    three cocktails on the bar

This is the spot in Red Hook hands down. Ask for their specialty drinks, they are amazing. They have live music that usually sets off a great vibe and atmosphere. Definitely check out this place. Live, love, and laugh - Sha

Still honoring human prices in 2024, this place is very friendly with a fun menu. Now I have to write more just to be allowed by Yelp to post so ya da ya da ya da...

Fantastic rendition of a "dive bar" in Red Hook, Brooklyn! I've had a lot of tacos, even from amazing Michelin star restaurants, and this spot has them beat! I had chips and guac--some of the best I've ever had. The chips are clearly homemade and crispier and more flavorful than any I've had! I also had three tacos for 17 bucks. I had the Al pastor (juicy, dripping with flavor), fish (perfectly fries, tons of taste, crispy), as well as carnitas, also crispy and tasty. I had a couple of delicious drinks, including a spicy margarita. This has a working class neighborhood bar feel, and the food is definitely street food, authentic quality. Love this place, and would take anyone visiting!

    fish taco, paloma, cucumber margarita

Biked around the neighborhood over the weekend with perfect weather. Decided to stop in to a place that we've had on our list for months for a quick snack. Outdoor seating (both covered and uncovered) is available first come first serve. Service was a little slow since it was busy and it is, after all, a dive bar (I don't usually expect A+ table service at dive bars). The cucumber margarita was so refreshing. Paloma was just OK. Maybe next time we'll make them both a double. We ordered fish tacos to snack on. The tortillas were freshly made, with good chew and char flavor. Sad that there was only 1 tortilla per taco. The fish was perfectly fried and the chipotle mayo was a nice touch. 10/10 would order again.

Brunch was great here. Good sized portion, relaxed service, fresh tasting food and nice drinks. The huevos a la Mexicana had scrambled eggs, cilantro, jalapeño, tomato and came with rice and vegetarian beans. I'd have this again but would also like to try some of the tacos next time.

I just love that when you go to New York and enter a restaurant or a bar that you are immediately asked for your vaccinated information. San Pedro Inn was no exception and the employee that asked me for mine was just very pleasant and kind. We were there for the Barnacle parade and they were giving away food to those who participated. Extremely generous. I don't really know what they gave away because we didn't have any but I appreciate the thought. I went in and got some Mexican beers on draft. Very very good and the service was excellent.

I arrived at 12:15 p.m. on a Thursday and was seated immediately as a party of one, despite the restaurant being completely packed. If you're hoping to grab lunch--especially with a group of two or more--I highly recommend getting there around 11:30 a.m. The service was thoughtful and attentive even at full capacity. I started with an IPA before ordering the star of the show: the Dry-Aged Cheeseburger (recommended medium), priced at $34. It completely lived up to the hype. Easily one of the top three burgers I've ever had, alongside Au Cheval and Nowon. Red Hook Tavern doesn't overcomplicate things. It's a "run up the middle" approach to burger-making: simple execution with exceptional ingredients. The top bun is slightly dense, while the lightly toasted bottom bun perfectly soaks up the juices. The patty is grilled beautifully, the cheese has an incredible char, and the onions underneath help balance the richness. It's a testament to how quality ingredients and precise execution can produce something extraordinary. I'd be remiss not to mention the cottage fries. They're unbelievably addictive and the perfect supporting act to the burger. Red Hook Tavern is a true NYC institution, and I highly recommend making the trip to Red Hook for this burger alone.

As someone who has come to this bar regularly to watch Knicks playoff games, I can confidently say…read moreI will never return after what happened during the NBA Finals last night. What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks
