Lunar Glow Martini- Shochu, dry vermouth, celery bitters, & a lemon twist. Fun spin with unique flavor
    Glenn C.

Part coffee bar, part wine bar, and part event space, Saturn Road is a quaint and quirky spot on Court Street they used to have the other location of Ovenly, a bakery based in Greenpoint (similar to the also closed Charlotte Patisserie.) The place has a bit of a space theme but not overly so with their signature drinks and coffees having a Saturn symbol next to them. The staff here are very friendly and it's pretty quiet inside with there also being a gorgeous outdoor space that is already popular and I presume will become even more so when it's not nearly as hot out. In terms of food, I haven't tried, but they have a $12 Queso with cheese from Thursday to Sunday which makes sense from their Texas origins as well as chips (everyday) as well as Steve's key lime pie and cookies. Not much but it gets the job done. The coffee quality was good here at least from what I can tell from an excellent Flat White which was $5.25. It wasn't super bitter and it was prepared well with me personally having a slight preference to the beans at the pretty nearby Joy Coffee but barely. Their signature drink is a Pecan Praline Latte (which also makes sense) which is $1 more and I'll try another day when I'm in the mood for a sweeter drink (possibly Monday after I get lunch at the recently opened Tera Mera next door.) The cocktail menu, which is reasonably priced from $14 to $16 and $2 less on some days for happy hour, has shrunk a little bit from when I first went here though they have still kept their signature Dark Matter Martini as well as their Bev's Margarita with their drinks now all having prosecco or tequila. I had a Lunar Glow Martini with shochu, dry vermouth, celery bitters, & a lemon twist for $15. It was very lightly sweet with some herbal and vegetal notes and a bit of sourness and it was unique. Not my favorite drink in the world but reasonably priced compared to other cocktails in the surrounding neighborhood. I'd probably order the Dark Matter next time if I stop in here for a drink before I move. This is a nice place with some nice vibes. I hope they do well and judging by the crowds and some reoccurring customers, they seem to be.

    Calligraphy Class!

I visited this bar for a Calligraphy Class! The bar is small but they have a wonderful backyard with a great amount of space. The Calligraphy class was held outdoors in the backyard area. I've never done Calligraphy before so I was excited to practice the lovely handwriting. The instructor for the class was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was entitled to one free drink from the bar. I had the orange wine which was very good. The service was great. The class was very informative and I will continue to practice my Calligraphy skills. Hopefully I can become an expert.

This quaint shop is a coffee shop in the day and bar at night, which is fun. The decor is modern and vintage with various Saturn references. You can see all the attention to detail in their decor, which I adore. There's bar seating in the front, a movie screening in the back room, and a gorgeous backyard space that feel very homey. I had Bev's Margarita ($14), which comes in lime, mango, or hot honey flavor. Definitely recommend that hot honey, which gave it a nice sweet kick. It's such a nice space, but drinks are a bit on the pricey side as the cocktail was loaded with ice and the beers were $8 for a canned drink. Nonetheless, a nice addition to Cobble Hill and would come back to try their coffee and baked goods.

Very friendly and kind. Calming atmosphere. They have a beautiful outdoor seating. Variety of games for the table. Small back area for seating and front area for seating as well over seeing the street. Variety of beers sweet, sour and bitter.

Great service and drinks. The patio is one of the best in Brooklyn. Our go to when we're in the neighborhood.

We split a bottle of one of the lightly chilled chiantis the Fiasco and it was perfection. We mainly got the winter specials which were the asparagus, smoked eel, duck salad and scallops which were all truly phenomenal. The scallop dish was quite small so not the best for sharing but the rest were all amazing. From the regular menu we got the mushroom toast which was absolutely delicious and great for sharing and the pork chop which is one of the best dishes I have ever had. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and was incredibly juicy. For dessert, we got the creme brûlée which I am also still thinking about and one of the best desserts I have ever had. Would absolutely come back!

Tasty cocktails but I do wish they had more options on the menu -- there are only 3 cocktails to order from. Half chicken with scallion ginger sauce was pricey for the portion size with no sides but perfectly cooked and seasoned. Chocolate dessert was also fantastic!

Everything on the menu looked amazing, so I had the waiter choose my dish/wine pairing and he did a great job! I got the pesto with shrimp. The pasta is handmade and the wine is natural from Italy. The pesto is made the day of in the morning. All fresh ingredients. They have indoor seating and then more seating in the back that is the perfect spot. I love the exposed brick wall. This might be my new favorite Italian spot. I will be back soon! Thank you for the amazing experience.

Instead of picking a wine from a menu, you tell your server the flavor and mood of wine you're looking for and they bring out glasses or a bottle for you based on that. The food here is delicious and I was happy to see gluten free pasta options. The pork ragu was good but I was truly impressed by how good the texture of the gluten free pasta was. For me, the show stopper was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and the potato crust was a fun touch. The salad was nice and simple, but didn't blow me away. Portion sizes were good, though the prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is a great place for a friends' night or date night, and I'd keep the group small or make a reservation in advanced because it gets busy. It is definitely a more expensive spot, but worth it!
