The most heavenly Buttermilk Pancakes in the Universe -- light and fluffy as a cloud, but rich, thick, and substantial as a gourmet birthday cake. Friendly, relaxed, very informal venue -- and they also deliver. Yum! read more

Boca Del Cielo - Bay Ridge Brunch Gem I stopped by Boca de Cielo in the Bay Ridge area for brunch with the kids, and it turned out to be such a cozy and welcoming spot. You order your food at the front counter, and while we waited, the owner surprised us with a complimentary almond croissant since it was our first visit. It was absolutely delicious -- flaky, fresh, and easily one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. The menu has a great variety of options. We went with the steak and eggs and buttermilk street pancakes. The steak was tender and full of flavor, the home fries were seasoned perfectly, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. We also tried the Tropical Bliss Juice, a refreshing blend of pineapple, mango, and orange that's freshly pressed to order. From the warm decor to the amazing food and friendly service, everything about this place was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu! read more

This place never misses. It's been a while since I have stopped by but finally had a chance today. Although the cooks are different the quality and taste of the food hasn't changed - still good, y'all! Today, I deviated from my norm and got the beet boost (the ginger shined through - which I loved); I got the steak wrap w/o tomatoes - definitely good. This came w/a salad (but your cheapy iceberg lettuce ;) and balsamic drizzle - all in all, a delicious meal. The seating has definitely changed the quality of the food and dranks are still fire read more

The place was very nice and comfy with tons of seating. You have to order in the front register and pay first. Then someone will bring your food items when ready. I ordered the chicken avo brekkie with tater tots (u can choose roasted potatoes as another option). The chicken avo brekkie bowl was very healthy tasting and good - good amount to be full. I wish they had some dressing or sauce in it as it was a bit dry. The tater tots were yummy and very crispy. The orange carrot ginger juice was good - tasted more orange and carrot than ginger. Lady in register was nice and friendly. read more

I always have an enjoyable dining experience at Boca del Cielo from the green energy juice to the egg wraps. Additionally, the customer service also brings me back time and again because they treat me like a guest. The menu offers a variety of options. Thus if you are in a juicing mood, there are several varieties; my go to is the Energy juice which consists of kale, apples and pineapple. Their delicious egg wraps consist of the fluffiest eggs, melted cheddar and a small side salad with balsamic dressing. Their smokeless crack with soaked oatmeal, Nutella and bananas is a hearty breakfast. For a hot beverage, their Cardamom Chai Latte is creamy, dreamy and frothy. If you want a light bite, their sweet potato fries, the chicken taco with chicken adobo, cotija cheese and pickled onions are both scrumptious. Today, I ordered for delivery their Falafel bowl with three generous portions of falafel, quinoa, greens, tomatoes and hummus. The bowl was fresh and generous with the falafel out of this world, thus, leftover for work lunch tomorrow. I also ordered their Buddha Bowl which consists of quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, shredded carrots, cucumber slices, avocado, baby spinach and toasted sesame seeds with tahini dressing! A smorgasbord of greens! Boca del Cielo is a great place that offers delicious food for all types of cravings! *** this review is for today's delivery and previous dining experiences read more

I didn't know where to eat and stumbled upon this place to have brunch. It did not disappoint. I ordered at the front counter and food arrived quickly. Service is good here. I ordered Spinach with Feta Brioche and steak with egg. Everything tasted amazing and the portions were huge. Seatings inside were comfy and relaxing. Also I like that it's not too loud. Got the Budda bowl and swapped some things. The sweet potato fries were great. I loved the generous amount of arugula and avocado. Chicken was $6 extra - suggest just getting a bowl with chicken at this rate. Chicken was not dry and well flavored! Unfortunately, oil was pooling on the bottom. Overall, it was a great meal. read more

Perfect spot to work creatively. It's beautiful inside, the service is great and food/ coffee options expansive.

