a frozen product. The fried calamari was my favorite. I wish the man making tacos was more proactive. They were covered in tinfoil, no one even knew they were being served. And the bag of Mission tortillas turned me off. Everything was Ok and we had a great time, mostly because of the company. I had an event booked here for May before COVID restrictions and sadly had to reschedule and then cancel. I have reached out to the venue over 7x regarding my deposit refund and continued to get the run around stating that they could not give me an answer until their office opened back up. They have ignored my emails and calls since August. I'm so disappointed in this place that they would take $500 and run with it even though the contract states that because I rescheduled and then canceled within a certain amount of days, I am entitled to an explanation. I have not had a response in over 3 months. read more

I came here as a guest for a birthday party. My observations: Nice interior . Up lighting is built into the walls. The Chandeliers don't match... The food is OK. THe service is mediocre. The max capacity is 200 but I think it's great for a party of 100. It doesn't seem that the staff can handle any more than 100. Here's an example senario: I ask nicely for another glass. They young man comes back with a glass that's half rinsed and dripping with water. I consider that to be SLOPPY. They have an upstairs, but I've never been up there... The receiving lobby is nice though.. Even if I gave it 2 stars, I'd still look elsewhere to hold my event. read more

So, I decided to throw my husband a surprise 40th birthday party. After hearing wonderful things about The Bay Ridge Manor I decided to check it out. I must say I had a wonderful experience with the staff from the start. The staff was very professional at all times and knowledgeable. I had the pleasure of planning this day with Erin and she was awesome from the start. The day of the surprise they did not disappoint the room was beautifully decorated like promised and the staff for the night was great! The food was ok, not much to say about the food. My guests had an issue of how fast the food was put away a lot of them were not quite ready to eat and then when they were-all the food was gone. I believed the food was out for about 2hrs(buffet style). If I were to plan another event I will definitely keep it at the manor. Sweet little event spot. You wouldn't be able to tell from the outside, but the inside of this catering hall is lovely. I came here for a communion and another event, both of which were held in the same party room. Both times, the food selection was great and the dance floor provided ample space. It is rare for me to leave five stars but Bayridge Manor deserves it! I recently attended a fund raiser and its a hidden gem in Bayridge. Not only do they have great food ( I had the salmon cooked to perfection) the service is outstanding. The staff was friendly, organized and efficient. The room was decorated beautifully, perfect lighting and gorgeous chandeliers. The servers and waiters were friendly and accommodating (our waitress offered to bring me dessert because I was leaving early) Our table never ran out of wine and the waitresses kept walking around to ensure we always had water in our glasses. read more

