You order your food at the front counter, and while we waited, the owner surprised us with a complimentary almond croissant since it was our first visit. It was absolutely delicious -- flaky, fresh, and easily one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. The menu has a great variety of options. We went with the steak and eggs and buttermilk street pancakes. The steak was tender and full of flavor, the home fries were seasoned perfectly, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. We also tried the Tropical Bliss Juice, a refreshing blend of pineapple, mango, and orange that's freshly pressed to order. We ordered some breakfast and wasn't notified about the fryer. sadly the fryer was broken so we couldn't have chips with guacamole or tater tots. There was. Absolutely not. I got a eggs Benedict and got a egg muffin sandwhich with one piece of Turkey bacon. Theres no hollandaise sauce. I had to ask for it and the chef was confused. He and the server had to read the menu to see what sauce I meant. Then they gave me this watery sauce. I'm completely confused; it tasted like watered down mustard sauce in a small container. Things just get worst from then! I cut into the egg and it's wayyyy over cooked.. at this point I just don't even want to eat it no more. I could've gotten better at the diner. Friendly service, clean but a bit run down environment. They had pastries for sale, which looked good, but the selection was limited. Lots of seating indoors and a few outside. I order a small iced americano. The hot espresso is directly made into the plastic cup, for way longer than it should be, so the cup is filled about halfway with overly extracted espresso. Then ice is put into the espresso and left to melt. Fifteen minutes later after receiving my drink I was left with no ice and a horrible coffee. This is a cute little cafe that serves food as well. I got a veggie taco and coffee. The veggie taco was delicious, so many vegetables and the coffee wasn't bad either. Their bathroom was kind of hard to figure out but also fun once you realized that the cute skull painting on the wall was actually a door that led to the bathroom kind of interesting. I adore this cafe! From the decorations to the plants, and especially the staff -- it gives a cozy homey feel. When I first walked in I noticed that people were studying, catching up with friends, or just chilling. Boca Del Cielo is the spot for literally anything. I was looking for a quick bite to eat with a friend and this cafe popped up on Yelp. You order at the cashier and they bring you the food. I recommend to order the chicken adobo bowl and Matcha latte. You can adjust the milk / sugar level. The chicken adobo bowl was so yummy and healthy at the same time. We also decided to try the blueberry pancakes, super fluffy and tasty. Overall, this cafe has great food, yummy drinks and it won't hurt your wallet. Super cute little lunch spot/smoothie spot with nice outdoor seating. The interior is cozy but because strollers don't fit between the narrow spaces, my babe and I sat outside (still really pretty). Just a heads up for mamas to leave the stroller at home if you plan on breakfast or lunch here :) The vibe is laid back. An OK spot to grab a coffee on a Sunday morning. My biggest challenge is the music is too loud every time I'm there. Unfortunately, loud music in a cafe is such a turn off for me. The bites are standard for a sit and chill cafe. The chicken adobo bowl comes with grilled chicken, cilantro rice and a small salad. When you order as takeout everything comes in one container so your salad is sad and soggy. It's happened to me several times. The chicken torta sandwich is a little bit more promising with its pickled jalapeños and chipotle mayo. The chicken was very thin so the oaxaca cheese took the spotlight for flavor. I'd like to keep trying Boca. The plants add a cool tropical vibe to the environnement. I hope they consider lowering the music volume so I can hear a friend across the table. read more

It was 6:30am on a Saturday, the man and I were scrolling through Yelp to find a new place to go for breakfast. The exterior of 'boca del cielo' has always been aesthetically appealing to us, so we decided to give their "interior" (ie: their food) a go. The address shows that it's close enough to go on-foot, and on top of that wonderful convenience, it's a gorgeous morning to enjoy boca del cielo's outdoor seating! The man and I put on the sneakers and head out for (our auspiciously planned...) breakfast. The outdoor seating at boca del cielo was nice-looking but the traveling clouds of cigarette and marijuana smoke that passed (along with pedestrians) weren't appetizing accompaniments to breakfast. We opted to eat indoors, instead. Once inside, the man and I both noticed how the floor needed to be swept and mopped. It was 7:15am; that mess did *not* take place within the last 15-20 minutes that the restaurant had been open. But I digress... At boca del cielo, you order at the front counter, then sit wherever you'd like; cafeteria-style. I, personally, am not crazy about that type of style but to each their own. The menu is on the wall behind the counter. That's it. The young lady behind the counter was kind enough to hand the man and I a deconstructed, beat up "printed menu" from lord-only-knows how many years ago, that included most items offered as well as the drink menu for the day. We had a seat in the cleanest booth we could find, to view the menu and decide our orders. While seated, the man got schkeeved out. Initially, I ignored him. He's crazy anyway... Then, I handed him the menus to view, which gave me the opportunity to view and evaluate the restaurant. Uuuuhhh boy... Frankly, it was filthy. The booth we were seated it; There were tidbits of someone's 'leftovers' sprinkled randomly on the table (we were seated at) and bench, (next to my coolie). When I slid out of the booth, I had to "dust off" my butt, to make sure there were no random crumbs stuck to my pants. We quietly discussed how nasty the interior of the restaurant was kept (while our eyes scanned every inch... ew!) and gave the idea of having our breakfast there a "Hard NO". Once we left, the man informed me how he caught a glimpse of their grittle, while we were standing at the front counter. He said it was FILTHY; burnt on lord-knows-what was left on it, and it didn't LOOK like it had been cleaned in WEEKS. I want to be clear; Decoratively, the interior of boca del cielo is BEAUTIFUL. The mint green-themed booths, the large plants, the walls, and those front windows (!!!): Breathtakingly Gorgeous. However, they need to spend a few LESS dollars on decór and a few MORE dollars on a cleaning service. They just turned away customers for it, and I'm sure we're not the only ones... read more

The server was very friendly but served tater tots with half Mexican inspired breakfast eggs. I had simple chicken tacos which were not terrible at all and mint tea. Starting off with the food it was delishious. Very warm and fresh food. We got the chicken bowl, chocolate pancakes, tater tots, and a spinach pastry. The presentation was nicely platted. I love how the chicken bowl comes with pickles onions and avocado and the sauce that comes with the tater tots. The service is excellent. The workers are very nice, like someone you can have small talk with. The food arrives fairly fast for brunch ~20 minutes. However, on some days since it's located near homes and a school can get busy. The ambiance is well. They have a giant opening window that they usually open when it is sunny outside. A place where someone could definetly relax get some work done and have a coffee on the side.
