Love the owner and the staff here (I won't name names - can't show favoritism, they're all great! ), as well as the daytime regulars. They have a great selection of beers including some really good non-alcoholic ones from Athletic Brewing Company. The free bagels on Sundays are great too. Also, be sure to check out the sidewalk sign, usually good for a laugh.

Came here with a page out of the Brooklyn Pub Pass. The Brazen Head is the textbook definition of a "neighborhood watering hole." It was filled with locals taking advantage of the happy hour specials and complimentary cheese and crackers set up towards the back. The bar is known for its rotating snack availability to patrons and its stellar drink menu. We've all seen bars that offer board games to customers during their stay, but books? That's a new one. The BH had a stand of books by the entrance for its customers to flip through while they imbibe. This is an introvert's dream! Their beer menu is very crafty, and they also have a decent spirit and wine menu as well. They have a selfie station in the back where you're able to use props and tag the Brazen Head on your social media posts. They also have a dart board which is where I spent most my night last night. The BH has cozy couches in all 4 corners of the establishment. They also have outdoor seating for when it gets warm. Aside from the complimentary finger foods, they have potato chips and goldfish available for purchase at the bar. If all fails, you can always bring in food from outside. The service was warm, welcoming, and fast. I can see why it's such a popular hangout spot. I would definitely return when I'm in the area.

My food, chicken tenders and French Fries, was good but I didn't have a mixed drink as I wasn't feeling the vibe of the bartender. So I kept it to glasses of Pinot Now that I think about it, I can't tell if it were the same woman both times, which would make more sense to having a similar experience, and if so, I'd chuck it up to her having lackluster performance, rather than than the bar lacking overall. This used to be my go-to happy hour spot when I worked in the area, and it took me months before I even knew it was called O'Keefe's because there's no signage. Whatever signs exist are there to advertise the available drinks, happy hour deals, and daily specials. That, and TV screens in every corner (most plugged into the sports channels). But don't let that fool you into thinking this is some gruff and dirty hole in the wall. Drinks are reliably good and the bartenders really know what they're doing around cocktails. Service has always been prompt, even when they're at their busiest. Best of all, whoever's in the kitchen needs some serious props because they elevate bar food to a whole new level. I've ordered wings nearly every time I've come, and you know they're good when all conversation 'round the table pivots to some version of 'How good are these wings?!' The honey garlic is easily my favorite, but I've never had a bad flavor. It seems silly to praise a bar for their fries, but they're excellent here too - starchy, screaming hot from the fryer, and perfectly salted. That said, ignore the healthier options. A Caesar salad came with just a handful of croutons and an absolute deluge of dressing that rendered the lettuce underneath nearly inedible. The space inside is larger than it looks outside. The front area has plenty of high tables and seating by the bar, while there are lower two- and four-tops towards the back (where the air conditioning is a little better felt since they tend to keep the windows and doors wide open by the entrance). There's also a second floor space, but I've never ventured up since I've always managed to find seating below.

Service is outstanding - staff are super attentive, very well versed on the menu and love to throw in a joke or two. During my visit, I found out that Persian New Year coincides with Spring, so this was a great way to celebrate the day. All the food we had was very hearty and well seasoned. I will say, a slight complaint I had was that the marinara that came with the calamari was warm, and I can't say I loved that. At least room temp, I would think. Tried one of the stew specials - ghormeh sabzi - so flavorful and delicious, I definitely savored those leftovers. I really do look forward to returning to try their lamb stew.

The entrance is tucked away and inviting, and it's a perfect little spot for a quick brunch with friends or even a casual date. We started off with calamari which was honestly quite disappointing. The dusting of cornmeal seemed like an add choice, texturally. I'm not sure if they used fresh squid or not because it seemed cut a little too thin. The calamari was also super dry and chewy and it was painfully obvious that it was over-cooked which was a shame. For our entrees we went with the pepper crusted salmon and the steak and eggs. My salmon was cooked perfectly. I loved the crispy crust and the flavors were spot on. My side salad was pretty lackluster and felt like an afterthought on the plate. I also thought the size of the salmon fillet was on the smaller side. The hanger steak bite I got was a bit on the chewier side but nonetheless well seasoned. I think they can make a few improvements to the food here. With the location and ambience, there is no reason upping the quality of food wouldn't push them to be a more stellar establishment!

The atmosphere is rugged, familiar, heavy with regulars who know each other. That can be comforting, but it also means new people feel a little on the outside looking in. Their beers are solid, the vibe is strong (sports, darts, classic pub banter), and it has the bones of a great local hangout. But there's a resistance to change or warmth toward newcomers, which makes it feel like a place "for the in crowd." If they worked on opening the door just a bit more for first‑timers (friendlier service, small gestures of welcome), Paddy's could be even better. They show Premier League and will open up early for every Arsenal game but they will also show other sports like rugby, college and pro football, hockey, etc. While there is no kitchen, you're more than welcome to bring in your own food and they often host local food vendors for big weekend games.
