The bartender here was super friendly. The customer we sat next to is very nice. The ambiance chill. And the extensive menu they had for a tasting. Either rum, gin, whiskey was great. Their house made ginger shot very good. Would highly recommend checking out this place

I came here twice as part of the Tippler experience. And boy this place does not disappoint!!! The first time I came in the winter and had a hot toddy. The second time I had a variation of the Moscow Mule. The staff is very knowledgable and go above and beyond to make this a great experience. FYI, the recently renovated too! So be sure to check it out if you haven't been in a awhile. The new vibe feels so cozy and perfect for a date night. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Came here for drinks on a Friday night and we got seats at the bar right away. I love ginger in a cocktail so I was excited to try. They have an extensive menu, so I asked the bartender a few questions before ordering. Ultimately we went with the Purple Rain and the OG G&T. Give them a try.

Located in Industry City, I can't rave about this place enough! A fantastic alcohol collection, creative cocktails, many spiced with ginger. Bourbon, rye, gin. Woody drinks, floral drinks, basic cocktails. Fantastic mellow vibe. Super cool bartenders. Live performances (I'm listening to a fun jazz duo right now). Would recommend this as part of your industry city experience any time! Tip: don't order the Roberta's pizza (presumably frozen and brought over). Unless you just need to soak up the alcohol, it's pretty terrible! EDIT: I just spent six hours chatting with the staff and some regulars and this place is so cool and down to earth. It encompasses all I love about New York City and Brooklyn.

5 star for their tasting room + 5 star for their product. If you like ginger, you'll love's Barrow's Ginger Liqueur. To be honest, everyone should keep a bottle of this on their bar cart. It works great as a digestif drinking it straight, but it works beautifully in cocktails that have ginger elements. One of my favorite cocktails to make is a penicillin. Unfortunately if you make your own ginger syrup at home, it loses its edge/bite relatively quickly if stored more than a few days. However, I can make a fabulous penicillin using Barrow's anytime I want! They have an indoor area to hang out and try a variety of cocktails or sample their wares in the heart of Industry City. They also have pretty great outdoor seating, with fire pits and live music on weekends. Definitely stop by here to chill over drinks, and don't forget to leave with some bottles to take home!

This place is such a cool thing to experience. They make their own ginger liqueur and it's "intense". I ended up getting an old fashioned with some of the ginger liqueur incorporated and it blended really well with the bourbon. The owner was very engaging and they even had a live band come through. They also have a fire pit outside.

I love fresh ginger, crystallized ginger, ginger beer and now ginger liqueur. When you take a sip of this liqueur it feel like all that ails you magically disappears. I added it to a beer that wasn't my favorite and the Intense ginger liqueur made it taste amazing. I have tasted The ginger liqueur in a sangria and it was unique and very good. The bottle comes with a few recipes. It is definitely a good flavor to mix and experiment. I also purchased two kinds of the non-alcoholic ginger beers. Both were good, not too sweet. I am a fan!

Yet another fantastic business joins the wonderful maze that is Industry City. Sunset Park has long been a hub of culture, history, and food but with all the markets, food courts, distilleries, and tasting rooms making up this former warehouse space, the neighborhood is now a full blown destination. I love ginger liqueur, and the menu of creative cocktails Barrow's offers introduced me to so many interesting ways to incorporate it into my drinks. On a hot day, nothing beats the refreshing zing of a frozen mule. Theirs is delicious and just $10, significantly more affordable than the $15+ frozen drinks you'll find around the complex. I also tried an iced coffee spiked with ginger liqueur, a combination I didn't know would work but absolutely does. Industry City has multiple courtyards with plenty of tables and seating and I highly recommend grabbing a seat near Barrow's for easy access-- you'll want to go back for multiple rounds.

Cool little spot. We had to order from a window instead of going inside and the signs weren't super clear though. We got here right when they opened and ordered a Frozen Intense Mule which is Barrow's Ginger Liquer, Fresh Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, and Black Button Professional Vodka. It's really good and I think they make it in the AM for the day. Pretty strong and glad I didn't get the XXX which adds an additional shot of ginger moonshine on the top. Plenty of space to sit outside including a cool little fire pit.

That's it!! This place is officially my place of comfort. I love the chill vibes and relaxing music. With each sip I can feel the days stressors floating away. I love the consistency! I've never had a bad drink.... EVER! I think that says a lot. So for all of you ginger lovers out there, this is your sign. Stop on by and get a taste of Brooklyn's homemade ginger liqueur.

Best way to cool down from this heat is to have a frozen ginger mule. It's cold and super gingery. Which i love the most. Definitely coming back to try their other drinks.

LOVE AT FIRST SIP. Dropped by here last weekend while exploring Industry City. Ginger-flavored cocktails are among my favorite types of drinks, so when I saw the sign pointing to a ginger liquor brewery, imagine who immediately decided we were heading over right now. Walking in on a Saturday afternoon there was a steady stream of people, some stayed and some didn't. The half dozen tables were about 2/3 full during the duration of our visit. Shelves of metal casks--filled with ginger macerating in 190 proof alcohol--divide the seating area from the brewing prep areas on the right side of the space. Behind the bar are additional brewing areas. The owners and staff are very friendly--sharing information about their products and offering samples of both the ginger liquor and frozen Moscow mule. Let it suffice to say my eyes lit up upon trying both. This liquor is for true ginger lovers. Spicy. Warming. Not for those of you who like your Schweppes or Canada Dry ginger ale. This is for those who belong to the association of committed ginger-lovers, of which I am a card-carrying member. The Moscow mule was a refreshing gingery summer punch of a slushie, made with the ginger left from brewing the liquor and supposedly a considerable amount of vodka. Dangerous, dangerous stuff. I could easily drink 3 or 4 of these. Aside from the remarkable ginger drinks, they have a small encyclopedia's worth of adult beverages listed in their drink menu, including numerous bourbons and whiskeys. We did a bourbon flight ($22) and thoroughly enjoyed sampling these. There's a ginger beer/ale retail display to pick up some artisanal ginger beers if you fancy, but personally I had to buy a bottle of the ginger liquor to go--the large one is $30 and they provide a handy list of cocktail recipes so you can mix a couple dozen different drinks at home using this liquor. Excited to try these!

I've come here a couple times and love the selection of drinks and fire pit ambiance. Industry City is such a gem within NYC. Most recently I came here for Sasha Graham's Ghost Stories by the Fire featuring the authors of "A Woman Unbecoming" and that was by far the best event I've been to this Fall! I'll be back.

It's not a huge restaurant (so I would make a reservation): a few 2- and 4-seat high tops, maybe 6 or 7 tables, and a bar with about 10 seats. But the environment is warm and cozy, with low lighting and music loud enough to enjoy, soft enough to have conversations with your party, the bartender, or whoever else. The servers are all excellent. Very charming and friendly. They check in often, but not in an intrusive way. I've also seen the owner walking around, greeting customers, and talking with his staff. He's always around, and he's a friendly presence. There's such a great neighborhood vibe here - there are definitely some regulars here, and it helps create a homey atmosphere. The food here is outstanding. I have not had a bad dish here. The Caesar salad is actually made with several long stalks of romaine, so it stays crisp. The meatballs come with polenta around the plate, and it is fantastic. I've also had the hangover spaghetti (excellent) and the lasagna (amazing). Their calamari also has a few shrimp and (I think) some bay scallops, so that's a great addition. And their cocktails are outstanding - potent but flavorful. I don't get a chance to go to Red Hook much, but when I do, I definitely want to stop here. It's on the "main road" of Red Hook, and there are definitely some cute shops and coffee places around, and of course, there's Ikea not too far. This restaurant, though, deserves your business.
