Hosted my 4yr old girl princess ball theme private party here at 10am - since its Fairy Tale Island after all :). I was blown away with the party coordinator, Cathy. She made herself accessible to any question via text leading up to the event and the two staff that helped us with the set up were very kind. I had 17 kids and 24 adults and the space fit them all comfortably. The adults were able to sit in the area outside the party room and eat while peaking over the half wall to check on their kids. The kids had pizza, fries, and honest juice. I love that the package came with cupcakes for the kids too. If you want outside food, there is a $85 fee so we just opted to order catering through them and had zero regrets. Everyone raved how good the food was (spinach pie, penne a la vodka, buffalo wings, and pork slouvaki). Turned out I over ordered and there were left overs. Probably only needed one full tray each instead of two pork slouvaki trays. The only downsides were their no refund policy for no-shows and they should of had a bigger coffee dispenser so the adults didn't have to wait for it. Would absolutely not recommend this playspace. I was here over 2 years ago briefly and today came with my almost 4 and almost 1.5 year old and none of the stuff there was updated/replaced. First of all this place is dirty. Second of all it is not well maintained at all: floor mats and play equipment was peeling and falling apart, none of battery operated toys had fresh batteries, and there was a corner of old and half broken random toys looking like they were picked up from a curbside. Also there was a severely coughing kid meaning that the workers are allowing sick kids into this playspace. Very upsetting experience overall. Wish that the owners took better care of this space. read more

It was a miserable, rainy weekend and being desperate to find a play to have my son's energy emptied out, I decided to call ahead of our arrival to make sure two things weren't happening: 1- there were no birthday parties going on and 2 - it wasn't overly crowded. I was told no and no. I show up, a 3rd birthday party is in full swing, and it was JAMMED with kids ages ranging from barely walking to pre-teens. I was PISSED. Now I've hit the point of no return because I'm parked and here at the counter with my son yanking on the gate to get inside. There is really ZERO supervision here; I still have no idea who works here and who doesn't since no one has a name tag or a shirt on to tell the difference. Kids are running around, eating donuts in the ball pit, and screaming. You must watch your kids at your own risk. Yes, I understand it was a rainy day, but can you enforce some rules? My son likes it here because the music isn't "too loud" and he's right about that, but most of the toys are broken, old, or missing pieces. We had a deeply upsetting and disappointing experience... My sisters and I decided to take 2 of my nephews to play at Fairytale Island for a bit. But one has autism and is non verbal. We did get escorted out of the playground because of how he ran inside the play pen with shoes on. As my sister was about to take his shoes off, one of the workers abruptly dragged him out without hesitation. This felt completely unacceptable to us. One of my sisters tried telling them that he has extreme sensory issues, and that he cannot keep his socks on for an extended period of time. They even offered to pay extra if he refuses to wear his socks. But they refused and told us that it's apart of their 'policy' We did try to put his socks on, but he threw a very extreme tantrum, which is very violent to himself and difficult for us to handle. During his tantrum, there were workers surrounding us, guarding the door to the playpen so that he wouldn't enter. It caused my nephew to feel more overwhelmed during his tantrum. The workers kept insisting that my sister "make him understand," even after she clearly explained his condition and the challenges involved in this situation. We did finally make him calm down enough to exit the building, but he was desperate to come back in. The workers kept looking at them and talking about them while trying to wait for an Uber to fully leave. They were trying to make them leave by demanding to leave. My sister felt very disrespected and hurt by their behavior and actions. I strongly advise the staff need basic training on autism and other developmental disorders. No parent should feel disrespected while trying to help their child navigate overwhelming environments. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place for families with special needs. read more

Never would I come to a place like this cause I don't have kids but my friend has a 4 year old so we took her here. They charge $20 per kid plus one adult and $5 for each additional adult. They have a ball pit, "sand" pit, trampoline, climbing wall, shopping play area.....everything fun for kids. My friend's daughter was premature and this caused her to have sensory issues. She's also on the spectrum. This place was a great choice for her. She loved playing in the "sand". I add quotes cause the sand is actually seeds. It doesn't stick to you and is very easy to clean. Good for her sensory issues. We didn't order anything but they do sell snacks, ice cream and some drinks. And if you don't want anything from there, there's a Dunkin right across the street. read more

