First I'll start with the staff. Super friendly and accommodating and the bartender kept everyone at the bar entertained and engaged in conversation. I went for happy hour. The Italian Spritz was strong and tasted great. Truffle fries were amazing. The oysters were a bit gritty and on the smaller side but the mignonette sauce was a great addition. I decided to order the skirt steak as well. The steak was cooked perfectly, well seasoned. The same for the green beans. I wasn't a big fan of the texture of the mashed potatoes but alongside the green beans, it worked.

Stumbled upon this place on a Sunday and went in for an early dinner/late lunch. Only ordered apps but everything was delicious. Only complaint was a few mussels had sand... Super flavorful and great menu selections. A bit pricier but great for a date night or special occasion.

Korkscrew Bistro is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. I've been twice now--once for brunch with family and once for dinner with my husband--and both experiences were excellent. The food is consistently delicious, the specials are always worth trying, and the service is warm and attentive. It's hard to believe this place has only been open for 10 months because it already feels like a cornerstone of the community. The owners clearly care about what they do, and it shows in everything from the menu to the overall vibe. While the interior is a little kitschy, it adds to the charm, and the quality of the food more than makes up for it. With reasonable prices and such a welcoming atmosphere, Korkscrew Bistro is the kind of spot you hope every neighborhood has. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. It's places like this that make supporting local businesses so rewarding.

The service is the first thing you'll notice at Korkscrew- you feel genuinely welcomed and wanted! The food is delicious - so fresh, so well executed, with interesting and new combinations. Brunch and dinner are top notch! While they don't yet have their liquor license, the wine selection is wonderful and the owner is happy to recommend, which I always love. And you wouldn't know they didn't have a liquor license because the wine based cocktails are so yum! The bar is the type you could sit at forever. And the back room/dining area is bright and lovely. The art is from local artists. Can't recommend this place enough :)

Wow! I am absolutely blown away by this lovely restaurant. It's tucked away on a well-known street, in a well-known location in Brooklyn but in an area where there isn't much activity going on in terms of businesses. With that being said, I love how low-key it is. Based on this, no one would know that they have absolutely delicious food, which means a lot considering that there were four people in our party and everyone devoured their food and throughly enjoyed it as well. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and textured. Even the fruit that came with the meal was fresh and the perfect portion. Another thing I liked about the restaurant was that there was something on the menu for everyone and those in our party who preferred healthier options were able to seamlessly order something for themselves. Our waiter was attentive, quick, and patient. The restaurant owner/manager greeted us in a friendly and professional manner when we arrived and when we left. It feels like the goal of the restaurant was to make sure everyone was good at all times, as in, they were big on service. I also loved the ambiance of the place because they have a nice little bar in the front and several tables in a much larger area in the back. Plus, the restroom was clean, comfortable and had warm water AND soap available. The restaurant overall felt homey and cozy. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular there. May the restaurant bloom and prosper in so many good ways. I hope it becomes a Brooklyn staple.

My wife and I found this place on out date night. It is like stepping into a wine bistro in europe. We fell in love with the decor. The owner took care of us. He was extremely nice and has an extreme knowledge of wine. He blew is away with his wine background. He paired our wine perfectly with our meals. I had the Pan seared red snapper turmeric cauliflower puree. Which was out of this world. My wife had the beet salad which was so fresh and delicious. This is our new go to date nite spot! So happy they are here!!!

We loved this place! Great atmosphere-classy yet casual, great service, and delicious food! We went for brunch and loved the menu. I also appreciate when food is very visually appealing as it is here. We had fun brunch cocktails also. I can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu and the wine list looked great!

However, my friends and I were here for the food, so that's what this review is based on. She-wolf Sourdough (7/10) - It was good bread, but nothing really special. Hot Crab Dip (7/10) - Very veggie forward flavors, but you do taste crab. Not bad. Btw, this dish comes with a few pieces of the She-Wolf Sourdough. Danish Dog (7.5/10) - Great snap to the bite of the dog itself. Bread was great. Pickles are interesting, but the curry mayo should be stronger and more bold. Simple mustard would have been better. Old Bay Chicken Wings (8/10) - Nice plump and juicy wings with that dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Yum! Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/10) - Chicken was fried well and bread was fine. However, the chili miso honey was way too much for me. Too sweet, not spicy at all, and just didn't work well. Dry Aged Burger (7/10) - Beef patty needs more seasoning and a better crust. No real char at all, though a decent beef flavor was present. Not into the sprouts, but the tomato jam was good. From what I heard, I had high hopes for the food here. In the end, it was a satisfying meal, but nothing special something I travel so far for again.

He started out as a salesman for Brooklyn Brewery during the 1980s. Eventually he founded his own beer imports company called Raven Importing Company. Raven ultimately wanted to open his own craft beer bar and bottle shop where he could offer consumers microbrews and high quality European brews. The new business, dubbed Brouwerij Lane, was the first of its kind in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood. Brouwerij Lane has 19 rotating draught lines as well as 150+ cans and bottles of local, imported, rare and unique craft brews. Raven also teamed up with brewmaster Chris Prout to open the Dirck the Norseman restaurant and brewpub in 2014. It later evolved into Greenpoint Beer & Ale Company, but it sadly closed its doors in 2024. I recently visited Brouwerij Lane while I was in Brooklyn to see a concert. I arrived early in the day so I could explore some beer bars and shops throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Both neighborhoods have bustling craft beer scenes. Brouwerij Lane has been on my list of places to explore for a while. The interior is small but cozy. There were maybe six other customers enjoying beers when I arrived. I grabbed a table and then looked over the impressive draught menu. I decided to start off with a pour of Mighty Squirrel Brewing's "Volare" (Italian Pilsner). Italian Pilsners are my favorite variety of pilsners, and this one was excellent. Dry-hopped with noble hops, "Volare" (Italian for 'to fly') was crisp and delicious with a nice blend of citrusy notes and hints of freshly baked bread. I also had a look at the shop's impressive can/bottle selection and purchased a can of Brown Girl's Brew's "Lemon Pound Cake" (Lager) to take home. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Brouwerij Van Steenberge's "Tripel De Garre" (Belgian Tripel). This was an AMAZING Belgian beer that had some excellent spice notes. I had an excellent experience at Brouwerij Lane and I highly recommend them to craft beer aficionados or those who want to learn about craft beer!

The bar is located on the ground floor of a building at the corner of Union Avenue and Conselyea Street in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. The building has been owned by the Lamonaca family for multiple generations. Beginning in the 1950s, the storefront served as a pharmacy that was run by Lamonaca's great-grandfather. In the 1970s and '80s, it was a gift shop run by his grandfather. Most recently it was an architecture firm. Lamonaca's grandmother still owns the building and even lives in the upstairs apartment. After spending six years at JP Morgan, Lamonca decided to leave the finance world. Although he was interested in finance, it was never his passion. They had an excellent selection of cans and bottles. I was happy to see that they indeed had cans of Back Home Beer (which I purchased to go). Since I was there, I decided to pull up a seat by the bar and order a draught beer. After looking over the chalkboard menu, I decided to go with Threes Brewing's "Endless Plane" (Wine Barrel-Aged Saison). It was a fantastic beer with delicious notes of white grape and stone fruit; I was very happy with my choice. Everyone at the bar was also very friendly.
