My first experience wasn't the best at this place as the wait staff was rude to us. Still i decided to give this place another shot. To start i order the shrimp ceviche. Honestly inqaant i press with the ceviche and i think the only reason it was tolerable it was because of the potato chips. I had a Margarita but i had to send it back because it tastes like plain seltzer with lemon juice and sugar. I ordered a Brazilian beer which was much better. We shared the BBQ dish and it was so good. The meat was delicious and the sausage was flavorful. I love the little spicy red peppers that came with the dish. Prices are high for the neighborhood. Waitress was friendly but not responsive to complaints. We ordered the mango avocado salad. But there was almost no avocado. 2 tiny pieces of avocado in the salad when a salad is called mango avocado salad you expect to see some avocado. We told the waitress and all she did was say. I'll tell the chef and then we never heard anything about it again. One of the skirt steaks was crazy oversalted. My friend told the waitress. Same response from the waitress. The lobster roll could use a little more lobster for the price. 3 stars because the food tasted very good other than the one steak that was oversalted but my friend scraped off the salt with a napkin and ate it. Came here on a Saturday at 6:30pm to celebrate a bday. The waitress was very nice to show me a place I can park the stroller and brought the kids plastic cups for water. I was surprised how empty it was but patrons definitely started coming in at 8pm. The ambiance was relaxing with the decor, dim lighting, and music. If I had to choose between their brunch or dinner, I would go with their dinner menu as that was more memorable for me. We had their Frito Mixto which included fresh tasting calamari, shrimp, and veggie strings, delicious pao de Brazil (cheesy bread a must), tuna tartare, and Brazillian BBQ ($96) which was enough for 3 adults with the variety of two steaks, chicken skewer, sausages, garlic bread, yuka fries, and rice and beans (esp if you are ordering a few appetizers). On the walk in, it's a small space but a nice setup. Intimate and low key. The waiter was also the bartender that day but she managed very well. She was helpful with choosing our food and explaining the different flavor caipirinhas. I was looking for a new happy hour spot but the menu made me want more than that. I had the caipirinha flight and of course a happy hour margarita. The food was really good, I enjoyed the wings although they we really spicy. It's pretty non busy in there. There was no one when we went one afternoon. You can't really find Brazilian in Southern Brooklyn so this place is almost like a hidden gem. It was my first time having ceviche and I didn't expect it to be liquidy. I usually hate plantain chips but it goes so well with the juices, shrimp, and onions etc... It had a bit of a kick to it- not spicy. The crab cake benedict was so good. The Hollandaise sauce was so yums, it went well with my fries. The portion looks small but it was pretty filling after eating the appetizer. The steak and eggs was a bit salty but they kindly remade it. Went here on random Saturday afternoon with another couple and a sweet baby. What a pleasant little spot in Brooklyn great for the family but beware no changing station for baby. It was the long overdue that I finally came here and eat. First, love the ambiance, lately I notice restaurants are getting louder and since I am here to socialize with friends I get it but also the noise level in some places are crazy. Not here, they are casual and chill and I am able to hear myself talking lol. The drinks are excellent, the food is great. I was here with a friend whose parents are Portuguese and she said some of the dishes reminded her of her mom's cooking so I think that's an awesome compliment. I'd rate Saravá four and a half stars. Brazilian bistro. Menu seemed burger center is. Handful of food you'd expect at a bar plus a lot of Brazilian items. We decided to share the meat platter for two. We also had two beers and two drinks and the bill came out to about $200 including tip for the two of us. The meat platter came with four skewers. Skewers had two pieces of pichana, a large sausage link, five chicken kebabs, and three large pieces of skirt steak. Sides includes rice, beans, yucca fries, and four sauces / toppings. Food was very flavorful across the board. Quite juicy. On the salty side which I don't mind. I had two beers that were on draft. First was listed as a Pilsner. It was not a Pilsner. Tasted like a Belgian style ale. Possibly a Tripel. Certainly not a Pilsner. It was priced like a Pilsner, so I didn't mind the higher quality beer; however, I just want expecting it. I also had their house IPA which I'd wager a small amount of money on being Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Service was quick and attentive. They had one gender neutral restroom. It was spacious and had one railing behind the toilet with no side railings. Indoor and outdoor seating. Beer and wines; no liquors but they had cocktails made of spirits with lower ABVs. read more