Do not go there on Sunday afternoons if you don't want to be disrespected. Went there today with my two nephews, one who is autistic and non-verbal, to which we ended up leaving because of how unprofessional the workers acted towards him. As soon as I went in, my autistic nephew ran into the play pen without knowing that his shoes needed to be off, and before I even got the chance to take them off for him. Without even attempting to tell him to stop, or even speak to him, the worker just grabbed him by his wrist and started pulling him out. Her not even hesitating for a moment before putting hands on him indicates the normality of this act which is unacceptable. I explained to her the situation and told her how I was trying to take his shoes off and she just walked away as if I wasn't even speaking. When he felt his shoes come off he also wanted to take his socks off due to extreme sensory issues. Instead of trying to comprehend the situation, she just blocked out anything I had to say and guarded the door to the playpen. I am completely aware that he isn't allowed to go inside without socks and wasn't going to let him either, but the fact that she was just making us feel so unwelcome because my nephew was crying was unacceptable. My nephew began throwing an extreme tantrum because of the unpleasant feeling of socks on him feet, so me and my 2 siblings were trying to calm him down OUTSIDE of the playpen, where no other kids were present. The same worker and another one were just standing over us repeating the same thing, that it was policy to have socks on. At that point, we weren't even concerned about him going back to the playpen and were just focused on calming him down. Even after explaining the situation more than twice, all they had to say was "control your child". Hearing someone say that to an autistic child while you were trying your best and in the process of doing that was really hurtful. Me, my siblings and nephew ended up leaving, but as we were waiting for our uber to arrive, the workers told us that we had to move from infront of the door because of the way he was acting and that it was "hurting their business". These workers should receive proper training on both knowing how to approach children and how to handle situations accordingly. In no way, shape or form am I saying that they were responsible for calming my child down, but their first approach was extremely unprofessional as well as the way they continued to act. Guarding the playpen door, the outside door, telling us to move from in-front of them, and them constantly standing over my nephew trying to intimidate him and even making him more overwhelmed without even attempting to use their words first with him is extremely unprofessional. Absolutely horrible and disrespectful. They have no regards and no education towards kids with autism. My son has autism and is non-verbal. I had came in earlier to explain to the workers that my son has extreme sensory and gets uncomfortable wearing socks at a long period of time. I had told but them if I can pay extra just in case he doesn't want the socks. They refused and claimed it was 'policy' I explained to them he has deep sensory issues and will refuse the sock because of it. I tried to get him to put the socks on and he threw an explosive tantrum in which he becomes violent towards himself and is really difficult to handle. During the tantrum, they kept surrounding us and guarding the door to the playhouse and continued to explain the situation. They overwhelmed him and caused even more distress to his tantrum and he became erratic and inconsolable. In the midst of it all they kept yelling and telling me to make him understand even though I explained his situation. That as his mother I should be able to make him understand even though he isn't verbal. We finally managed to calm him down enough to leave, and we had to leave with him barefoot no shoes no socks. After we left he wanted to go back so he was lingering in front of the door, they kept looking at us and were talking about us. They even came to the door and told me that he cannot be in front of the door like that, even though he isn't bothering anyone. They shooed us away and guarded the doors. I was completely shocked and disrespected. We are currently living in a world where people should know basic information about autism. This is also a place where I will not be taking any of my kids to. read more

Great place to hang out for 2 hours. I like to come on weekday mornings w my toddler. It's quiet but still has a few other toddlers. It's a great deal for $20 especially when it's cold out. There are a lot of different centers for the kids- huge ball pit, slides, tunnels, "sand" box, ride on vehicles, trampoline, pretend play, wall climbing. They also have tables for parents to work if your child is older. Things are tidy and pretty clean but some toys are broken which doesn't hinder the experience. Mornings can be cold in there until the heat warms the big place up so be aware. read more

Horrible experience! I am a local mother who was looking for alternative play areas for my one-year-old daughter and walk past here all the time. I decided to walk in with my baby girl when we were walking ( I was wearing her in my baby bjorn) to see if it suited her age group and how she reacted to it. An employee abruptly approached me and rudely asked, "What are you doing?" and "What are you looking for?" I was taken off guard and told her I was showing my daughter the place and seeing if this would be a good place for her to play. She continued to ask me, "What are you doing? Did she want to play here or what?" I said, "Actually, not anymore. This place is obviously horrible, and we are leaving now." Would give this 3.5 stars. I brought my son here on President's Day back in February and had two more friends join us. Being that it was a holiday (day off from school), maybe it was a bit more packed than usual. I'm not sure if they are strict with the age restriction here (as other open play places we've been to are) but there were definitely much older kids (8-10 year olds?) running around the play space and jumping on the trampoline, which was concerning for me, having a small toddler wandering around in the same area. Several times I had to hold onto him as older kids came racing by. The play space needs some TLC. Corners of the slide and ball pit area are torn and worn out. Definitely did not feel as clean and well kept as other play places we've been to. There wasn't much space to hang up our jackets but there are several small cubbies for kids' shoes and small belongings. You do not have to sign up in advance for open play. You sign a waiver and sign in for your 2 hour time slot when you come in and pay. There are some snacks available for purchase and a seating area up front as well. In terms of play, there are several activities for young kids. There is a slide and ball pit area, a sandbox area with construction toys, and a pretend play area (e.g., toy kitchen). There are some cars for kids to ride on but there really isn't much space to actually ride them. read more

