It was my first time ordering from this spot and I didn't like it. I got 3 Carnitas Tacos and they were SO BLAND. I thought it was just bc they were late on my DoorDash pickup (which is another story), but after reading another poor Yelp review, turns out this place just makes bland tacos! Their green tomatillo sauce was also NOT GOOD and very watery. I've had MUCH better tacos at other local spots. I also saw them stick my order of Chicken Enchiladas in the MICROWAVE right in front of me... Needless to say, I was disappointed with my order overall and won't be returning. read more

This is a hidden gem in my opinion. The food here is really good! The Birria torta is now my favorite menu item here. Followed by the regular chicken torta. The burrito bowls are great due to the way you can customize them to have all the veggies. Their coffee's are also very good. Check these guys out! read more

Came here for dinner. It was empty inside but the restaurant had a lot of deliveries. There was nice decor inside for Halloween/Dia de los muertos. We ordered the jalapeño dip as an appetizer. My husband had the wet burrito and I had the chimichanga. We were charged for extra chips which I thought was a little silly. Usually at Mexican restaurants they serve chips and salsa as an appetizer but this restaurant did not. Other than that the food was good and I would order from here. read more

Was craving Mexican food but wanted something new and closer toward home. It was a cold, windy and rainy day when we came. The host/server was extremely hospitable. He was very friendly and outgoing. Since we were the only table dining indoor on such a cold rainy day, we had his undivided attention. Great service, attention to details (refills and extra napkins without even asking) and just an awesome vibe. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. We asked the differences in some items that were familiar food and not familiar (which is why we came to learn and explore new food)... we also asked for the authentic food vs the "well known American-ize food" so that we can understand the cuisine/food abit more. He sold me on his favorite dish which he said, "it is an acquired taste" ad it was more of a stew and not many Americans would like the taste. I ended up loving it! Hubby and I came for lunch (lunch date!) And left very satisfied and happy. We ordered chips with guacamole that also comes with salsa (server brough us hot sauce as well because hot sauce on chips is yum). Ordered: *Large Chips with Guacamole *Taco (3- steak and mixed on corn tortilla) *Bistec Ala Mexican *2 Cokes The Bistec Ala Mexican is more of a stew, the server says combining the rice with the spicy tomato is the way to go. Toward the end, I just dump the rest of the rice and beans straight into the bowl and mixed it. It was very lovely and spicy. I would definitely recommend and come back. Okay I've had this place twice and it is very good. Started off with the tamale which is tasty and uses good quality ingredients, you get two with one order so great value too. Had the burrito one time and healthy burrito another. Love the fact you can pick the ingredients for your burrito since I have an aversion to beans, I know I hear it from mom all the time that is a shortcoming, this is the way to get what I want. This review would be five stars but despite the fact you can ask for ingredients on the app I asked for sour cream in the burrito both times and they didn't put any in. Asked for extra this time in note and they gave me some on the side. If they can customize the burrito exactly as requested through the app it would be my favorite Mexican place but it is still close to being that. Oh if you are someone who will order some spicy ingredients and want a little sweet to balance try the plantanitos and you won't be sorry. read more

Maybe they were having an off day but the tacos barely had any chicken and little flavor. Came here on a Valentine's Day with my sweetheart since the Mexican restaurant across the street was fully reserved. It was empty when we arrived and it seems like a take out place more than dine in. We ordered fish tacos, Al Pastor tacos and loaded nachos which we got extra for adding all the extra ingredients. In addition, we asked for water and received water bottles which we got charged also. I ordered chicken tacos and my order was terrible all the tacos were saggy unseasoned with clumped up chunks of meat "shredded chicken" missing condiments and toppings place was terrible service was bad claimed order would be done in a certain time and was longer then said regret spending my money here eat across the street at the other taco place its better ambiance and seating makes you feel comfortable there with food and service. Great new place (for me) on Avenue U in Brooklyn. Angel took my take out order at the counter and he was very friendly and helpful. He explained the options for everything as I ordered, such as the difference between a regular burrito versus a "wet burrito." I also ordered a beef Chimichanga; which was delicious and I highly recommend it. The restaurant looks very clean and nicely decorated and has a strong family vibe.