On a cold April Saturday, our reservation was not necessary--from noon to 2pm, the place had a steady flow of customers and available tables. The restaurant is tiny--seats maybe at most 20 people. No tables bigger than 4 are available. Cozy ambiance. Relaxing music playing in the background. Soothing atmosphere to enjoy. Dimmed lighting probably creates an intimate feel during dinner time. One caveat: the entrance door was opening very often, and there was barely any heat on in the restaurant, so we were freezing the entire time. Food gets cold quickly. We were wearing our winter jackets to keep warm. Not ideal. Detracted a great deal from enjoying the experience, when you have to be shivering to keep warm. Nothing much to say about Service. Waitresses seemed aloof and weren't particularly talkative or warm. Was not expecting Manhattan prices: the bill was $100 for brunch for two, without drinks or tips. Certainly not a cheap treat, considering we did not order much. Disappointed that for the quality and quantity of food, we paid such exorbitant price. $17 crab cake appetizer was an utter waste of money. Two tiny crabcakes were completely bland. Barely any crab meat, all bread and vegetable stuffing. Huge chunks of potato instead of crab meat. No seasoning to at least create some flavor. Tasted like eating stale, damn, sad cloth. The avocado & mango chutney was much tastier and the highlight of this dish. How disappointing. $22 crab cake benedict was good, not counting crab cakes [read above comment]. Salad was light. Substituted home potatoes for sweet potato and regular fries. Both fries were delicious. We were not warned that substituting home potatoes for fries would be +$3. We were craving something new, so were recommended to try Brazilian Catupiry cheese bread, which is not indicated in the menu. Tiny bread balls stuffed with cheese were lovely--so easy to get carried away and eat a ton of those. However, $16 for 7 tiny balls was definitely pushing it. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while... So I'm like ok, time to go, finally! We go and I order the surf and turf burger and my partner orders the smash. Both were good, but maybe a wee pricey for the area... considering you can get a delish meal for much less nearby. The one thing I love is that we have so many different options in a 5 block radius, and Brazilian isn't found everywhere. So I love that! The interior was a bit dark but I love the wood and the simplicity. If I went back again.. I would likely try something else, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. I'm curious how the little gf breads are. I've had Sarava in my bookmarks for ages and thought today was a great day to finally pay a visit. I took my parents out for brunch and couldn't wish for a more perfect place. Sarava overs a very comforting and intimate atmosphere. It's not a huge place but is enough for a few tables, there was even a small group gathered in the back. I believes they even have a garden open, but I'd wait to go out there for a less humid weather. The food was simply amazing. Nothing disappointed - the lobster in the lobster avo benny was perfectly cooked, as were the eggs. The wagyu sliders were just the ride size; and the surf and turf burger was perfectly medium, and perfectly delicious and satisfying. Very inviting, cute, intimate dining experience in Brooklyn. Service was very welcoming and attentive for our entire 3 hour visit. I was having dinner with a good friend I had not seen on 2 years. We never felt rushed, just very well taken care of. The chef even cam out to see how tables were doing. The menu is a good variety but not overwhelming. I had the crab appetizer and while I wish I knew it would be covered in cheese, it was so flavorful and filling. I had the shrimp entree served in a pumpkin and it was delicious. I am hard to please flavorwise if something isnt spicy, but this was very well seasoned and delicious! I tried my friend's truffle fries and they were perfection! After a super long day with everything going wrong, my friend and I had such bad luck even with the restaurant we were trying to eat at but while searching for where else to get dinner, this place happened to catch our attention. It was 25 mins away walking distance and we were SO exhausted by then so we kept debating whether it'd be worth that walk or not but we'd never tried Brazilian food before and decided why not! Gotta say it was definitely worth the trip. We were given two menus-their original menu you can find on their website and some other special menu. From that special menu, we got their Brazilian tapas for two. It came with their coxinha (chicken croquets), cheese filled kibbeh, beef empanadas, grilled