Turkey club sandwich
Crystal L.

We came here on a Sunday, around noon time. The place was full, but the vibe still seemed pretty chill. Everyone was chatting with their family and friends and enjoying their coffee and brunch. Staff were very friendly. I took some time to decide, because they have an extensive menu. At the end I went with a turkey club sandwich, which came with fries. It was very filling! Overall, it's a nice little spot to eat on any regular day

We came here for brunch on a Sunday and the place was busy, there was a table available for us, but after we got seated, every table was taken. The staff were very friendly. We took some time to order since they have a pretty extensive menu, but finally decided on stead quesadilla and coffee. It was a simple quesadilla doesn't have too much in there. But it was still pretty good, freshly made tortilla is definitely a plus!

Egg white omelet with sautéed veggie, wheat toast, and baked potato

I've been here a handful of times. The food and prices have been consistently good. The service is lacking. Even when nearly empty, nobody has come over to ask if I needed anything or how the food was, even while sitting for half hour or longer. I found that unusual for a food establishment, so I had to raise my hand every time, which was uncomfortable for me. The staff seem to understand basic English, but we're friendly and happy to assist me. They take special requests which was very nice. Such as an egg white omelet. I had that with a baked potato, wheat toast, and a side of sautéed veggie- all for &13.20 with tax (2022). That price can't be beat in my opinion. I'll be back for sure

Friends, and lots of chefs I know in the area, avoid bc of this specific reason. Diner had my original review taken down when I mentioned this? I usually repost and substract a star when this happens, but Diner does remain close to my heart. It does need to work on the consistency end of things, as with entrees in the $48 range (for real) everyone should know what they're doing. For the most part, they do. Remains a neighborhood fav.

The servers come directly to your table and they write down the menu for the day. The menu generally run American classics, but a bit more "chefy" than a run of the mill diner. Unfortunately, I think I came on an off day, as there were some miscues. The clam dish had a ton of potential, but was noticeably overseasoned, and I'm a self-proclaimed salt lover. It was mentioned that the pork chop was going to be medium to medium-rare, but what we received was in the edge of well done (and even burned on some ends). The burger and fries, though, were fantastic. A bit hit or miss, but I do want to come back as the menu is creative and I'm sure it would have been great on a better day.

The pancakes are some of the best I've ever had. So fluffy and light soaked in the sweet butter syrup. To die for. I felt like the breakfast sandwich was kind of a flop, I felt like it was missing a sauce to it and it just felt like items smacked together, nothing innovative. Overall crowded and busy for such a tiny space, but I still love coming here.

We weren't in a hurry and we found a seat bench around the corner. They do not offer seats to wait either. The restaurant was small inside but they had enough outdoor seating. I recommend eating inside, if you can. The restaurant is by the Brooklyn bridge and when the subway passes on the bridge and it's like every five minutes, it's soooo loud!!!! It's almost annoying and hard to hear yourself so this would not be a good date if you sat outside. You won't hear each other. We didn't order much but we had coffee, Korean fried chicken and a double stack of their honey butter pancake with berries on top. I have to say how disappointed I was on their Korean fried chicken. It was heavily coated with breading and smothered in sauce. It had a fire kick to it. It was not unbearable. It had ok flavors only but what could you expect from this type of restaurant. Service was ok. So my stars are only for the pancakes. It was delicious! Nothing else I have tasted before. So if you are not here for a date and just to eat, I would give it a try. [45R,2026]

This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

Once we got seated, we got to see the very old-school, fun atmosphere inside, and were seated at a very comfortable booth, which is great for a group! We got the baby back ribs, eggplant parm, Caesar salad, vinegar chicken, and brownie sundae. The Caesar salad was all right, nothing amazing, but still done well! Just didn't blow me away. The vinegar chicken was awesome! The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, and it was packed with flavor. The sauce was to die for. The eggplant Parmesan was also great! It was executed perfectly. The sauce had great flavor, and the eggplant was tender, yet crispy on the outside. The ribs were also great. They had a nice tangy barbecue sauce and were cooked very well. The brownie sundae looked awesome. However, it didn't blow me away. I felt like the mint ice cream was good, but I wish there were more brownie pieces in there. The service was also great and super friendly, and I like that they have crayons at the table so you can draw on them. I would definitely recommend this place if you're craving some great American food!

Lots of lettuce, not overly anchovy and just the croutons were soft and crisp at the same time? very much enjoyed how big of a portions all of these items were. chicken parm sauce was tangy and had good flavoring with the perfect melted cheese on top of the soft but crisp edges of the chicken. i'd highly recc all three items we got! service was quick once we got seated and was nice to be outside in the warm weather.

I started reading a book and I didn't even get to the third page before it came out. The crostata was absolutely delicious. It was blueberry lemon, I didn't think I could eat three pancakes for the order so I decided to go with that and it was just the right size. Crisp, sweet, tart, crunchy, it was a perfect little treat for myself. Most definitely would order again. The BEC pierogies were tasty, but I felt like I should've at least gotten seven or eight for $16. That's 2.50 a dumpling for 6. I wish I had more for the price point or at least that they were more filled with stuffing, like it's eggs. I'm not disappointed just I was still slightly hungry when I left, which is not what I wanna feel after paying $38 for breakfast with tip. Not unreasonably priced just you don't feel like you're getting a good bargain is all. They are handmade. I'll give them that. The service was lovely. I may be back to try some other things, I would love to try the latkes. It was a cute environment for sure, Ukrainian diner vibes. I'm not in Williamsburg very often but it was a nice change of pace.