Service was fine. Food was not. Got the steak wrap and it was bland and the steak was gamey. The side salad was old, wilted greens and two cherry tomatoes with a little balsamic glaze. The smoothie (berry bonanza) was okay but also cost $12. Place was cute but not worth it. read more

Amazon place, people and food! Will be coming back soon! Had the steak and eggs. Wow!!! read more

The cookie butter iced latte was solid, but the shakshuka seemed to be two eggs incompletely poached in chunky garden-style mild salsa.

Popped in for brunch with friends a few weeks back. Cute place but we thought it had table service but it's actually you order at the counter and they bring it to you. Pretty nice selections my croissant with egg avocado, and bacon was very good, though they only offer turkey bacon. Not a bad place to stop by for a quick coffee. read more

We stopped by to work on our laptops at a cafe. Staff was friendly but took our order at the register area. We ordered some breakfast and wasn't notified about the fryer. sadly the fryer was broken so we couldn't have chips with guacamole or tater tots. There was. A lot of seating here if you do want to hang out here. Food is average. The salad that comes with all the dishes was paired with a sour dressing. I ate it without the dressing anyways. Drinks were okay. read more

We love Boca del Cielo! It's a cozy neighborhood spot that has great food and an interesting menu. It has a Spanish name but the menu leans heavily to Middle Eastern the Steak bowl gives a healthy portion of steak seasoned just right. The Southwest bowl is a great combination read more

Friendly service, clean but a bit run down environment. They had pastries for sale, which looked good, but the selection was limited. Lots of seating indoors and a few outside. I order a small iced americano. The hot espresso is directly made into the plastic cup, for way longer than it should be, so the cup is filled about halfway with overly extracted espresso. Then ice is put into the espresso and left to melt. Fifteen minutes later after receiving my drink I was left with no ice and a horrible coffee. Definitely not an americano, and at $4.50, this was way overpriced. read more

Absolutely not. I got a eggs Benedict and got a egg muffin sandwhich with one piece of Turkey bacon. Theres no hollandaise sauce. I had to ask for it and the chef was confused. He and the server had to read the menu to see what sauce I meant. Then they gave me this watery sauce. I'm completely confused; it tasted like watered down mustard sauce in a small container. Things just get worst from then! I cut into the egg and it's wayyyy over cooked.. at this point I just don't even want to eat it no more. I could've gotten better at the diner. The only flavor I got was from the bacon being salty. read more

Visit Date: January 17, 2021 I came here to eat after hiking with a guy that I may or may not have been on a date with but when we got here we went dutch for the cost of our meals so it may not have been a date. This is a cute little cafe that serves food as well. I got a veggie taco and coffee. The veggie taco was delicious, so many vegetables and the coffee wasn't bad either. Their bathroom was kind of hard to figure out but also fun once you realized that the cute skull painting on the wall was actually a door that led to the bathroom kind of interesting. The decor was very cute as well. If you're visiting this area this is a good place to come eat. read more

I adore this cafe! From the decorations to the plants, and especially the staff -- it gives a cozy homey feel. When I first walked in I noticed that people were studying, catching up with friends, or just chilling. Boca Del Cielo is the spot for literally anything. I was looking for a quick bite to eat with a friend and this cafe popped up on Yelp. You order at the cashier and they bring you the food. I recommend to order the chicken adobo bowl and Matcha latte. You can adjust the milk / sugar level. The chicken adobo bowl was so yummy and healthy at the same time. We also decided to try the blueberry pancakes, super fluffy and tasty. Overall, this cafe has great food, yummy drinks and it won't hurt your wallet. There is plenty of seating, and bathroom was clean as well. I will come back here! read more

Super cute little lunch spot/smoothie spot with nice outdoor seating. The interior is cozy but because strollers don't fit between the narrow spaces, my babe and I sat outside (still really pretty). Just a heads up for mamas to leave the stroller at home if you plan on breakfast or lunch here :) The vibe is laid back. I could definitely see working on your laptop, reading a book, or scrolling quietly in this place. I haven't tried their food yet but people's dishes looked good. This review is based on smoothies only (a saving grace for busy mom's!) I highly recommend the smoothies! Me and baby both loved it :) read more

An OK spot to grab a coffee on a Sunday morning. My biggest challenge is the music is too loud every time I'm there. Unfortunately, loud music in a cafe is such a turn off for me. The bites are standard for a sit and chill cafe. The chicken adobo bowl comes with grilled chicken, cilantro rice and a small salad. When you order as takeout everything comes in one container so your salad is sad and soggy. It's happened to me several times. The chicken torta sandwich is a little bit more promising with its pickled jalapeños and chipotle mayo. The chicken was very thin so the oaxaca cheese took the spotlight for flavor. I'd like to keep trying Boca. The plants add a cool tropical vibe to the environnement. I hope they consider lowering the music volume so I can hear a friend across the table. read more

It was 6:30am on a Saturday, the man and I were scrolling through Yelp to find a new place to go for breakfast. The exterior of 'boca del cielo' has always been aesthetically appealing to us, so we decided to give their "interior" (ie: their food) a go. The address shows that it's close enough to go on-foot, and on top of that wonderful convenience, it's a gorgeous morning to enjoy boca del cielo's outdoor seating! The man and I put on the sneakers and head out for (our auspiciously planned...) breakfast. The outdoor seating at boca del cielo was nice-looking but the traveling clouds of cigarette and marijuana smoke that passed (along with pedestrians) weren't appetizing accompaniments to breakfast. We opted to eat indoors, instead. Once inside, the man and I both noticed how the floor needed to be swept and mopped. It was 7:15am; that mess did *not* take place within the last 15-20 minutes that the restaurant had been open. But I digress... At boca del cielo, you order at the front counter, then sit wherever you'd like; cafeteria-style. I, personally, am not crazy about that type of style but to each their own. The menu is on the wall behind the counter. That's it. The young lady behind the counter was kind enough to hand the man and I a deconstructed, beat up "printed menu" from lord-only-knows how many years ago, that included most items offered as well as the drink menu for the day. We had a seat in the cleanest booth we could find, to view the menu and decide our orders. While seated, the man got schkeeved out. Initially, I ignored him. He's crazy anyway... Then, I handed him the menus to view, which gave me the opportunity to view and evaluate the restaurant. Uuuuhhh boy... Frankly, it was filthy. The booth we were seated it; There were tidbits of someone's 'leftovers' sprinkled randomly on the table (we were seated at) and bench, (next to my coolie). When I slid out of the booth, I had to "dust off" my butt, to make sure there were no random crumbs stuck to my pants. We quietly discussed how nasty the interior of the restaurant was kept (while our eyes scanned every inch... ew!) and gave the idea of having our breakfast there a "Hard NO". Once we left, the man informed me how he caught a glimpse of their grittle, while we were standing at the front counter. He said it was FILTHY; burnt on lord-knows-what was left on it, and it didn't LOOK like it had been cleaned in WEEKS. I want to be clear; Decoratively, the interior of boca del cielo is BEAUTIFUL. The mint green-themed booths, the large plants, the walls, and those front windows (!!!): Breathtakingly Gorgeous. However, they need to spend a few LESS dollars on decór and a few MORE dollars on a cleaning service. They just turned away customers for it, and I'm sure we're not the only ones... read more

The name is very misleading. I thought I was going to find a Latino owned business with authentic food but it wasn't that at all. I should have done more research. The server was very friendly but served tater tots with half Mexican inspired breakfast eggs. I had simple chicken tacos which were not terrible at all and mint tea. If that appeals to you then it's okay for a quick and casual bite in this very rustic ambiance. read more

Starting off with the food it was delishious. Very warm and fresh food. We got the chicken bowl, chocolate pancakes, tater tots, and a spinach pastry. The presentation was nicely platted. I love how the chicken bowl comes with pickles onions and avocado and the sauce that comes with the tater tots. The service is excellent. The workers are very nice, like someone you can have small talk with. The food arrives fairly fast for brunch ~20 minutes. However, on some days since it's located near homes and a school can get busy. The ambiance is well. They have a giant opening window that they usually open when it is sunny outside. A place where someone could definetly relax get some work done and have a coffee on the side. I would like to note the owner changed so there might be some differences but I haven't seen any major changed yet. read more
