Excellent beer selection. I like going to a place where they have things I haven't seen or tried before and this place had a lot. The service came across as disinterested...like "Gosh, do I have to actually give you a beer when it's almost completely empty in here and walking from where I'm leaning against the bar to where you are sitting is the most exhausing thing ever". Buddy, I just asked you if I could have a beer...I didn't request that you do the whole "Thriller" dance routine! Location is great, very close to trains. Go for the beer!

This is becoming one of my favorite spots in Clinton Hill. Always a warm and super cozy atmosphere especially when it's been a cold, rainy day. The candle lights add a gentle, romantic glow so feel free to bring a date here. The bartender isn't too talkative but there's a friendly vibe all round. Come and make some friends. The End.

Shakespeare oatmeal stout. Tons of craft beers. Great options on happy hour.

All of my friends were running on "Hispanic Time" when I was trying to figure out how to kill time before the last Yelp Brooklyn event the other week and noticed this place after hopping off the train and the limited amount of reviews for it so far. It's nice and cozy and homey inside though with a lot of Christmas lights strung up. The bathrooms are interesting. . . . all black with white letters scrawled on the walls reminding you to 'flush', 'wash your hands', 'turn off the lights', 'go out the door', etc. The happy hour I think is a $1 off pretty much everything on their draft list. It's co-owned by the same people that own Mission Dolores actually in Park Slope. The beer list is quite extensive and I asked to try a sample of the "Carton Something Like Sandy", brewed in aged barrels for over 2 years with an over-fermentation because of the hurricane in the Atlantic Highlands. It's slightly sour in not a completely aesthetic way and so I went with the Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout. Though, the guy next to me seemed to really enjoy the unique taste. I like how random the selection was though and its an ever-rotating craft list that was clearly carefully picked out. They also have food which I did not sample but have heard fantastic things about. They bring in a variety of sausages from outside Der Kommissar and Brooklyn Artisinal Foods. If in the neighborhood, give it a try. It's very low key. Low key enough that I was able to read "World War Z" inside. Also, they have pinball machines in the back.

Great cocktails, cool bartenders, cute pups, but toddlers screaming and running in a bar? No thanks, oof!

Cozy, chill, excellent drinks and great service. A new fave for neighborhood beverages in a casual but not too divey vibe.

We went on a Friday night with a party of 3 and did a walk in. That was a risky move and to our luck, the hostess was so sweet and squeezed us in as the last party of the night! This is a must visit when in downtown Brooklyn. We couldn't try the food since the kitchen closed and we were the last to enter but we were able to try 3 drinks and I recommend them all! 1. Donkey Conga ($22) Bourbon and aged cachaça centrifuged with Banana. Followed by Cynar & sweet vermouth. 2. Manta Ray ($22) Coconut cocktail of apricot, ginger, and mint. London dry gin & Haitian Rhum. 3. Star cycle ($18) Shakened milk washed gin, Jasmine, and grapefruit

The stars finally aligned this winter and I had the opportunity to try it out. The vibes are perfect. Fog and bubbles, sea noises and all of the art go together seemlessly. Drinks were great. We had three and left suitably sloshed for the night with no aftereffects. We didn't have too many bites but the food was very good for a bar. I'm excited to go back and I hope we have just as much luck getting in next time.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

When the bar had multiple empty tables?) to asking us multiple times how many drinks we planned to order, then getting clearly frustrated when we sipped on our $25 cocktails slower than he would prefer. To top it all off, he spotted a deck of cards in my open purse and came over to tell us that "this isn't a board game cafe, you need to leave if you want to do that" Very strange attitude for the location and vibes of the neighborhood, save your money and go down 5th a bit further to find cocktail bars that actually want patrons!
