Super nice cozy wooden booth seating, tasty rosé, great for a cold day. Pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon but we were able to get a table without waiting for too long. Fun décor, cool art and old records. The staff checked in on us often. The food smelled amazing so I'll have to try it next time.

This location has historically housed excellent spots that couldn't keep it going (RIP Freek's Mill); here's hoping Liar Liar breaks the cycle. Billed as a natural wine bar, they are also offering up cocktails (mostly martinis) and a short but sweet menu of mostly excellent food, all served by a friendly staff with a heaping portion of good vibes. We came in for some sustenance before an art show around the corner, and it was a good decision. The caesar salad is already one of my favorites (and I eat a lot of those), every part of the steak frites (the steak, the frites, and the au poivre sauce) is phenomenal, and the fried chicken sandwich is top tier. That's nearly the whole menu, so they are keeping it tight. I can't put my finger on why I didn't love the burger, but I'll stick to the steak and chicken sandwich next time anyway. It's always a good idea to order wine at a wine bar, or martinis when they have a martini menu. Both good choices, and better than the mezcal punch on the menu that I found to be overly sweet. Stick to the stuff in their wheelhouse, and you can't go wrong. This is my kind of place, and I'll be back.

My hunt for a cozy, dope neighborhood spot was stopped dead in its tracks at Liar Liar. Good Lord, this place is beautiful. Bar tenders switching out records on the player, serving bottles upon bottles of wine, stirring a damn good 50/50 martini, oh, and an insane steak frites. The space is sexy as hell, but not overpowering. Feels casual enough to have post office happy hour, yet seductive enough to have a dressed up date night. The workers are great. Awesome recommendations, attentive, and meticulous in their craft. I can for dinner. I got just that. The steak frites was insane. They keep the fries simple: salted. That's all they need. These are a people pleaser fry in the best way possible. Super nice crunch, but not too crispy. The bit of salt forces you to keep picking them up. The steak was cooked to perfection. The au poivre was rich, peppery, and umami. The perfect pairing. And when you coat a fry in it? I think the world stopped for just a moment. If you come here and don't consider this steal frites elite, you can call me a Liar Liar. I assure you: Liar Liar will exceed every expectation.

Love a bar in an unlikely location. On one of the objectively most polluted corners of the city, you'll now find Liar Liar, a positively charming natural wine bar. The food menu is light, but we opted for some vegetable forward snacks, including a nicely-textured Caesar salad and pleasantly-garlicky broccolini. But the 5 star rating is really for the whimsical vibes.

The steak was ok. sauce was a little salty, Maybe just too much sauce in general. but still enjoyable. the chicken (ordered without the bread) was absolutely amazing. drinks were great too. the server was very attentive.

Everything on the menu looked amazing, so I had the waiter choose my dish/wine pairing and he did a great job! I got the pesto with shrimp. The pasta is handmade and the wine is natural from Italy. The pesto is made the day of in the morning. All fresh ingredients. They have indoor seating and then more seating in the back that is the perfect spot. I love the exposed brick wall. This might be my new favorite Italian spot. I will be back soon! Thank you for the amazing experience.

Instead of picking a wine from a menu, you tell your server the flavor and mood of wine you're looking for and they bring out glasses or a bottle for you based on that. The food here is delicious and I was happy to see gluten free pasta options. The pork ragu was good but I was truly impressed by how good the texture of the gluten free pasta was. For me, the show stopper was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and the potato crust was a fun touch. The salad was nice and simple, but didn't blow me away. Portion sizes were good, though the prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is a great place for a friends' night or date night, and I'd keep the group small or make a reservation in advanced because it gets busy. It is definitely a more expensive spot, but worth it!
