I don't really love bars that have bouncers to get inside of them, especially in such an inviting neighborhood. We were able to get in with no reservation but couldn't stay long, which is fine. I think your experience is dependent on the DJ of the night. The place felt very loud and the drinks were good but nothing out of the world. I'm not sure that I would go back and my friends felt the same way.

    Party of 4 leaving.

My friends and I frequented this place in previous years and really enjoyed it. Not anymore, sadly. Today, I discovered they're engaging in unwelcoming gatekeeping. A hostile host (50/60s with a ponytail) refused entry, saying that there were no available tables even though two men had just exited (I was one of a party of 3). Another group of 3 or 4 arrived outside shortly after us; he said the same thing to them. My friends and I walked to a nearby bar; not even 5 minutes passed before I witnessed the other party enter. A few minutes later, another group exited the lounge. Figuring we'd re-attempt entry now that a few people had left, we approached the door. The host again claimed that there were "no tables" available. We calmly questioned him; he was hostile and condescending the entire time. About 2 minutes after that unpleasant interaction, we witnessed another group of 4 people exit. We waited just to see if the host would be bold enough to deny entry. He reemerged from the lounge to offer us seats. Naturally, we left

Pretty fun listening bar. The ambiance is really nice and I love the decor. The drinks were decent.

Loved the vibes and music. The super ki no bi was a pretty good drink although it was a bit sweet. You have to order at the bar which was strange. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

I really used to enjoy coming to this bar. I live in the area and have been here at least 6 times over the years. Today, however, my experience was completely different and extremely disappointing. There's now someone stationed at the front of the cocktail lounge who goes inside to "check for seats." I was told there were no seats available, yet when I looked inside, I clearly saw open seats at the bar and only two others waiting for a seated at the bar . What made this even more uncomfortable was the fact that I was the only brown person there, and there were no other brown patrons inside at the time. It honestly felt like there were "no seats available" for me specifically. If I had been seated and treated like I always have been in other restaurants and bars, everything would've been fine. Instead, the interaction felt dismissive and left me feeling unwelcome. This was not the experience I expected from a place I've supported multiple times. Very disappointed. 0/10.

The cocktails, music, and vibes are amazing here! This was such a great accidental find for a nightcap in downtown Brooklyn! We went on a Wednesday night around 7pm, and the music from the vinyl albums with their amazing stereo setup and spirit forward cocktails made for a great night! 4.5/5 Super Bee -- strong honey flavor with the gin 4.5/5 Stormbringer -- rum cocktail with a gingery kick Would love to make a second trip on a weekend to experience their live DJ setup!

Cute and dim-lit cocktail bar hidden away on the busy Park Slope 5th Ave BID. The storefont is actually pretty difficult to find and you'd be surprised but the front door is a bit of a puzzle. If you walk up to this place and see a small group of people struggling to find the front door, much less open the door, you've come to the right place. The cocktails range from the textbook classics to modern takes on the classics. Also worth noting that although they do not serve food, they will not allow you to bring certain foods at their discretion. I learned the hard way and had to scarf down my tacos from the truck down the block in the blistering cold before coming in.

A tiny bar with big speakers and good drinks. We were not sitting in the best audio seats but the sound was good. Classic songs on the turntable, Bossa Nova , jazz R&B the selection albums were displayed. The selected songs were from the bartender or Dj working around. No input was allowed, we got over it, while drinking some nice mixed drinks.. Finally we really liked the stained glass front window.

Super chill spot to grab a cocktail and listen to some tunes. Very small, intimate bar with great vibes. Came here with a couple friends, and it was pretty busy on a Thursday evening. There's limited seating at the front and the back, and a fairly decent bar counter, and a ledge in the back where you can stand. The place is inspired by Japanese record bars, and for you audiophiles out there, it's a pretty sweet sound system setup. Great music and vibe when we were there. Also, special props to the service - on a crowded and bustling evening, the bartender came out behind the bar to ask if we wanted first dibs on a table since we had been standing in the back for so long. She didn't have to do that, so was much appreciated! Look forward to many future evenings here at Honeycomb!

Very intimate little spot. I think I found this recommendation on TT. From the outside you wouldn't really know it was a bar since the glass is sorta frosted, also there is no handle for the door. Just push and you walk into a narrow bustling bar. Music was not the best, but I'm not into house and that's the vibe it was giving. A bartender helped me after a few minutes of waiting. The ginger mule was good with a strong ginger beer. If you're trying to have a conversation, you won't hear much but the music.

    Super Ki-no Bee .

Honestly I should have written a review for this bar months ago . I am absolutely obsessed with this bar . The place gives mostly speakeasy hifi bar with such an amazing decor and incredible atmosphere. I come here at lease twice a month to get their black truffle infused Bee's Knee. The bartenders are so friendly and kind. As a bartender I am so thrilled yo find a bar that has great music and ambience. I will make sure to tell everyone about this bar .

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

It's classy but not too fancy and has enough space but doesn't get too loud. They have a nice happy hour menu from Tuesday-Friday from 5 to 7 as well as all day on Sundays which has very decent prices such as an $8 old fashioned among other things (see the photo.) the bartenders I've had before have been friendly with some good recommendations. Outside of their wide selection of cocktails which run the gamut of liquors, they have a nice wine selection, a handful of craft beers, and a very small food selection. The first time I was here, I had one drink which was the excellent Star of The Ice Snow for $17 with Iwai 45 whiskey, brie-washed Carpano Antica, Fernet Branca, barrel-aged orange bitters, and sassafras bitters. It had a a bit of bitterness, some sweetness, some spice, and some light mint from the fernet and was a pleasant complex drink and was certainly worth it from the price. The second time I was here was just this evening where I had two drinks. I first went with something that I was thinking of getting the first time which is their outstanding Vivian Darkbloom for $15 with Union mezcal, lime, pineapple, charcoal, Velvet Falernum, and lime bitters. The drink has mild citrusy sweetness as well a bit of smoke from the mezcal and is probably my favorite drink I've had here though the other drink I had the first time gives it stiff competition. I asked the bartender what he recommends and after a small discussion, he said either The Bell Witch (which is a gin and chartreuse cocktail with a strong herbal flavor) or what I went with. Said drink was the Under a Cosmic Cloak for $16 with rhubarb infused rum, Trois Rivieres rum, Smith & Cross rum, yerba mate, lime, grapefruit, and whey. The bartender said that it wouldn't be overly sweet as the rum was milk washed and this was indeed the case with just a mild sweetness and some fruitiness. There was a light herbal flavor otherwise presumably from the mate as well as a light citrus note and overall, it was good though definitely the least complex of the drinks I've tried and probably my least favorite but was definitely not a bad drink. The drinks here are reasonably priced for the quality, the bartenders are friendly, and it is classy but not overbearingly so. I can see why it's popular and I wish I stopped in more.
