    Queso Fundido
    Vishnu G.

The food here is decent. I tried the queso fundido with rajas and chile relleno with cheese. The queso fundido with a flour tortilla was pretty good - melted cheese with some spice. As the dish cooled, the cheese got a bit stringy, and the tortillas dried out pretty fast just wrapped in wax paper. The chile relleno was also nice. There was a bit of a mix up with my order and they accidentally gave me one with chicken instead, but they swapped it out when I notified the staff. The broth was savory, though the chile itself was pretty mild. It was a bit hard to cut into as it absorbed the broth. The sides of rice, beans, and salad were nice accompaniments. If anything, I could've used a bigger plate/bowl to make the food easier to cut and prevent the salad from spilling out of the plate. The prices were similar to what you'd find in Manhattan, at around $50 total with tax and tip, which was a bit unexpected. Though it was definitely a bit too much food for one, so I'd stick with just an entree next time.

Question, have you ever fought to keep a favorite place, store, library, restaurant open? You frequently patronized this place and like a regular at "Cheers" everyone knew your name? Well, that's a little background for my review of Coszcal de Allende. I patronized Coszcal at their original location on 68th and 3rd Avenue. I took a chance one night, many, many years ago in a galaxy far, far away...and went to their happy hour. The HH consisted of $5 margaritas and $3 street tacos. All delicious! They also had a beautiful courtyard that my friends and I gathered time and time again. I even took my mom there for Mother's Day. Thus, fast forward to post pandemic and my favorite Mexican restaurant was in a bit of trouble.. rising rent almost forced them to close.. like forever!!! Luckily, I believe my City Councilman stepped in and saved the day as Coszcal moved to 75th and 3rd and hooray!! Today, I met my Yelpie friend Sharon for an early dinner. I asked to sit outside in the courtyard but it was closed for maintenance. No stress.. we sat inside and decided to order plain nachos for appetizer and yummmy glad we did. You can get them with meat or guacamole. The nachos were fresh with just the right amount of cheese, diced greens, jalapeños and two delicious side sauces to dip. We devoured it! I was glad I ordered the Coca Cola jarrito to quash the Fuego ( fire) in my throat. Whew! Spicy! I ordered the cheese enchiladas with beans, rice, greens in a green sauce. This is the dish I always order because I LOVE it. And you will too! Sharon ordered a cheese quesadilla with the same sides that accompanied my entree. She enjoyed it as well. The portions are generous, the music was great ( Blondie, Tears for Fears) and the service was very courteous. The interior is really soothing, check out the cool bar! Well, all I can say is, like "Cheers" my new Coszcal de Allende is going to know my name!

Johnny, our server was AMAZING! What incredible service. I was here with my Dad and brother this time. Johnny made sure to make extra room for my Dad's walker by saving the nearby table for us too. We had a delicious meal! Beautiful setting too

One of the best fish tacos spots! They also have happy hour before 7pm. The staff were friendly and attentive. The baja fish tacos were crispy, topings were good, and the shell was nice and soft. Would come back any time for the fish tacos. -1 star for the way the burrito was prepared, not sure why the guac and pico de gallo was on top of the burrito lol it got messy and fell apart when trying to eat it, so just ended up scooping it like a rice bowl.

The place is cute on the inside. They have a large tequila and Mezcal selection. I came with my sister who was unhappy with the details of the restaurant the menus were a little dirty drinks were served in the wrong glasses. The food was actually pretty good Tacos were tasty. I got the Mole enchiladas good place to try.

I stumbled on this cute spot today and I couldn't be happier. The walls had a Southwestern style- mud texture, light pastel colors and colorful skull/clown sculptures throughout. You can definitely tell that it had a feminine touch. If you arrive at this spot before 4pm, get the lunch special. It's after dinner and I'm still full because the chicken fajitas came with a salad, rice, beans, and tortilla on the side. It also had a nice sauce, but I still had to add the green & red pepper sauce to spice it up. I shared my food and still felt more than content & the presentation was beautiful. The other two in my party got the steak tacos w/ rice & beans and shrimp tacos off the regular menu. Everyone gushed at the flavor, portions, and price. My passionfruit mezcal mule was smoky, but really sour. I do wish it had a little more balance (tart/sweet), but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Lastly, the waitress was friendly. We asked to be seated in the back because we had a stroller, two kids, and three adults and despite it being an inconvenience she was able to accommodate. No notes.

