Visited Space Club with my kid for open play, and overall it was a really fun experience--my child absolutely loved it and stayed happily engaged the entire time. Check-in and check-out are very fast and efficient. Once you've created an account on their website, you simply provide your phone number at check-in and again at check-out, and that's it. You can use the credit card on file or choose a different payment method. The only thing that wasn't very clear was how the lockers work. You need to bring your own lock if you want to secure one. We didn't have a lock, and I didn't see many lockers actually locked, but we had no issues. A quick explanation at arrival would have been helpful. In terms of cleanliness, I actually had a very positive experience. During the two hours we were there, I saw multiple staff members actively cleaning the space several times, including common areas and play zones. That said, beads in the bead room do tend to scatter everywhere. While the space was generally clean, the loose beads can be a potential slipping or choking hazard and could benefit from closer monitoring. Outside food and drinks are allowed, which is a huge bonus compared to other indoor play spaces that require you to purchase everything from their café. The café itself is nice, spacious, and clean. High chairs are available, and there's plenty of seating for adults to relax while kids play. The bathrooms are spacious as well, though not all of them have changing tables. Overall, Space Club offers tons of engaging activities and clearly succeeds at keeping kids happy--mine had an amazing time and ran around nonstop for the full two hours we were there. I also appreciated how warm and cozy it felt on a frigid winter day. It's open seven days a week, 365 days a year, which is especially great for school closure days that fall on a Monday when many museums and other attractions are closed. This place is just great for kids of all ages. Love coming here on rainy snowy days. Parking can suck sometimes tho. But my favorite part is the cafe . The starcuterie is just so delicious and cute. My daughter loves the star pbj and the smoothies. Their [iced] coffee and matcha is better than Starbucks or Dunkin tbh. Had a bday party at a different location and deff recommend! read more

Space Club's Fort Greene venue joins its original Greenpoint location as its second innovative sensory play space. While the GP one is a single floor, this new location has 4 floors (the top floor is currently under construction) and many more areas to enjoy. Pros: - I love all the different interactive rooms, the beautiful use of color, texture, and space, and the comfortable modern lounge seating for adults to hang back and chat while the kids go crazy. The walls that are covered in bright-colored fur, hair, and sequins are so fun. The floors are spacious and have lots of room to run around. - Friendly staff Cons: - There's a powerful and unpleasant chemical smell throughout the building, probably from all the new plastic or construction materials. I thought my nose would get used to it but still smelled so bad when we left. I hope the staff does more to ventilate or purify the air especially since this space is for kids. Overall, an awesome place center to tire out the kids when it's freezing in Brooklyn. Hope the smell goes away soon, and am excited to return! Space Club in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is an absolute disappointment and a potential ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) violation that needs to be investigated and shut down until brought up to compliance. Went a few months ago when they first opened. The building has three floors and no elevator, making it impossible for families with disabilities, mobility challenges, or adaptive strollers to access the space safely. Each floor has multiple stair landings ...roughly six flights in total and there are no accommodations in place. This is a clear failure to meet ADA accessibility standards for a public family venue. As a mother, it was physically exhausting and unsafe to carry my autistic toddler up and down all those stairs, especially while also assisting my child's grandmother, who struggles with mobility and had great difficulty managing the steps. Families should never have to choose between inclusion and safety, yet this facility makes that impossible. Beyond accessibility, this environment is not autism or sensory friendly. It's overwhelming, loud, and poorly designed. The "bead pit" is an obvious tripping and choking hazard beads were scattered across floors, staircases, and the entrance. It literally felt like stepping on Legos barefoot while balancing a child in your arms. For children with sensory sensitivities, this kind of setup can trigger distress, meltdowns, or injuries. The first floor ball pit is another major safety risk. The entire climbing structure including the ladder and slide is made of metal with no padding. While trying to play with my child, my foot became jammed between the metal bars hidden under the balls, and it swelled immediately. I could barely walk afterward. No play space should expose parents or children to such preventable injuries. The staff never cleaned or maintained the area, the café was overpriced and nearly empty, and several swings and play structures were broken. The lack of supervision and upkeep shows complete disregard for guest safety. Only one bathroom on the main floor was working. The rest were out of order. Adding insult to injury, the owner announced a "members-only" policy that would have restricted weekends to non-members and made Monday through Friday for members only. The cost was outrageous -- $3,229 per year, $299 per month, a $299 annual sign-up fee, and $99 per additional sibling. For a facility that isn't ADA compliant or inclusive of children with disabilities, these prices are exploitative and unethical. After public backlash, the owner retracted the policy but then sent an unprofessional email to all customers titled "we f*cked up." That language alone shows a stunning lack of professionalism and respect for families. Overall, Space Club is unsafe, discriminatory, and poorly managed. It excludes children with disabilities, endangers families, and fails to meet ADA Title III accessibility requirements for public spaces. The City of New York and ADA authorities should immediately investigate this business for noncompliance and safety risks. Until this facility installs an elevator, ensures sensory-friendly design, and meets proper safety and maintenance standards, it should not be allowed to operate. I will never return and strongly urge other families especially those raising children with disabilities or sensory needs to avoid this establishment entirely. I'd love to give it zero stars but unfortunately can't. The only positive I can say was the bathroom was clean with a nice changing table And they have lockers. That's it. We were here for a birthday party in September 2025 and the staff could not be more accommodating and sweet. Kayleigh was wonderful, as were the other staff working that day. My little one loved exploring each floor, diving into the ball pits, wading in the bead pit, jumping on the trampolines and peeling stickers to put on the wall in the glow in the dark room. The bathrooms were spacious and had some thoughtful items to use. I liked that there were lockers for your items and shoes and the rest of the space could be explored in the socks. We were there for hours and my little guy couldn't get enough. We had a great time as birthday party guests. We also received a pair of their branded socks which were super grippy and very appreciated. Later on, we checked out the food on offer and got a chance to try one of their fruit drinks (bought the yellow one) and we enjoyed the refreshing taste. Overall we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to go back again! Wish they made one closer to South Brooklyn (hint hint)! read more

