no happy hour for drinks or food. no happy hour at all it is sad amazing drinks and food but it is expensive so to not have a happy hour is a debby downer especially in this economy that's it that's the review.

Listen, Id you know me you know tacos are my love languages and I am really picky about where I partake. Recently started working in Bedstuy and was strolling the neighborhood and happened upon this spot. It was too late for me to order as my break was almost over but I was curious enough to read the reviews and was intrigued. It's a nice location with both an indoor and outdoor vibe. The block has good energy and the outdoor seating kinds of call you in. My first visit, I play it real safe and just order two crispy chicken tacos to go. It took about 10 mins and the staff was courteous. Bay-bee let me tell you, I ate them things like I was about to surrender myself to jail. They were finger licking good. A week later when a friend suggested we meet for happy hour, I suggested we meet here. It was Friday and we arrived around 5:30 to a packed bar, several large groups inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Since it was in the 70's late October we were happy to choose that option. I got the frozen sangria Margarita and 2 crispy chicken and she had guac and chips with the same drink. Once again, scarfed the tacos down. Drink was hitting and I left happy. Needles to say, I'll be back. I'll expand and try new things but it's clear that there are hands down in my top 4 and at that price point, that makes this place a real gem. Go, you won't regret it.

I stopped in here on a Wednesday afternoon while waiting for a friend nearby. I sat at the bar. It was pretty empty inside, but there were a couple of people also sitting at the bar. I ordered the sangria margarita. It was just okay to me, but had a watered down taste. The bartender did need to be reminded to add the sangria so I'm not sure if it was made accurately. I would come back and try other drinks and food items on the menu.

Came here for Cinco De Mayo and I loved the energy! The food was great, service was quick, and they had great music.

Was put looking for something to eat and I was thinking Mexican. Passed one spot and had to go down some other blocks and came upon this gem. They had people outside and people inside. I ordered my food to go. I had the Bowl with shrimp and my boo had the grilled chicken taco and the beef one that stats with Barboa beef ( not the correct spelling). So one of the hostess told me that the BBQ beef was a hit so I got it and boo liked it. I am definitely going back and I would recommend this place. Oh and the happy hour is from 12-7

Sooo happy I found this spot!! Walked in and the mariachi music was blasting. Finally, a Mexican restaurant in nyc that understands the assignment. I had been craving a good Mexican spot and this place does not disappoint. I'm only docking a star because they do not have happy hour. I HIGHLY recommend getting that in order. Also had to doc a star because the margarita drank is pure sugar; I had to order a tequila shot on the side just to balance it out. Here's what I liked: the chips and guacamole was fresh. The service was attentive and helpful. The tacos were average, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I'm harsh sorry I'm from LA. I would come here again for the vibes and guacamole and chips. We stopped by Sonora in Brooklyn mostly out of convenience--it was within walking distance, and we needed a quick bite before a concert. But wow, it did not disappoint! The frozen margaritas were incredible--super refreshing and strong in the best way--and they even offer them to go. My boyfriend ordered the burger, and it was insanely juicy. I went for the shrimp tacos, and honestly, they were the best I've ever had. We ended up taking some extra food to go and ate it after the concert--and somehow, it tasted even better the second time around. Customer service was super great. It was a cute place that also offered bar seating as well. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out!

fantastic place great Mexican the spot for Tacos and Margaritas. the service was fast and attentive the ambiance is amazing

My favorite was easily the pastor as it was so well balanced. The tacos are self dressed, so you can decide what toppings to put on it. Something to note: the tacos are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Los tacos no. 1, so get an extra to account for that.

Taqueria Ramirez is a popular, authentic Mexico City-style taqueria in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known…read morefor its tacos like al pastor, suadero, and tripa, often finished with a blowtorch for a crispy texture. Owned by Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar, the spot stands out for its real flavors, busy small vibe, and unique options like nopales and a rich dipping sauce. The owners opened it in 2021 to fill a gap in NYC's taco scene. I was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to pick up an order from the popular fish spot Piscator. I wanted to check out the food scene there and did some research, which led me to Taqueria Ramirez because it's so popular. When we got there, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. The place has an open kitchen where you can see all the food being made. They offer toppings, but you add them yourself from a table of condiments. I got two Pastor Tacos, a Suadero, Longaniza, and the famous Tripa taco, which is pig intestines. The Pastor tacos had big chunks of meat that were super tasty and flavorful. The Suadero tasted similar to the Pastor, but it was still packed with flavor. I wasn't really a fan of the Longaniza; the flavors didn't do much for me. If you like bold tastes, you might like it. I also didn't love the Tripa -- the texture was off, and it was too soft. They blowtorch the Tripa to make it crispy, but I didn't really get the crunch I expected. Overall, this place makes some really good tacos, and I'd definitely go back to try their Gringa Al Pastor Tacos, which are only available on Tuesdays.