Excellent, authentic flavor. - we ordered the guacamole, truffle quesadillas, and 2 ceviches as apps. Generous portions, bold flavors, all delicious. - for main courses we ordered the steak and eggs (9), molcajeate (9), chicken enchiladas (10), and fish burrito (10). We all enjoyed our meals and even had some leftovers to go. Good service. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating to all food requests. Casual, intimate ambiance. Super cute decor and lighting. Can't wait to be back!

Some of the best Mexican food I had in Brooklyn. Service was nice and at a good pace. Got to sit and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. Enjoyed the Mole chicken enchiladas, very tasty. Would definitely come back.

Around 4.4 Was in the area randomly looking for lunch spot. Cute little place that served lunch till 4. Food came out fast and piping hot. Chicken enchiladas were awesome; filled with good amount of chicken and mole sauce was on point. My partner said his chicken fajita was a tad dry. I think I'd return to try other items next time.

From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless -- warm, incredibly attentive, and perfectly paced. The refreshments were so great for a celebration. The Cocktails: Expertly crafted and sophisticated. It was refreshing to have drinks that were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The coffee was served alongside dessert, it was rich and the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal. While the Filet Mignon was a popular and well loved choice among our group, and the Meatballs were universally raved about for being truly excellent, the real showstopper for me was the Chicken Parmesan. I don't typically order steak, so I was delighted by this choice. The cutlet was impressively sized yet elegantly thin, showcasing the high quality of the chicken. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes, which was such a comforting and delicious pairing. It did remind me of visiting Germany believe it or not like a schnitzel style cutlet but still very italian if that makes any sense. If you visit, you simply cannot miss the fried eggplant appetizer with burrata. It is divine! This dish alone would be the perfect excuse to drop by for a casual dinner date or a "girls' night out" centered around appetizers, wine, and to try a dessert. I would absolutely return!

The fried calamari could've been less oily, as this took away from the crunch; also slightly overcooked. Baked clams were decent. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Pizza was great! They reheated for us, since our group was too busy chatting. Desserts - phenomenal! Drinks- ehh. Brunch menu - French toast was decent. The salmon over hash brown , was lacking a touch of something , couldn't pinpoint what was lacking. Chicken and waffles, decent, wasn't the best I've had. Service- jonathan was our waiter during brunch and also our bartender. He's GREAT! During service dinner, we had a female waitress and I felt she lacked attention to details and couldn't flag her down when we wanted something. Overall, service is a hit or miss , I guess? Every visit feels like catching up with an old friend who knows exactly how you like your salsa. That consistency is as comforting as it is rare in the city that never sleeps. Before we even flipped open the menu, they slid over complimentary chips and pico de gallo that set the bar impossibly high. The pico was bursting with bright, tangy tomatoes and cilantro, and those homemade chips were the perfect balance of crisp and salty. It was the kind of welcome that makes you cancel your other dinner plans on the spot. I went for the Taco de Birria made with brisket, and I swear the richest consomé I've ever tasted lived up to its name. Each taco got dunked into that deep, savory broth, then inhaled faster than a greased pig at a county fair. By taco number three, I was pretty sure I'd found my soulmate in molten cheese and slow-cooked meat form. 'The Man' ordered the Chicken Mole, which came with a generous scoop of rice and beans on the side. He sat back, took that first bite, and basically entered a state of pure food-induced bliss. Watching him lose track of time as he devoured every last drop of mole was its own kind of entertainment. We washed it all down with a Piña Margarita, along with another cocktail that leaned so hard into the tequila you could almost feel the agave fields. Add a Modelo on the side and you've got a drinks menu that doesn't play around. These aren't dainty sips--they're the kind that could very reasonably put hair on your chest. Service here is so personalized it's almost telepathic. We never waited more than a second for a refill or a check, and the staff felt like an invisible waitress on standby, ready to swoop in the moment we so much as blinked. We left a hefty tip without hesitation because they earned every penny. Las Margaritas on 3rd and 92nd isn't just our go-to--it's a staple. Whether we're craving tacos at home in our pajamas or settling in for a full sit-down dinner, we know they'll deliver every single time. Consider us regulars for life.

My friend ordered the butterfly field mocktail, which I highly recommend if you're not in the mood for alcohol, it was absolutely delicious. Very complex flavors) and the Queen of the Desert (cool refreshing cucumber followed by a spicy heat in the back of your throat, grew on me over time). Food was also quite good. I enjoyed the truffle popcorn and I still have no idea how they made those lemongrass chicken ginger dumplings so yummy (I normally don't even like chicken dumplings bc they're usually not as juicy as pork, but these didn't have that problem). They gave us a tiny sample of one of their house-made liquors at the end-- let me tell you, I'm not the biggest fan of just having liquor on its own but dang, that went down sooooo smoothly.