Just celebrated my daughter's quinceañera here on Saturday and all I can say is amazing! Two years ago when we first started looking for places, my daughter took one look at it and said "I love it". Why is this place even open!?! Terrible service, terrible workers, terrible venue and does not keep their words nor what's written in the contract. No speakers in the room as promised in the contract, no manner and most importantly, no professionalism. Don't let the fancy website fool you, the actual venue is dark and ugly. Valet parking is street parking. The bums in the front ask for $3 min tips yet asks you to go pick up your own car. I definitely do not recommend this venue to anyone unless you are looking for a cheap and disappointing celebration. I can't believe this place is still operating. I was here for a party and it's hard to criticize since I wasn't a paying guest. However, I have to be fair and honest. The lobby is very inviting. The coffee, bread,and DJ were the best part of the function. I've listed my concerns below: *not enough wine glasses on the table and when they gave us more glasses one of them was visibly cracked in 2 places. How did the miss that? *there was a little table of appetizers tucked away in the corner that nobody saw or knew about. *the penne a la Vodka was bland and the sauce was watered down enough to make it appear like soup. *the portions of food were very small. The salad was tiny. My chicken francaise had no taste and it came with 4 baby carrots that turned to mush when you put your fork in them, 3 cubes of potatoes, 3 broccoli florets. I went home and had dinner. *the soda on the table was in a serving carafe. It was actually flat and not carbonated. It looked like the syrup that is used to make soda. One guest tried it and spit it out. No bubbles and no taste. The guest went to the bar to get the soda and came back with a glass of flat syrup. Yikes! *the cake had no taste. Bland. No option of tea or decaf coffee given to us. Never saw server for a refill. *the service was poor. They delivered the food and you didn't see them again. They needed more servers. Not enough for a party of 130 people. I expected better. This is Brooklyn and this place should be delivering fresh and tasty food and bigger portions. No excuses! Sweet 16 for our daughter..it was simply amazing and flawless. From the beginning of the process speaking with Tracey she made everything as simple and easy. We didn't have any problems getting the colors for the decor, centerpiece, everything. Any questions we had were answered and they were able to add things to the party to make it a success. All of the guests commented on how good the food was, how courteous and professional the staff was. Tracey was like our liaison for success. Anything we asked of her was done, she also anticipated things that needed to be done. What can I say about the DJ Robert Barrese. The music was jumping, thumbs up from all the teens. DJ Billy kept the songs flowing and the adults also had their moment to shine. Robert was an amazing Hype Man. He came out in a LED suit and wowed the crowd. I guarantee no other teens had that experience. We are all over social media...lol Smooth, flawless, precision. This place has a 21 Club feel to it from the outside and lobby but minus a star for decor of main room upstairs. Its a little dated. Elegant and upscale place otherwise though. I went to a friends 50th Birthday on Saturday, Sept. 8th, 2012. I was in awe of the set-up. There was a Jazz Ensemble playing as we arrived. Upright Bass is my thang so I was pleasantly surprised by the elegance of the place. The party was an intimate gathering for a few of her closest friends and she could not have chosen a better location. The drinks were fabulous! I had my first Cosmo that night and a few other drinks too. We danced, laughed, and sat at the most amazing table settings I've ever seen. I felt so special to be a part of her birthday celebration. The staff was on point. We didn't have to wait long for anything. The food was delicious. The choices appealed to everyone and the chicken with this sauce was delicious and I want to make it myself. My GF had her baby shower here in the room downstairs. The food and service were pretty good for a small catering hall. The party upstairs created a little confusion when you walked in and took away a little from the experience but if you have someone guiding your guest or well placed signs it should be no problem. For two years my school has had a formal dinner and dance party to celebrate the graduating grad school class. The service has always been splendid, everyone is friendly and willing to help out. The bartender, while a bit overworked with our insatiable thirst (we are grad students), performed well and requested ingredients that were not immediately at her disposal..e.g. milk for white Russians. The food is average, but the atmosphere, the service, and the location's proximity to the R train (which usually goes to manhattan) makes this place ideal should you intend to trek to the city for an after party. Update- Wedding was yesterday and literally could not have been better! Jackie worked with us to accommodate dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan options, etc.). and plan all of the little details I would have overlooked. They respect your budget and the type of event you are looking for, in this case, small (50 ppl) and intimate. Maitre'D Tracy was great on the day of, checking in with us frequently during the event. I didn't have time for a tasting, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Stand -outs during the cocktail hour included the grilled beef kabobs and asparagus feta wrap which melts in your mouth. The salmon entree was delicious as well. There was nice Sauvignon Blanc on the table (didn't get to sample the red wine). My only regret is that I couldn't sample more food because I was so full. What I loved about the venue is that they work with local vendors (florist and bakery) which made everything extremely convenient and supports the local economy. My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding at the Bay Ridge Manor on October 27, 2017. The staff did an excellent job setting up the hall for our special day. We had a lot of decor that we brought the prior day with special instructions as to where they would be placed and the staff was on point and organized all our pictures and decor exactly the way we wanted. The food was so delicious during both the cocktail hour and the reception. The staff assigned to us during our wedding treated us like a king and Queen always making sure we were comfortable , constant refills on our drinks, and attended to all our needs and special requests. The hall is absolutely stunning but looked amazing especially after all the flower arrangements were placed in the room with the blue up lighting the place provided. My wife and I could not have been happier with service and setup. We would also like to thank Erin for all that she did to make sure that our special day would be a great one. My wife and I got married on 4/23/16 and we had such a memorable time at Bay Ridge Manor. Prior to our wedding day, Erin was so helpful in coordinating the wedding. I know she had her job to help all customers but we felt like she was just working for us. Any questions (we had many) we had, she was right there to help clear it up. The wedding day went on without any issues. We were at ease and the staff was polite, helpful and I must mention the food was great. I had a large party here and it was OK. The food was good and the staff were OK. They were supposed to bring food upstairs to the suite for some people and they were very slow in doing that so a few people didn't even get to eat. We were also told that we couldn't take any leftover foods to go. Although, after giving them a pretty nice tip, that rule changed and we were given a large box of food to take home with us. They have two party rooms and a private suite. All are pretty nice. The prices are pretty cheap compared to other party halls in the area. I would recommend this place as a whole but would say you need to be very specific on what you want to the staff. read more

I had my engagement party here four days ago. Let me first start by saying, I spoke with Erin first back in January. She was an absolute sweetheart. Who gave me all answers to any questions, not just that day but in the following 4-5 months. Then there is Tracey the Maitre D, who also answers any questions I had and was helpful as well. The night of the party she was absolutely amazing. She made sure everything ran smooth, was there for any needs I had. I can go on. From the management Thur waitstaff, everyone was attentive and helpful to my every need and helped me create a wonderful and memorable evening for my girlfriend and guest . The apps were great and plentiful and the buffet was amazing and had my guest raving about the great taste . The open bar kept flowing all night and the bartender was so nice adding to the enjoyment of the evening. I recently held a party for 104 people at the Manor. As a Bay Ridge native I was excited to support a local business. The hall itself has undergone renovations and looks beautiful. The food was good, and the process to secure the space was painless. Unfortunately, the night of the party, the maitre d' provided horrible service that would lead me to never do business here again. The venue was well aware of our party size and only provided 1 bartender. This led to very long lines at the bar and longer wait times. I asked if one of the food servers could join the bartender for some assistance and was told "no, no one can help" (although after speaking with one of the servers I know it's that no one WANTED to help, no that they were unable. The maitre d' blamed the issue on my guests being 'animals' that 'need to be cut off'. She also repeatedly tried to charge me, cash, for supposed extra people that came in. When I asked for a head count to confirm this added cost she refused. I asked for her manager at which point I was told "his name is Peter, and he's a cop". There was no need for the threat as we had done nothing illegal - not to mention that 70% of the attendees were law enforcement themselves... An hour before the party ended I was told I had to pay, in cash, for 20 additional people (this number of extra people fluctuated from 6-10-20 depending on who she spoke to). I asked for a head count (by asking all attendees to find a seat) and she refused, so I refused to pay. She threatened to either shut down the party, or shut down the bar. I obviously chose to shut the bar. 5 minutes later she came again and offered a cash bar, which I denied. I called the hall the next day to complain and was told that they would "teach her some manners" and would follow up with a possible offer if we hold another event there. I received no follow up. This experience ruined the evening for me and others involved in the constant harassment. I am truly shocked and saddened as Bay Ridge Manor is a local jewel that I have been to several times in my life. read more

For a smaller catering hall it's a pretty decent establishment. I've never personally had a function here but been someone's guest.