We are tourists to NYC and our friend who lives in Brooklyn invited us to come and hang out with her and her kiddo here. So glad she did! Our kids, ages 13 and 7, had an amazing time, and as parents we were so happy we came. Normal indoor playgrounds are loud, bright, and feel like germ terrariums. This place was mellow, nicely furnished, and a welcome breath of fresh air when it comes to a kid's play space. We ALL (adults included!) enjoyed relaxing in the star pit, and our kids played endlessly - they would have stayed longer if we'd let them. Highly recommend! read more

Came here for a birthday party and I thought checking in would provide us with more info besides no shoes policy. Also, none of got the grip socks that is supposedly included in the price. I don't know if you're supposed to bring your own lock for the lockers or if they provide one because no one mentioned it. I've been to another indoor place space before and that place was impressively clean and though it's on a smaller scale I actually saw people cleaning throughout my time there. I know a lot of people wonders how this place keeps clean and it gave me a false impression coming here that this place was going to be insanely clean, but I disagree. I never saw anyone clean at this venue and the bead room is just an accident waiting to happen. So many tiny beads scattered all throughout the floor and none of the staff picked it up and cleaned it . The beads are a choking hazard for the little ones and also a hazard for anyone running or walking throughout that place. It's like I didn't sign up for acupressure, okay? They really should work on that aspect of the beads room and have somebody actually maintain that area. There were also a lot of the beads found in the bathrooms, since it's like sand - just gets everywhere, but hence another sign no one cleans this place as people claimed. Since beads were repeatedly seen in different restrooms. The sticky note and highlighter area needed a lot of help. A lot of the caps were all scattered throughout the table and on the floor and so a lot of the highlighters were completely dried out, because no one is putting the caps back on. I tried to put most of the caps back on, but as I'm doing this, I see this short man who is a staff here - just hiding out in the corner and texting on his phone. I don't understand why he wasn't doing it and this was what I witnessed throughout my time here. He was constantly hiding and texting. Never saw him cleaning. I am just confused on how others would say how clean it is here. I do appreciate this place allowing your own food and drinks here. Because the other place that I went to didn't have great food, but they require you to only buy from their cafe. This place didn't and I love that part. I wish the cafe offered more eco friendly Items. It was cute, but just a lot of unnecessary plastic that will end up in landfill. I do appreciate the wooden utensils. They had high chairs here and a couple of places for people to sit. The other con of this place is where is the air? It felt very stuffy inside the ball room and not to mention it was very warm throughout the entire place and it was 60 degrees outside. I would have appreciated air conditioning and air flow. The bathroom is spacious, and only few places had a changing table. I would recommend this place over the place I have been to in Flushing, Funzy. Definitely a lot of activity, but don't go there thinking this place is going to be super clean, since that set the bar up for me and it didn't meet my expectations. read more
