I decided to try this location earlier today. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with French fries, expecting a flavorful meal given that Burger City's East Meadow location is known for delivering quality food. The first thing I noticed when I stepped inside was that the restaurant appeared to be severely understaffed. There were only three employees working, who I assumed were teenagers. This made the overall experience feel somewhat disorganized from the start. When I took my first bite of the chicken sandwich, I immediately noticed something unusual. I eventually discovered that there was a slice of cheese on the sandwich, despite the fact that I had not requested cheese. Unfortunately, the sandwich itself was fairly disappointing. Aside from the generous amount of spicy sauce applied to the chicken, it was largely flavorless, and the chicken even tasted somewhat stale. Given my expectations from the East Meadow location, this was particularly disappointing. The one bright spot was the French fries, which were the only part of the meal that managed to match the quality I have come to expect from Burger City's East Meadow location. Overall, this location did not live up to my expectations. While the fries were good, the chicken sandwich and the restaurant's overall first impression left a lot to be desired. I will not be dining at this location again in the future. You will be better off taking the drive to Long Island to Burger City's East Meadow location. read more

It was lunchtime and having a burger was on my agenda. I had their quarter pounder with no cheese and it's tasted like real beef unlike the other fast food places. I.e McDonalds etc. I had fries and a tea as well. The fries were very crispy and good. A bonus was that the fries are fried in beef tallow now which is healthier than vegetable oils. The burgers are made to order and they are never frozen. Service was quick and friendly! They do have a few counters facing the street that you can eat your meal at. Been eating here for a few years now. Just a few things first: Not being negative towards this business at all. Just something that has been steering me away for a few months and I'm trying to understand. Ever since they switched over to beef tallow. Which I understand and also respect any fried food to me just doesn't taste right. Everything is cooked fine, and look fine but there's just this certain taste. In the past I have had many experiences with beef tallow but this one throws my tastebuds off. Not sure if it's the temp they are fry at, or the quality of it. Not sure if other people have been feeling this way. Besides the switch a a couple months ago, everything to me is pretty good. I enjoy the burgers , the chicken sandwich. Pretty much all of it. The chili is surprisingly very good too. This place is a better option to me than McDonalds or Wendy's. The workers are friendly everything is perfectly fine. Give the place a try if you haven't. I was in the mood for a burger on this day to celebrate national burger day. I choose burger city. I went with a double cheese burger minus the works L,T,M,K,O just pickles. Got me a chicken sandwich, wish it was a lot more crisper till the point you hear a crunch on the bite. I added bacon and burger city Mac n cheese to the chick sandwich. I was not impressed with the Mac. I believe it needs a better cheese sauce Less pepper maybe a two cheese blend and a bit creamer??? Just my opinion not judging, keep doing things your way. Best burger in the city at the greatest value. Having stumbled upon Burger City a few months ago I was drawn in by their signs exclaiming "WE WON". While it was in reference to winning the best burger in Long Island, they also won over the hearts and minds of my friends and I. I have gone back countless times in the past few months and the quality is always the best. I personally enjoy their double burger with fries, seriously can't be beat. Ambiance leaves nothing to be desired... it is truly a no frills classic walk up burger joint. They even have parking which is rare for NYC. I tried the vanilla shake once and it tasted like milk with vanilla extract, and their cheese sauce tastes super weird, but their burgers are decent sized and an elevated fastfood style. Cute place which gets busy, I did visit a half hour before closing and at the hour you usually don't get the best out of a restaurant. The knish was a little over cooked but the flavor was still there, fries were good and they have some good signature dipping sauce. Our cashier was nice but everyone just looked ready to go home which I understand I've worked in the fast food industry years ago and the last 30 mins we would prefer for no one to come in lol. The fries are super unique with a crunchy exterior that stays crispy even if left in a takeout bag for over an hour. Their sweet potato tater tots are delicious as well. I normally dislike barbecue sauce but the one they gave with my meal was great. Now the grilled cheese... it made me laugh. It is literally made with what I assume is leftover burger buns. But really, it only costs $4 and it has all the flavor you want in a grilled cheese sandwich anyway--a buttery exterior filled with layers of cheese that reminds you of childhood. Cute little burger joint by the Carvel in Middle Village. It's super clean, super fast and fairly new. There's indoor seating, not many seats but a nice decent space to grab a quick bite. The French fries are so good and super crunchy. The chicken Sandwich was my least favorite. The breading was like the taste of a filet o fish and there was a particular sauce on it that threw it all off. Now, since it's "Burger City" I bet you're wondering how the burgers taste? To me, they were good but nothing special or out of this world and I've definitely had better. You will not get lettuce and tomatoes or crispy onions and blue cheese on your burger because that's not an option at this place. You will ONLY get mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, cheese and chopped onions with bacon as an add on if you pay for it. That's kinda boring when looking for a great burger joint isn't it? Prices are good and affordable but I'm not sure if I'll come back unless they expand the menu a bit more. It's very short and very basic. Honestly think it's overhyped, this place. It's also weird having to see the workers inside through the window chatting with each other and not acknowledging the customer's existence. The cheeseburger that served tasted good, yet has this weird charred and burnt taste in a bad way. I'd go back for the fries if anything. It's even served in a foil bag which looked like it's served in a public school's cafeteria, which doesn't look pleasant. The burger had not much vegetable fixings in it, not too balanced.... It's also weird that they served other non burger items when their restaurant name is "Burger City." When it gives off similar vibes to a Five Guys, yet it's not. I'd rather go to a Five Guys or ECB down Metropolitan Avenue instead, but if you want a "higher" end burger than a typical fast food, I guess this is okay... Rather go to Wendy's or even McDonalds instead after that disappointment. read more

This is quite good fast food. The fries are superb (they might be double-fried because they're nice and crispy) and they give a really large portion. And the burgers (I usually get the double) are quite good as well. It looks to me like they're trying to emulate All-American Burger out on Long Island, except Burger City's portions are much larger. I've only had the burger and fries - haven't tried anything else yet. One thing I like about the burgers is that they're served very hot and they put them into these little foil envelopes that keep them hot. The staff there is also very nice. Does it take some time to get your food? Sure. That's because everything is made fresh to order. No burgers or fries sitting around wilting. Prices are reasonable, but not "cheap". But I think that's true everywhere today. No bargains anymore. read more

It is like a fast food chain, large menu display and there was a $9.99 deal set that comes with double cheeseburger, fries and a drink we got. We chose root beer for the drink, it was not too sweet and compliment with the burger we had. The chili was very flavorful, came with a small side of cheese. We did waited about 10 minutes for our order, and can see the back of them preparing them fresh and hot. The black and white (chocolate and vanilla) shake was hard to drink with a thin straw, it would have been better if it was a spoon. Price-wise the item are decent priced, quite affordable. On Halloween I was in the area and after passing by like 3 times was like burger milkshake me y'all. They have a little parking area and had candy to give out despite Covid.