I was very excited to return here, as we haven't been since the shutdowns last March. I'll be blunt - if you are at all concerned about Coronavirus, I would skip this place. When we arrived, we were the only people in the place, but it was a wreck and no one came to clean for over an hour, and even that was just putting things away. Nothing got wiped down. Masks aren't enforced here at all for children of any age. Also, their cafe is right next to the play area and people definitely sit there and eat maskless. (As they are allowed to, of course, I'm just saying) It's $20 flat and you can stay for no longer than 2 hours now. read more

Came here for a friends baby shower and the place was very nice. A lot of stuff for the kids to play with. They have slides, ball pit, kitchen area and even a small room for the party with decorations. The only thing is that parking is horrible. Took us 30min to find a spot two ave away. This place was just okay. We went on a Sunday and it was PACKED, which I think was part of what turned us off. It's not really for infants. I would argue that the ideal age range is probably 2-8. My daughter is just about a year and was totally overwhelmed. There were lots of big kids, who frankly looked a bit old to be there, who were playing rough. It was really chaotic and I didn't get the sense that it was very clean, but again hard to assess when there are so many people. On the good side, I love the fact that they take every kids temperature before letting them play. The food and drinks are good. I also like the fact that you pay a flat price to play as opposed to hourly. I may take my daughter back when she's older and maybe during off hours. This place just wasn't for us. read more

My son absolutely adores this place, and my appreciation that this place didn't close down during covid as many other spots did makes me very grateful, thus the 3 stars. However, the pre and post covid really doesn't feel like it exist here. There is ZERO cap on how many people were let in, no one is enforcing mask being worn on the children or adults, and I do not see any efforts at sanitation here. Listen I get it, it's a kids playpen, it's not gonna be the most sterile field and I get that. However the fact that people came pouringgggg in, multiple adults to 1 child for no reason, just makes no sense. The only people who wear mask are the ones who CHOSE to and the adults who enforce their children do, other than that it's a free for all. Avoid this place on weekends, especially if you have young kids as it is just not safe or fun for them. They let way too many people in and the "big kids" ruin it for everyone being too aggressive, throwing balls, and just running wild. The "monitors" who are supposed to be keeping things safe do nothing and unfortunately way too many parents just do not watch their kids. It's unfortunate - it's a nice place and is generally clean but they need to hire more monitors and need to limit the crowds. For $18/pop, the store should be able to afford this! I took my niece here on a Saturday before they closed thinking I had beat the rush. WRONG. I like that they take the children temperature before they can enter but I hope they also take into consideration if I kid has a cough or looks sick. The customer service for the adults, the ones who are actually paying could use a little work. If I have a credit card I know works and worked literally minutes before, I would appreciate not being rushed because your system is slow an showing an error. If I had to wait on line, then the people who came in after me and are behind me, can wait a minute or two while you take what I consider an extreme amount of money from me. Aside from what I considered poor customer service, this place does have a lot of PROS. They have "monitors" inside the play area who kind of watch the children and the area keep everything tidy. These ladies are making sure the kids are tripping on the balls from the ball pit that have been thrown outside, or the fake sand that looks like sprinkles isn't being thrown everywhere (Side note: I find the fake sprinkles to be a choking hazard so be aware). There is a lot of variety of things to do, they even have a little kitchen grocery store room which is great for toddlers who like to pick stuff up and put them down. Some CONS they should take into consideration is the age limit. I went on a day where there were a lot of older and bigger children. I'm talking kids who could go out to the park on their own. It's like the preteens had the run of the place and the toddlers were relegated to smaller areas for safety. I have mixed feeling on this place but I plan on going back with a mom and daughter duo who love this place. There's an imaginative play room with stores, kitchen, and dress up. There's also a small climbing wall, toy ride on cars, a faux sand pit, a large ball pit, mini trampoline, and slides. Also, no capacity limit or at least it is not stated anywhere, was rather crowded when we visited. The area with tables where adults wait for their kids or where all can have a snack (little caffe on premises has ice cream and some snacks) was not cleaned while I was there although some tables obviously needed cleaning.
