We were in town to visit family so decided to check this place out. This place would get a 5 star rating for its service and ambiance alone but the food got me sick, hospital sick. Please watch the seafood here as I spent a day and a half in Maimonides Hospital. Maybe it was just a bad piece of fish idk but I literally vomited all night before my wife forced me to go to the hospital because it was harming my breathing. The restaurant is very awkwardly set up, part of the kitchen is walled off and in the main dining area. The credit card machine is not near the cash register. While Chateau Yaffe is set up as a tablecloth sophisticated dinning place. There are two extremely large video screens like a sports bar. There are too many untrained waiters, one seemed to hover over us. It took three waiters to bring out one dish and one of us was served while the other waited. The portions were small and over priced. The was a very large service charge added, without my permission. In general Chateau Jaffe has not worked out any of the details of fine dining, while being not worth the effort. read more

They charge u crazy amount of money and bring you food worth of 100$ when you ordered and paid over 700$ They don't even notify you if they ran out of something they just bring what they want. They cannot even accommodate their customers with anything to make them happy. Very disappointed in service, food quality, especially manager, which was rude and unprofessional!!! Save your money and don't ever order from them you will be very disappointed, You would just waist ur money!!!! We were trying to contact you for a week and no-one called us back! We ordered bunket for 125$ per person and half of the food was missing and I was told u ran out of some food, which was unprofessional. It was a New Year and if we would known better we would just order from somewhere else! The best dolma I have ever tried. And a separate mention for cherry vareniki, I am a connoisseur, and I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend this place. This is probably one of the worst restaurants I've been in a long time. The staff is highly unprofessional, the waiters have no idea what they are doing in the dining area. 45 min after the the order they informed us that some of the ordered dishes are no longer available, but still included it into the final bill. Ordered food came an hour and a half later. Our multiple requests to see the owner/manager were left unanswered even though the owner was sitting at one of the tables with his friends. At the end when we asked for the bill we received the bill with multiple extra charges. When we asked to correct it, the staff refused to do so. The owner finally came over and started insulting us instead of fixing the problem. At the end when we refused to pay the tips for such quality of service and left money for food at the table, he literally took one of our friends a hostage and locked the door, so we had to call police to resolve the situation. Avoid this restaurant if you don't want to get bad service, overcharges, and insults!! read more

If you have not tried YaffA restaurant then run and try it! Absolutely the best food! The chef Alec has hands of gold! We go there weekly, because the atmosphere and food is top notch. They have a lunch menu as well order take out all the time and it's always fresh and tasty. It never disappoints! I suggest calling for rsvp it's a small restaurant and always packed. read more

Just finished my take-out lunch. food was great (roast beef sandwich and chicken vegetable soup). The people who took my order in the cafe were friendly and very polite. The prices are reasonable.
