a breakfast of french toast, bacon, eggs, and bacon

Impressive diner fare, only thing not impressive is the fact they are not open 24 hours. I stopped by here on the suggestion from a coworker, and I was in the area during lunchtime. They do a brunch special that includes a drink and a fruit salad, for a select few menu items. Craving French toast, I got that. It came with sausage, bacon, ham, and two eggs cooked how you want them. I also got myself an Elvis milkshake, which basically is a peanut butter and chocolate shake with some banana infused into it. The milkshake is amazing, worth the $8. It is a good size, and it is rich and creamy. The food I got is good too. It is basic, but it is amazing how many diners screw up a good French toast, or even a breakfast altogether. The staff is friendly too. They are honest and see to it that everybody is having a good time and enjoying their meal. Between this and Pegasus, Bay Ridge has two solid brunch options on the weekends.

Great customer service. Worth your money and big servings. Food was great. Low key and calm vibes. Would definitely visit again!

I will tell you that this place has a diner feel to it as it says by the name. The staff seemed in chaos with getting some orders prepared. I ordered their salad, buffalo honey wings, and one of their pastas which was great. I tried one of their smoothies as well which wasn't anything to die for. Overall service was enough but could be better, food carried the way though. I'd come back. The salad was forgettable so forget I mentioned it.

Exactly what a diner should be. Quick, friendly service and cheap, delicious food! Came here to meet a friend and grab some breakfast. There is plenty of counter seating and booths. Our waiter was great and constantly kept our coffee cups filled. It was fairly empty in here but at no point were we rushed out. Our breakfast was very reasonably priced and portions were a nice size. Definitely will be back.

The bowl was packed with flavor and made with some of the best, freshest ingredients. And the mac & cheese? Creamy, delicious, and completely vegan. It lacked absolutely nothing except, you know, the animal products.

A strong 9.5/10, and I don't hand those out casually. The peanut butter cauliflower was a close second--absolutely delicious, just a little pricey for the portion. The lasagna was a solid 8/10. Flavorful and hefty despite its lighter ingredients. Unless you're skipping appetizers, prepare for leftovers. Fair warning: it's saucy and doesn't travel particularly well. I also noticed an aftertaste I couldn't quite identify, but nothing that ruined the dish. The mac and cheese? A 6/10 for me. The flavor fell flat, though my dinner companions thought it was decent for vegan food. They also loved their burger and the gorgeous steak-style sandwich with chimichurri and avocado. The sandwich looked delicious, but the portion didn't quite justify the price for me. Now, the sorrel cocktail? A 9/10. Easily. What would make it a 10? A bit more alcohol. I couldn't really taste any. It gave mocktail. My girls did enjoy their wine, though! Service was very warm and friendly, although the packed crowd meant extended waits once we placed our orders. The space is beautiful, cozy, and elevated, but cramped in many areas. Between counter ordering and table service, expect people moving around you. Some patrons could use a gentle reminder that their behinds are not a complimentary side dish. The aesthetics are beautiful, the bathroom was cute and clean, and there's a small outdoor patio out front. They even had a DJ bringing block-party energy during our visit! I could easily see myself returning for breakfast, brunch, or a little café workday. What I love most, though, is the community-centered spirit and how the owners' partnership and love story are woven into the space. My final word: I judge vegan food by the same standards as everything else. No participation trophies just because it's plant-based. My ultimate test? Would I order it again, and would I return to the restaurant? Aunts et Uncles didn't need a vegan consolation prize or watered-down standards. Some dishes could use tweaking, and the portions don't always match the prices, but the standouts absolutely hold their own against non-vegan food. I'm already plotting my return. That loaded potato and I have unfinished business.

I ordered an avocado bagel on seven grain. It was all delicious. There was lettuce and cucumber that was not listed on the menu, but that's ok. The egg was over medium, which they didn't ask me how I wanted, but I'm sure they'd change it if you asked. They were very responsive, polite, and quick.

The setup is a little different from a full-service restaurant. You order at the counter, let the staff know if you're dining in or getting your order to go. If dining in, then find a table and wait for your name to be called. If you're seated farther away, they'll usually bring your food to you. For drinks, it's best to stay near the baristas towards the front of the store since those are typically called out separately. I ordered the Madeline omelette without the jalapeños. It was good overall but it could have used a little more salt. I also tried the matcha latte (which tasted a bit too milky) and I had to add extra sweetener, so I'd probably try a different drink next time. The pastries, especially the apple strudel and Boston cream donut, were both really good. Highly recommend the apple strudel.
