    Shrimp Taco

Who doesn't like tacos? This is a great little spot with consistently good food. The Birria tacos are ah-mazing but the birria consome was disappointing. It tasted like lightly seasoned water with extra raw onions. I was expecting a thicker sauce with a hearty flavor. The shrimp taco has a battered fried shrimp that reminds me of tempura. Although it was good, I prefer grilled shrimp. The tamarind agua fresca is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cost is average about $5 or $6 per taco. The portion size is average. I plan to try other menu items next go round.

Tasty shrimp tacos theyre with jalapeños so amazinf, I love spicy. Their red salsa is also very smokey nd spicy I like it. But i didnt like the green salsa. It either had no tsste or got overpowered by the red one. Burrito rice was bland, needed more seasoning.

Three Birria Tacos and a Birria Burrito with a Horchata

The comeback of the century, well maybe the week. I was super close to giving this little hole in the wall a two star review, as the birria burrito I ordered offers little to the imagination and little flavor to boot. It is incredibly bland. Then I tried one bite of the birria tacos and thought okay, maybe they have something here. I took another bite. And another. And another. And another. And another... Until I quickly came to realize that I had come to the end and was crying inside that there were no more bites left. All that was left was liquid consomé and remnants of a large horchata. The birria tacos are so good that I give them the ultimate praise. It is hard to find good Mexican, let alone tacos, in New York, but these tacos come through late in the game when you feel you have exhausted all your options. If you can, speak Spanish to the staff. You will be treated better because of it. Comeback complete.

Juaja Mexican Kitchen is a new family owned restaurant in Flatbush/PLG. They just opened a few months ago. The place itself is big enough to dine in, and the food is fresh and tasty! They haven't started deliveries yet, but will soon based on my convo with the owner. They have a birria taco special on Wednesday's which I was able to take advantage of! Prices are also great! Can't wait to try more of their food options.

Newly opened on Flatbush ave. Clean and colorful. Mainly a to-go spot as they only have about 4 tables inside. We were the only ones dining inside for lunch. The menu was online and posted on their board, no paper option yet. What we ordered: - Huevos con chorizo. Eggs scrambled with sausage. Large portion. I didn't expect it to arrive with a side of rice and beans. I took the rest home. -Birria tacos. Well done steak taco. Very filling. I'd suggest 2 would be enough if you just wanted tacos. -Chalupas Verde. You can chose the meat you want. My husband added steak and loved it. I noticed the taco shell was soft and not fried hard as a typical chalupa. Didn't take away from the dish though. Would return here when I want a mexican food fix.

Still some of the best birria tacos I've ever had! They do the classics well here. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

I went on a Friday evening around 9:30pm. It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.
