The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Ambiance 10/10 When I walked in, the restaurant's color scheme made me feel drawn in. The stools weren't too high or too low. Considering the height of the table, they were the perfect height. I like the music that was being played. The music wasn't too loud or too low. I was able to make conversation without the music being overwhelming. Service 10/10 This joint has a self-order/self-checkout option, which makes it easier. They also have a restroom. Not all restaurants have restrooms that are made available to customers. Dropped by this spot to try some of their burgers several months ago. They had a major plumbing issue and have been closed since June. So it's anyone's guess if they'll reopen or the plumbing issue killed their business entirely. They essentially tastes as good as Shake Shack, but with an Asian fusion twist. Hausburger ($8) is your run of the mill burger. The SteakHaus ($12) is unique in itself, made with a 4oz butcher's blend patty, lettuce, tomato, crispy onion, bacon, mushroom, blue cheese, haus steak sauce. I really enjoyed their Crispy Chicken Sandwich ($9), made with Buttermilk fried chicken thigh, lettuce, pickles, Haus sauce. I've also had their Seaweed Garlic Fries ($5,50), which are a must order. Alot of the food has Asian fusion in them. For instance, there is a kimchi burger. Their prices are also really good and the same price or even more affordable than Shake Shack. The portion sizes here are also bigger than Shake Shack. All the burgers are $7-$11. And the shakes are $6, while soda and lemonade are $3-$4. My favorite burger that I tried was the classic Haus burger. You can also replace the patties for an impossible burger if you're vegetarian. I like how when I went it wasn't too crowded and the food comes out pretty quickly within 5-10 minutes. The aesthetic is minimalistic/modern. This place is a modern fast casual place. The haus sauce in my burger really puts the burger together. My hub ordered a Steakhaus signature burger with double patties, doubling it up like he always does. The Steakhaus was superb. It's got mushroom, bacon, crispy onion and bleu cheese. I took a big bite on his and it was so good! The bleu cheese and the beef patties are such a great pairing. Bun Haus just opened so for our first visit it did not disappoint! We will definitely be back to try other burgers on the signature menu, maybe a chicken burger, and maybe a shake to go. I love a good burger spot! I especially loved the different signature burgers they had. We got the truffle master and kimcheez signature burgers along with seaweed garlic fries. If you love mushrooms on your burger, you must get the truffle master. The truffle taste was not overwhelming nor did it taste super artificial, which I feel happens a lot with places trying to add truffle flavor to their items. The kimcheez was delicious with the egg, spam, and kimchi. The kimchi flavor is not super pungent so don't be intimidated if you don't usually eat kimchi! Everything in this burger perfectly complemented each other well. I've never seen seaweed garlic fries before so I was super intrigued to try that and it was a 5/5. Not overly salty and the seaweed and garlic flavor were very well balanced. Staff was also super friendly and helpful despite it being busy when I went! Overall would definitely recommend everything I got and to pay this spot a visit! Damn, this place was good! After walking around Williamsburg, my wife and I stopped in at Bun Haus for a bite and we were not dissapointed. I ordered the Kim Cheez Burger and it was delicious! Loaded with kimchi, spam, a fried egg, and topped with some gochujang aioli, I wanted more before I even took the first bite. With every bite of my burger I would eat a few seaweed garlic fries and the symphony of flavors between the two made my appetite sing. Yo! I think they soft-opened this week and... oh my fucking god! I thought it was just gonna be another fast/fast-casual burger joint like 7th Street, but nah! It was SO MUCH BETTER. Through looking at their menu, I expected some basic American burger shit with standard-type burgers and "signatures" like a kimchee burger, steak burger, or truffle, but...I was mistaken. (My dad was a chef. I learned food as a kid.) My gf and I got the HausBurger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, SteakHaus, seaweed garlic fries, and hojicha shake. The chicken sandwich was super crunchy/crispy yet deceivingly tender with a very properly proportioned layer of East Asian-style chill powder/flakes - totally unexpected. The fries were righteously aromatic (minced garlic and umami, come on). The SteakHaus burger wasn't dependent on a highly overwhelming BBQ sauce, bacon, or any other ingredient to carry your experience. The blue cheese was the most dominant ingredient but in a way that complemented every other flavor and aroma to just the right balance, honoring their worth and contribution without overpowering. Had some nice crispy fried onions in there too for texture. The hojicha shake was (one, wtf is a hojicha SHAKE?? Had to get on that combo.) so amazingly unexpectedly aromatically delightful. The HausBurger was the most standard of our items but still with an unexpected subtle sweetness and aroma. I'd say that nearly everything we ate was very pleasantly surprising. Nearly everything had a delightful dimension of aroma (and in BURGERS!). Overall, nearly everything we consumed applied a philosophical notion I live by - simple yet complex.
