1800 Margarita on the rocks with salt.
    Cris T.

This place never disappoints. I came in to order food to go. I sat at the bar and order a drink okay may two drinks while I waited for the food. I ordered chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, house salad, and a Swiss burger with sauté onions and bacon. While I waited for the order, I had a finely crafted 1800 margarita on the rocks with salt. The bar tender was super attentive. The drink was amazing. I went home and had the burger and mozzarella sticks. Both were amazing. Perfect amount of sauté onions, bacon, and a burger patty on an English Muffin. The salad was fresh and the chicken tenders with fries were great according to my guests. The price was right. The place is clean and always decorated. I will definitely be back.

This is one of the neighborhood's institutions! Meaning, it's been here since forever! They allegedly don't have a happy hour - until January. I never realized how HUGE this place is! You should definitely come for the decor! They decorate for almost all the holidays! Christmas, I think is the best time - my picture doesn't do it justice! Had the zucchini sticks (which is kind alike mozzarella sticks but made w/zucchini) w/this white sauce that was pretty good. Oh and we also had buffalo wings w/extra blue cheese. The drinks, were ok: Martini, White Chocolate Martini (if I remember correctly), and a Malibu and pineapple. The first two drinks were severely over poured that it SPILLED

Came in on a lightly rainy day. My friends and I grabbed a table near the bar and ordered beers and some appetizers. The chili over fries was so good! But what's won be over is the effort in decor. Christmas is all over the walls and ceiling of this place. There's a train that runs above around the bar! And the dining room is even more decked out! I can't wait to go back for a sit down meal. Anyway, the staff was so nice, behind and outside the bar. I was gawking at the dining room and one person was like "you can go inside and look around if you want!" and I felt so shy cuz people were eating I'll be back very soon!

I love this place for the holiday decorations and how festive they are but especially all the train shows going around the restaurant. Every thing here is delicious, the prices are unbeatable. Their daily specials are epic. I ordered the strip steak here twice because you just can't beat it at $27! The Mac n cheese and chili wings are also delicious. The expresso martini is yummy. The menu is pretty old fashion and I wouldn't be surprised if this place has been around for decades. The staff is great and they'll let you take pics in front of the decorations. My steak each time was perfect temp, fresh, and eats like butter. Make reservations for dinner. Even on a Monday night this place is over an hour wait and CROWDED!

Awesome vibes, very cool mix of people of all ages, cultures & walks of life. Friendly & hardworking staff. Really cool interior. I wish they had better music. The food is reasonably priced, but not great. I also wish they had a German pils. The vibes & the cold beer & really dope interior & crowd good bartender trump all of that, tho. Vibes are really 90% - of everything in life !

Fun festive restaurant! We really enjoyed the little decorations. Everywhere you looked, there were new surprises with the decor. As expected, it was packed for a weekend even though it was early for dinner, so we had to wait a while for a seat. Street parking was tricky and we ended up having to park at the garage. The chocolate martini was delicious. We loved the mussels as well. Worth stopping by especially if you are planning to see the Dyker Heights lights

Party of 6 after a block of halloween festivities on 5th ave. was seated pretty quickly . They brought us a bread basket and one of the breads had walnuts and cranberry omg delicious . 3 of us got burgers they did mess up on one of them with the cheese but not a big deal. They had a kids meal which is great when you have kids . My husband raves about the mashed potatoes. Beautiful decor. Nice family friendly place.

Local neighborhood hang it seems. Went to see the famous holiday house and stopped by skintight with some teenagers. The teenagers felt overwhelmed because it is a pub..but once we were seated in the back it was very family oriented. We ordered apps and a steak dinner..drank Shirley temples and hard drinks for the adults. The drinks were priced well and really good.our food was regular pub fare. Service was friendly and efficient. It was great seeing the resturant decorated in valentine decor. Cute for a casual date

As always absolutely outstanding service and the most amazing food for the best prices! Skinflints going strong.

Skinflints has a fun and festive scheme of decor, complete with blinky lights and Christmas trains, to match the famously decked out homes nearby in Dyker Heights. As such, the establishment has a neighborhood bar atmosphere but also attracts tourists from at least as far as Alabama, from a conversation I overheard between a drawling table and their server. Service was rather quick and methodical, and my hot drink and steak au poivre were well received. My boyfriend liked his ribeye also, so it was a pleasant night out for us, at his recommendation, I might add (he had been enchanted by the bar during a per-chance visit while observing the lights with friends from out of town a week prior).

Good local food and drinks! My friends and I stopped by here on a random stop by in bay ridge based on their cute love decor on the outside. It was a bustling Friday and we had a short wait for our table so we got some drinks and sat at a bar table. The decor in here is phenomenal, I mean they must spend all their time and efforts to making this place an experience. We got seated at our table and I was constantly amazed at the trains and other decorations for bday. I definitely got some cute pics. The food was really good. I had the steak with loaded potato and veggies. The veggies were cooked to perfection and the steak and mushrooms as well. This is definitely a good date night, family dinner or friends hangout spot.

    Mozzarella sticks

Been craving a burger and Skinflints ribs and they absolutely delivered. The bacon cheeseburger was stacked high and packed with flavor--crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a perfectly seasoned patty that was juicy in every bite. The fries were spot-on too: golden, crisp, and the kind you keep snacking on even when you're full. Then came the ribs... fall-off-the-bone tender with a rich, smoky glaze that hit every note just right. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes, it was the kind of plate that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. The appetizers set the tone for an amazing meal. The mozzarella sticks were everything you want them to be--crispy on the outside with that perfect cheese pull on the inside. They came out hot and delicious. The coconut shrimp was just as impressive. Light, crunchy, and coated in just the right amount of sweet coconut, had a great mix of flavor. The dipping sauce brought it all together. Overall, an incredible meal--hearty, satisfying, and worth every bite. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Service was amazing and the place looked like a bar you'd find at the North Pole.

Steak with white american cheese with the works (onions, peppers, and hot peppers) There's an option for mayo, I'm not sure who's getting mayo on their cheesesteak but hey, you do you! The owner comes to the front and I tell him I saw this spot on social media. Everything looks amazing, I can't wait to try my sandwich. How long have you been in business? I'm expecting 18 months, he tells me over 30 years?? Wow! Not only is Philadelphia Grille a sandwich shop but they're also serving pizza for decades. I must point out, Philadelphia Grille is a very small spot. Walking inside, you're faced with a small counter. Once you have your food, they have tables and chairs in a covered lanai. I'd be a chilly Billy eating my sandwich so I took it to go. Once I get back to my Brooklyn Fortress of Solitude I dig in. The cheesesteak my way? Dynamite. Italian bread from Brooklyn wrapping up a cheesy meat fest. Philadelphia Grille did everything right in Brooklyn! I can't wait to come back and try the roast pork. The restaurant is not overly expensive -- the $65.00 lunch bill below suggests a high-end selection and/or apps. I had a pineapple mint lemonade, sea bass on saffron risotto, a lovely salad topped with potato gnocchi, and cake dessert for $85 inclusive of 20% tip and tax. Nearly everything tasted fresh and homemade. Worth it. If this were served in Restaurant Row, the bill would be $40 more and the food not nearly as good. Because Beets & Carrots offers something rare and startlingly somehow in decline: food that tastes like food the body happily accepts as such. They serve meals that stand out simply because they taste like food. It was nice to dine outside the home feeling confident no digestive issues, lethargy, brain fog, bloating, etc were around the corner. You can tell that someone health conscious who cares about how ingredients show up in the meal is in the kitchen, someone who thinks food is both very fun and very serious. Least favorite: The lemonade. Mostly personal preference here, as I prefer a much tarter, less watery lemonade with higher lemon:water volume ratio. But I think most people would like it; I would get it again. Favorite: Both the entree and salad (which surprised me with a deliciously simple horseradish dressing) were great, but the bass wins in my book. Skin crisped to perfection...very flavorful fish and a great cut...creamy, perfect risotto. I appreciated that the risotto wasn't too salty as well.

Home is where the heart is and there is nothing quite like a home cooked meal. I have to say most Bay Ridgians enjoy dining local and in our neighborhood. I love to support neighborhood gems because majority of restaurant owners here, love their clients, establish loyalty through cooking delicious food and provide consistent great customer service. I was in the mood for a " comfort food"breakfast, you know, eggs, avocado, mozzarella, tomato, deliciousness and I found it on the menu simply named "Breakfast Sandwich". Which consists of voila: Mozzarella, avocado, tomato jam, arugula, crispy bacon, dijonaise, sunny side up egg between multigrain toasts. I ordered this sans the bacon ( requested turkey bacon which they do not have). What arrived in my plate was this decadent open faced egg sandwich that looked delectable.. and was!! Let's first talk about the wheat toast: I tasted it naked and it simply melted in my mouth. The ingredients worked well together, perfect synchronicity. I used one half of the toast to sop up any fallen ingredients. Highly recommend! For a drink, I wanted something a bit different, thus, ordered the Mango Mint Peach tea, fruity with a hint of mint. Loved it and went well with the Sammy! There are lovely options besides breakfast sandwiches like quinoa, oatmeal, granola, pancakes, French toast.. breakfast is served all day and lunch is served @noon. The mousse itself is rich, creamy, savory, and packed with umami. I just wish it came with something better on the side. The pita was a little underwhelming and was not warmed all the way through. The crispy potato tart was excellent. The potato was super crispy, and a bite with the salmon, egg, sour cream, and potato together was perfect. The lightly dressed arugula helped cut through the richness and made for a nice palate cleanser. The burger looked pretty simple when it arrived, but it ended up being surprisingly good. The patty was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Overall, a great neighborhood spot and one I would happily come back to.