cheese, Brazilian sausage, and catupiry bread. For the sauces we got sweet and sour, jalapeño mayo, and spicy mayo. At first glance, it seemed like a very small portion for two people but it was very filling and amazing. I usually hate sweet and sour sauce but this one tasted incredible and surprisingly paired well with every single piece. Service was great and the outdoor seating in the back was beautiful. Our dinner here honestly made us forget about the long and exhausting day we had. And for some weird reason everything started going our way for the rest of the night after leaving here so we still talk about how this place was our turning point haha. This place serves brunch from Friday to Sunday which is super exciting. I'm deff coming again during their brunch menu to give another try since I do want to try their other food offerings. I ordered the lobster avo toast Benny it's $25, which I don't think it's worth I thought for the price it's ehhh didn't have much flavor as I wish it did. You would think the toast is small but it's pretty really. I also had their sweet potato fries. Some fries are crispy then the rest which I'm not complaining about since I brought my son and he was able to eat the softer ones. I asked for a high chair and it dirty. Luckily I brought my Clorox wipes and I wiped it down myself. So if you do ask for a high chair just becareful and check to see if it's clean or not. Their menu had lots of yummy offerings and we settled on: 2 beef burgers (1 with truffle fries) 1 Mexican Chicken bowl 1 Avocado Mango salad The avocado mango salad had small bits of avocado (have to really dig in under the spinach to find it). The mexican chicken bowl is like the chipotle burrito bowl but with fresher ingredients. The burgers---- oh man, the truffle fries were decent. We ordered coxinha (chicken croquettes) , beef empanada, fries, and tomahawk steak, and Carrot cake for dessert. We were blown away by how delicious everything tasted! Not the best experience. Honestly this place was just ok. We got the cheese balls with the guava dip which was a 10/10 for me but everything else is downhill from here. We got chicken croquettes which were ok, prob wouldn't get again. We got the birria tacos which were good but I've had better. My friend got chicken stroganoff which she said was good but nothing special. My other friend got the surf and turf burger which he said was also good but not great. I got the sizzling steak with roasted garlic which was a special that night. It wasn't very good. Extremely over cooked and chewy. Also really salty. Came for brunch on a Saturday, we got seated right away. They have both their brunch and regular menu available. The space isn't huge but they also have garden seating and a couple of tables out front. We ordered coxinha, eggs Benedict, and crab cakes. The coxinha are like mini potato croquettes stuffed with shredded chicken. These were soo crispy on the outside and the inside was not bland. Their eggs Benedict were unique because it comes on top of Brazilian cheese bread and not English muffins. You also get to choose which meat it comes with, I got turkey bacon. The Brazilian cheese bread makes such a big difference to the dish. The crab cakes weren't huge, but it was good and comes with a lot of avocado/ guacamole spread that actually pairs pretty well with the crab cakes. I love the family-like ambiance. This is probably a local favorite as I saw many families dining for brunch as well. Passion fruit mimosa -- super tangy and bubbly. They did not skimp on the bubbles at all. 10/10 Grass-fed burger -- I loved it came with turkey bacon. Burger was cooked just to my liking (medium). The sweet potatoes fries on the other hand; probably the best I've ever had! I loved this place. Their menu is awesome and I cannot wait to try everything they have. I went last night and they had three options to sit : the front , the back and inside. The decor is very simplistic and cozy. Their menu is a fusion of Brazilian and American cuisine and we decided to order the picanha which is the most famous Brazilian cut steak and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also got the bobo de camrao and it was a very surprising and flavorful dish that came served inside a kabocha squash. As a starter we got the coxinha , such a crispy and creamy chicken croquette. This was a great find! I visit this restaurant with 3 other friends and we had a lovely time. The owner occasionally came out to speak with us and make sure we were all satisfied. We sat outside, right in front and opted to start with cups of tea since it was a bit chilly. The cocktails were delicious. I can't recall what the name was but they had two different flavors of popsicles (watermelon & passion fruit) paired with white wine. My steak and eggs were delicious! It was presented beautifully in my opinion and tasted fantastic! My friends got the same and we all were happy with our meals.
