I brought my son to Hapik during a recent school break, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the facility, staff, and overall experience. This is a supervised, climb-at-your-own-pace experience rather than formal instruction. If you're looking for climbing classes with instructors, this is not for you. If you're looking for a climbing facility where kids decide what they want and don't want to do, this place is perfect. Booking & Check-In: The online process was seamless--purchasing tickets, selecting a time slot, and completing the waiver form all happened smoothly. Pro tip: fill out the waiver online when you buy tickets to save time at check-in. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved quickly. Safety & Orientation: All kids in our time slot gathered in a separate room for harness fitting and a thorough safety video. Since each harness must be fitted individually by an instructor, this takes some time--hence the 20-minute early arrival recommendation. It's time well spent for peace of mind. The Facility: The climbing courses are fantastic, with plenty of variety across different difficulty levels. The auto-belay system lets kids climb independently while staying securely connected at all times. With colorful themed walls, vertical challenges, and ropes courses reaching 26 feet high, there's no shortage of excitement. Everything feels extremely safe, with staff members consistently available throughout. There's also a play structure for younger children (4 feet and under). The Staff: I was particularly grateful when a staff member noticed my son losing confidence midway through (even on courses he'd already completed, like the pirate plank). This instructor took genuine time to help him regain his footing. It helped a lot. The Location: Hapik is located in Industry City, which means you're surrounded by excellent food options. We took advantage of a $9 1st of the month promo. Parking (free parking at least)on a random Wednesday afternoon was not so easy. The place was easy to find though once we parked. Clean play area, bathrooms need improvement, food offerings need improvement (albeit IC foods are right outside the door) amazing staff and great variety of climbing textures(?). Indoor climbing place suitable for children 5 years and up. There facility is not large however it makes good use of the space. There's a ropes course you can go on if you're able to successfully climb up 3 walls. My son was scared at first but was able to have a pleasant experience. For $35, it includes access to soft play which consists of one play area. My 2 year old had to pay $20 for access to the soft play area and was bored after 10 mins so I wouldn't suggest bringing anyone under 5 here. The plus side is you don't need to rent any climbing shoes. Fortunately, the climbing sessions are 90 mins so it was not too crowded for a Saturday. Hapik Industry City is a great "first timers" rock climbing gym due to its short climbing time slots, 100% auto belays, and easy walls with big hand holds. It tops out at 26 feet. In addition to the climbing walls, there is a kids (4 ft and under) play structure, a baby crawling corner, a treasure hunt wall add on, and a ropes course that circles the ceiling. They offer snacks at the front desk, and have lockers or cubbies, and large, bright restrooms. Air conditioning was excellent. HAPIK hosts birthday parties in an upstairs room, and every other Thursday is an adults only night. Making reservations on the website is super easy and its good to get the waivers out of the way. I highly recommend arriving for the early slots in the day, as later in our time slot, we started having to wait for turns at routes and there is not a lot of waiting space. Once you're checked in, the staff will harness you up and you go to brief demo on how to use the auto belay and how to descend. Its a clever two slot key that ensures you're clipped in correctly before you climb, but it does need some hand strength. The auto belay will catch anyone who falls off the wall and help you descend. I had a seamless experience with the auto belays on the walls I climbed, they're kept in good condition. There are also a few staff walking the room to help kids disconnect from the belays and keep order, but they are not there to give pointers or coach. There are supposedly 50 different routes and the minions climbed right up until the end of 90 minutes. They were exhausted, accomplished, and sad we had to go. read more

We hosted a private event, and their team was professional, helpful, and fully present throughout the experience. They took the time to clearly walk our students through all safety precautions, which we appreciated. The space was clean, well-managed, and the energy was just right. We were able to play our own music, keeping it clean and appropriate, which added to the overall vibe and made the experience feel even more personalized for our group. Came in here last minute on a Saturday late afternoon. Me my husband and my 8 yr old. To fill out the waiver was so annoying. When we finally figured it out. They charged us for my daughter and we went in. Seems like you can bring food/drinks because they didn't check our bags and it was pretty smooth to go in. There were lockers or just cubby's to put your belongings if you choose to. There is a small earring area- small concession. Someone has to put the harness on you or your child. . The staff member explains how to work that click and how to get down etc. the place is bigger than i thought and very clean . Ppl were nice . Can't wait to go back read more

Omg, this is a little hidden gem !!! Even though it's right on a busy area!!! The Staff is soooooo nice, helpful, and very very professional ! Very very clean, and very safe! My children loved loved it !! Especially the lady whom helped explained the rules , the way to use the equipments etc.. she made my kids day and mine!!! I think she was the tallest of the girls working there ! Long dreads, beautiful and always always smiling! Even when my daughter was scared half way through her climbing, and froze , she came in soooooo quick!!! And climbed that wall I. 2 seconds !! To help my child !!! Unbelievable !! Bless you !! Had such a fun experience climbing with my daughter. Hapik is an introduction course to get kids acclimated with boulder/rock climbing. There are safety ropes and harnesses at every rock station. Staff was super helpful and friendly and were really patient with kids. My daughter initially had a difficult time with ascending down from the top of the wall; with the help of staff members whom were readily there to coach my child the steps to safely let go of the rope and calm her fear of heights. I myself had no issue climbing my way up, but struggled with ascending down as well, I closed my eyes gave a quick shout and held on tight to the rope for dear life. The landing area are all foam mats and once each wall is completed, instructors are there to assist with clamping the floor mat back onto the locket of the wall; There are plenty free lockers to store belongings and vending machines to purchase light snacks. This is simply a fun place. People often think it's just for kids (and it's mostly kids who use it), but as an adult who decided to give it a try, I had so much fun here. A fun activity for youth and adults. Definitely geared towards kids but hosting adult hours would be nice. Not quite as big as I was expecting but well-designed. Food and drink options are very limited and all sugar. The Dippin Dots machine will steal your money. The place (floors, cubbies, equipment) doesn't appear to get a daily cleaning to remove dirt/dust - especially since street shoes are allowed - and could be cleaner. Restrooms were clean. Just threw a birthday party for my now-9-year-old there and it was honestly perfect. 10/10. The staff could not have been lovelier or more attentive. The party space is really nice and clean and well-equipped. The kids had a blast in the gym. We had a ton of help every step of the way, including our own party hosts! Climbing: Great place for kids into climbing (who isn't?!). My 4.5 year old had a great time trying numerous different walls, crocs, soccer balls, ice cream cones, monkey bars, 3D cubes, etc etc. She can get to 2/3 high on the easier ones and 1/3 on the harder ones. I am sure she can reach the top if we come back again. The self descending system is safe and fun. Older kids definitely have even more fun as most things become easier with longer arms and legs. The rope/zip line course looks amazing. Wait: we (two adults, two kids) came here sat 10:30am. A good number of kids but not crowded. Barely waited for any wall (one kid per wall). 90 min slot is more than sufficient. When we left by noon, there was a little wait for snacking tables but not a big deal. Staff: friendly helping hooking and unhooking kids if parents run into problem. Would be better if they provide some instructions or pointers about climbing strategies and how to overcome fears etc (the top is quite high even for adults) Soft play zone: my 2 year old had a good time but it does get old after 10-15 min, which is challenging if you have different age kids. We took the younger one to watch the older one and snack a bit to pass time. My 4.5 year old ended up playing in the soft play area for the last 20 min (many 5 and under did) which became fun again for the 2 year old. Pricing: $35 for climbing kid and $20 for small kid (soft play only). It is great that they don't charge for adult observers. We didn't do the family package of $90 for three climbers but it is a good deal. The staff said it would cover the four of us so basically we all could play and the small kid could play for free in the soft play. Young climbers and first time rope/zip line players would appreciate a parent playmate instead of a parent just watching them play from below. Logistics: instructed to arrive 15 min early to do paper work and learn about the hooking system before your play time. You could probably get away with a little later than that. We split as one adult for each kid at the beginning because the small kid and big kid areas are separated by openable gates. But later on we reconvened at the big kid area (small kid can only watch) and then the small kid area (everybody can play). Overall: a great fun and value place (especially for 4.5 and above, smaller kids could tag along but not that much fun for them). I expect them get busier soon. We don't live that close by but I see this place can be also great for their after school and birthday party offering. read more
