Honestly, my little ones started testing my sanity by our 3rd day on the trip, but then my SIL recommended I take the kids to PlayWell that morning...and they loved it. We dropped in for two hours and the time flew by. Both kids were so happy, got to burn off their energy, and I didn't even get the "I'm bored" complaint! The highlights: 1. The Ultimate Heat Escape: It's spacious, bright, super clean, and beautifully air-conditioned. A total oasis when it's melting outside. 2. Caters to different interests: The variety of activities is top-notch. They have high-energy set-ups like swings and a zip line, brain-boosting pegboards and puzzles, and pretend play activities like a kitchen and wooden train sets. 3. Smart layout: The space is designed with different zones, so kids can actually get a little separation and quiet space if they prefer, especially nice for the younger kids. 4. Perfect for all paces: It easily handles everyone from crawlers to high-energy kids who like to run or bounce around. We've been to a lot of play spaces, and this one has been one of our favorites. A must-visit!

We went to Space Club for my daughter's friend's birthday party, and it was our first time there…read more We honestly didn't know much about the place before going, but we were pleasantly surprised. There is so much for kids to do! The first floor has a big ball pit, slide, swings and lots of other things to keep the kids busy. My daughter was having a great time exploring everything. The party was on the second floor, and this is where my daughter found her favorite activity -- the bead pool. She sat there for almost an hour picking out different beads and making necklaces and bracelets. She loved it so much and probably would have stayed there even longer if she could! She also really enjoyed building with the wooden blocks. They had big foam blocks out on the terrace too, which she had fun building with. I liked that there was a good mix of things to do. It wasn't only running around and climbing. Kids could also sit, build, create and just enjoy doing their own thing. The birthday room was really spacious too. There was plenty of room for the kids and parents, as well as space for food, decorations and activities. It never felt crowded. I also liked having the bead pool, wooden blocks and foam blocks on the same floor as the party room. The kids could enjoy different activities and still stay close to the party. The third floor was closed when we visited, so we didn't get to see that part. But honestly, there was already so much going on that my daughter didn't even get a chance to try everything that was open. We really enjoyed our time at Space Club. My daughter had a great time at the birthday party, and we left feeling like we still had more to see and do. We would definitely come back for a family day and spend more time exploring. It's also a really nice option for a kids' birthday party, especially if you want a place with plenty of room and different activities to keep the kids happy. Hopefully we'll get to explore the third floor next time!

Check-in and check-out are very fast and efficient. Once you've created an account on their website, you simply provide your phone number at check-in and again at check-out, and that's it. You can use the credit card on file or choose a different payment method. The only thing that wasn't very clear was how the lockers work. You need to bring your own lock if you want to secure one. We didn't have a lock, and I didn't see many lockers actually locked, but we had no issues. A quick explanation at arrival would have been helpful. In terms of cleanliness, I actually had a very positive experience. During the two hours we were there, I saw multiple staff members actively cleaning the space several times, including common areas and play zones. That said, beads in the bead room do tend to scatter everywhere. While the space was generally clean, the loose beads can be a potential slipping or choking hazard and could benefit from closer monitoring. Outside food and drinks are allowed, which is a huge bonus compared to other indoor play spaces that require you to purchase everything from their café. The café itself is nice, spacious, and clean. High chairs are available, and there's plenty of seating for adults to relax while kids play. The bathrooms are spacious as well, though not all of them have changing tables. Overall, Space Club offers tons of engaging activities and clearly succeeds at keeping kids happy--mine had an amazing time and ran around nonstop for the full two hours we were there. I also appreciated how warm and cozy it felt on a frigid winter day. It's open seven days a week, 365 days a year, which is especially great for school closure days that fall on a Monday when many museums and other attractions are closed. We'll definitely be back.

This is not simply a local spot that happens to carry Monopoly, Clue, and Risk (not that there is anything wrong with any of those games, mind you). Rather, this is a place to come to discover a game you never knew existed and will shortly feel you could never live without. I discovered the now incredibly popular Codenames here several years ago and--while a breakout available everywhere now--is the perfect example of the kind of clever, inventive games places like this nurture, offer a chance for people to discover, and give a chance to grow. Came in here recently to find a game for my teenage nephew, and staff was incredibly helpful--passionate and knowledgeable about their product, and patient enough to ask about the giftee and demo/explain a couple of games and help you find the right gift. The place is arranged unlike many retail shops-- only a couple of shelves of games, with copious amounts of seating and tables. That's the "lab" part of the shop--they offer lots of group sessions for kids (and a couple for adults). I love it in concept, and these seem wildly popular based on attendance, and a perfect example of how this is a shop based as much on love of what they do as to simply sell products.

The trainers are experienced climbers who give great tips and techniques to help you progress as a climber. The routes here are set a little harder than other places but if you can master the techniques they're highlighting it does help you get better faster. The crowd that comes here is also local and super friendly. It's a nice departure from Brooklyn boulders as its pretty quiet and much less crowded. The package for a 10 pack is also quite reasonable if you want to really concentrate and get better at climbing. I guess the only real detractor here is that the climbing gym isn't open for open climb all day. It usually has after school classes and individual training sessions earlier on and open climb starts between 630 and 7 depending on the day.

This time I show up for open climb and the place is not ready for climbing, so I ask the owner, who happened to be there, what is going on. He says no one really shows up for open climb Tuesday, so we are going to have to make some decisions. In the middle of our conversation he walks back behind the wall and ignores me as I ask him what that means. He didn't have the decency to explain anything he just hid from view as I was trying to talk with him. I wanted to ask why don't you email your customers when you are going to close? Because I get emails all the time about their new products and services... It felt like because I was a climbing member and not one of his training clients paying him big bucks, I didn't deserve a response. Last I checked my payments have cleared for the last year and I paid for a service he is not delivering on, the least I can get is an explanation. What a prick.
