Chicken (left) and Baja Fish (right)

We stumbled upon Casa Maya while trying to fix a late night taco craving. The interior is quaint, yet cozy and inviting, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We were seated immediately and given the menu. The menu isn't expansive, but covers all that one would need in a place like this. We started off with the chips and guacamole which is served in what I think is a fried tortilla bowl. It was FANTASTIC! The chips were fresh and perfectly crispy. We ate the entire appetizer, including the tortilla bowl. For entrees, we opted to try four different tacos, all of which were nothing short of fantastic. We got chicken, baja fish, carnitas (pork) and birria. Of the four, the standouts were definitely the carnitas and the fish. They just had something extra in them that made them top tier. The size of the tacos were about standard, and they were all very filling, and very fairly priced. My date opted to only have water, while I had a cocktail featuring gin, prosecco and other ingredients. I don't remember the name but it was very good. The other cocktails on the menu looked good as well, but I only had one. When I return I'll be sure to try more. Service was very speedy and professional. The staff was always around in case of questions, and the food came out super fast. The only reason that didn't give this establishment 5 stars is because I think the interior could use a bit of an upgrade. It was a little too plain for my taste. It could be the look/vibe that they're going for, which isn't a bad thing at all. But I think they could add some lights or artwork on the walls. That's just a personal thing, and it definitely doesn't take away from anything else previously mentioned. Overall, this is definitely a great spot for a date, quick bite, or even some drinks after work to unwind and hang out. Although it's far from where I reside in Westchester, I'm definitely planning to come back and try their other offerings. Highly recommended by yours truly

The BEST steak tacos. Wish i was kidding when i say I'm there twice a week just ordering mad tacos, guac & frozen passion fruit margs. Some of the best service I've experienced in a long time.

A neon sign with bright pink cursive lettering states 'Don't Quit Your Day Dream' and is mounted on a green wall. Above the sign, there are hanging decorative elements resembling dried or artificial flowers or leaves. The sign appears to be made of glass or acrylic with neon tubing, and the overall setting suggests an interior space with decorative lighting.

After Lea a event on my girls trip we googled tacos and came upon this restaurant no wait relaxed atmosphere great customer service our waiter/Bartender Von was very attentive and friendly we enjoyed our food and drinks recommended

Chicken Taco - Two chicken tacos with chopped grilled chicken, cilantro, and diced onions on corn tortillas are presented on a blue and white checkered paper. A lime wedge is placed beside the tacos, and the tacos are garnished with additional cilantro and onions. The presentation suggests a casual dining or street food setting, emphasizing Mexican-style cuisine.

Sometimes all you need is a good taco and great company! The second night in NYC found out one of my friends was working at a Mexican-style bar and restaurant called Casa Maya, so I decided to check it now out. Honestly had no idea what to expect from the area but was pleasantly surprised and welcomed by the environment! A fantastic bartender greets you, seating is open at the bar, and there are tall boys for tables as well. On the second floor, there is a lounge area and a modest dance floor, and space for DJ. The DJ that night was dope and got the dance floor bouncing. Shout outs to the bartender Mel that night, who made an amazing margarita which she dubbed a "Melgerita" if she is bartending, and you should most definitely try. Regarding food, I got classic steak and chicken tacos with onions and Cilantro, which were perfect for me. My friends got the chicken Burrito bowl, corn, and Taco De Birria which came with soup for dipping the Tacos. It was all so good and was just the right amount to dance for the rest of the evening. Overall, it's a cute, chill environment with some good food. If you are in the area and want some vibes with some decent tacos, give Casa Maya a shot. 4 out of 5

Vegetarian Taco

Wow, first time eating from this place and it won't be the last. I had the steak tacos and my boyfriend had the vegetarian tacos. All the ingredients were super fresh. The steak in the tacos was so tender it melted in my mouth and my boyfriend said the veggies were seasoned really well. The shells on both tacos were perfectly crispy, perfect for dipping in the Birria soup. Also, put the green sauce on EVERYTHING it is amazing! They haven't fully opened up (damn you COVID) but they are available for pick up and delivery. I can only imagine how popular this place will be once indoor dining is available.

Best tacos ever. Every single taco was amazing ( I tried all of them) . The staff is amazing. I highly recommend

Steak burrito bowl - A foam takeout container is divided into three sections. The largest section contains a steak burrito bowl with rice, grilled steak slices, shredded cheese, and chopped onions. The top left section has a side salad with lettuce, tomato, and possibly other vegetables. The top right section contains guacamole topped with chopped onions, tomatoes, and herbs. The container is open, showing the food inside.

This is the best new Taco spot around, hands down. The food is freshly made to order, everything is superb! The staff pack the to go deliveries neatly and with care. Highly recommended Casa Maya if you are looking for the best quality authentic mexican cuisine, at great affordable prices from a couple of local Brooklyn professionals.

Cute place for a quick date. Mango margaritas are yummy. Tacos come 2 per order and are roughly 2.5 bites.

Great food and quick service. The place is kinda tight and it can use a little facelift, but the food compensated for it.

Worst place to order from via any phone app. They will just keep saying the order is ready in 10 minutes and the driver will never show.

It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.
